I used to use vanilla extract in cooking but I can’t any longer due to liver disease and the alcohol content in most extracts. I use extract for homemade air freshener and in furniture polish. That’s okay, I don’t bake much or eat sweets often anyway, but a little vanilla in my golden milk at night hits the spot. These are organic, so no additives I don’t want, they are ethically sourced, came vacuum sealed, and not a bad price considering how expensive vanilla has become. I scrape the caviar into my nightly drink for a little flavor, the fun speckles, and use the leftover pods as fragrance in sachets for my drawers. The smell is heavenly. I’m likely to purchase again because of the high quality and value.

My husband likes to make his own vanilla extract. These beans were fresh and moist when they arrived, and he was thrilled! it takes months for it to become usable, but then we have a great little gift and great flavor for his pies!

I LOVE these vanilla beans, I use them in literally every single baked good that I make. They’re plump, full of seeds, fragrant, and they always arrive fresh! They split well, they’re never dry, and they add robust vanilla flavor to everything. I save my pods to make extract, I combine 10 discarded pods plus 3 new beans to one gallon of vodka and and then give away the extra vanilla extract at Christmas!

PROS: 1- The vanilla beans arrived in a vacuum sealed bag for absolute freshness. 2- The vanilla beans were aged to perfection. 3- The smell was heavenly, and the pods were good and oily, loaded with a zillion lovely little vanilla seeds. 4-I easily cut/scraped everything, and added them to a bottle of Bulleit bourbon for homemade vanilla extract. CON: The vanilla beans were only 5” in length, which was not even ~2/3 the length of the package. (None of my beans were in the 6-7” range) I will buy again, thank you. :)

These pods are excellent quality, fast shipping was highly appreciated as well. I make a lot of vanilla extract, some to include in gift baskets, some to just give to friends and also for my own use. So while I haven’t tried it yet, I can say the smell was outstanding. The packaging was well sealed, and the pods themselves were highly aromatic and beautifully cured. I decided to make double fold extract this year so I used a lot of beans. Between the cost of the alcohol and the beans, my cost was less than half of what I would have spent to purchase single fold vanilla at the store. If you have time, (it needs to cure for a good long while, this batch is for next year) making good vanilla extract with quality beans like these, is definitely worth the investment! I know everyone who ever gets the small bottles I include in gift baskets etc, always raves about how wonderful it is. And using it is a true joy. I’ll be ordering another pkg soon to make vanilla sanding sugar and vanilla “caviar “ in special baked goods. Great product!

I used these to make little Christmas gift bottles of vanilla extract. I ordered them and they were amazing quality, thick and smelling delicious. So I ordered again! I’ll be using these to make vanilla every year. Showed up the next day too!
