I bought the 3 mm 28 inch gold plated chain. I've been wearing it nearly every day for 3 months now and it looks as good as the day it was new. I'm no jeweler but the color and luster look like real gold plating to me. I put a very small exquisite anodized titanium handled folding knife on it. I strung a small spring clasp on the chain and snapped the knife onto the clasp so I can take it off if I need to use the knife. The only problem I've had is the chain has a lobster clasp on one end and a ring on the other. That ring was too big to fit through my knife clip so I had to take it off. The lobster clasp doesn't really fit in the other end of the chain without the ring so I had to drill out the hole but it's still tight. Took off one star for that. I can't be the only one who wants to put something small on the chain.

Have had this chain for a while now and it still looks brand new. Great to style by itself or with a pendant!

This necklace was an awful almost neon gold color, very artificial, fake looking gold. Gaudy. Cheap looking. I could not give this as a gift, nor would I want to keep it for myself. So I returned it immediately! Still, this could please people who would like and want the flash and extra brightness of this gold necklace. And that's fine too. A big splash of brightness has its place! It's just not what I was looking for in terms of a gold necklace that looked more like a fine piece of gold jewelry.

Nice chain no decoration

Good item. It is as described and I try not drench it in water, so it is still lasting. Colour has not faded and no breakage. So yea value for Money.
