Product Description

· The Humane Solution - This two pack OWLTRA in-/outdoor rodent trap is the humane solution for getting rid of large populations of rodents, as 4 D batteries are enough to exterminate 60 rats efficiently. A bigger size makes it suitable for both mice and rats. If you don’t have batteries at hand, you can also choose to use USB cord as power source. · Outdoor Usage with Waterproof Grade IPX4 - OWLTRA OW-7 In-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap can be used outdoors when using together with the waterproof cover that comes with the product. Rodent entrance at the side ensures zero rodent escape and a quick elimination. CAUTION: The product MUST be used together with semi-transparent waterproof cover when being used outside. Place the trap on a clean dry surface and do not immerse the product in water. · Two Ways of Powering - You can use either 4 D batteries or USB cord as power source for the trap. When using USB as power source, please use power adapter or power bank DC 5V with current 1A or above. NOTE: Batteries are not included. If you choose to use USB cord, the cord must be connected to the product when in use (It does not charge the product in advance). With fully charged batteries this product can eliminate approximately 60 rodents. · Sound & Light Alarm - Together with the conventional LED alarm, a set of sound alarms are also added to remind you to clean up after the trap eliminates the rodent. · Convenient Bait Area - Lure rodents in by placing bait at the bait area of the trap. Simply lift open the bait door and use a toothpick or cotton swab to apply bait on the trap's floor, opposite of the entrance. Baits high in protein, such as peanut butter, are recommended.

I have a 1915 farmhouse in WI. Even though it’s in a small town area and not considered rural, we have a constant problem with mice. We’ve placed bait, we’ve done the snap traps, all of it. This works the best by far! I feel like it’s more humane, and it’s caught several mice in two days (I told you we had a problem). I used mini peanut butter cups cut in half as the bait and we put them in areas that we knew they were having a hay day in. We’ve left the traps out at all hours and we check them twice a day, and every time we’ve got one. We love it. It’s really easy to put together and even with cheap brand batteries it’s lasted a long time. And my husband loves how easy it is to get rid of them. And there’s no mess to clean up (so far) and no smell to deal with like when using bait. Definitely worth the money.

Previously, I was only accustomed to the traditional rat/mouse traps. The ones you have to be careful not to smash your fingers in! Our pest control guy uses the traditional traps and the bait boxes with the sticky pads. Not having dealt with a lot of rats, at least ones in the main living areas of my home, I wasn't certain about the best way to "erraticate" the pesky rodent(s). Sure, there are your typical rats/mice in the garage and crawspace, etc. Our pest guy typically addressed those "ratskills". Those traps are ok in those areas. Out of sight, out of mind, right? But, we had one enter our domain, and that was not cool at all! I wondered...what's the best solution? An electonic mouse trap? I must admit that I was a little skeptical when I purchased this, considering the price. Would it be just a gimmick? I questioned whether it was cheaply built, and whether or not it would really work. However, when it arrived, I found that it was constructed way better than I had expected. I was actually impressed! But, I still wondered if it would work. Well, that question was answered literally overnight! After setting it up the afternoon it arrived, the very next morning, the result was in! Sorry, Mr Rat! The governor granted no clemency for you! About the product: It is very simple to use. It takes 4 D-cell batteries, or you can use the included USB-C power cable (wall wart not included, but, hey, just use one of your extra USB-A phone plug you have laying around like I did). I used a small dab of peanut butter in the bait tray. Put the lid on. Power it on and set it against the wall in the area where you saw the little critter, or evidence of their activity. It has a light that flashes and a buzzer that beeps when one has been caught. When that happens, they are done! To empty it, you just turn the power switch to off. Open the top (the top comes off easily - not in a bad way, easily) and dump out the critter in the waste bin, or, you can have a proper burial if you should so desire! You do you! It's really that simple! In summary, it's a very effective product. Easy to use. We'll built. Great features for what it is. Much nicer than the Victor product I purchased at my local big box store, and it was less expensive. I believe it's a great investment and I will probably buy more of these to monitor other areas of my home. I highly recommend this product to others! Now, let's see if he has any relatives! Hope this was helpful. Have a blessed rest of your day!

This is a good idea in practice, as a more humane way to eliminate a rodent, however it did not work for me. I had a rat in my attic. I have no idea how it got up there tonthis day, but I could hear it scratching at night and/or when it was quiet. He could not get into the actual house/living area. I purchased this device and I honestly thought he was going to be done for the day I set it up, but boy was I wrong. I also bought an indoor Eufy camera to watch/monitor it. I set this trap up there and set the camera up in the attic facing the trap. It is 100% complete darkness up there when the light is off, but the cam was a PTZ cam with excellent night vision. I added american cheese and peanut butter with some fresh grated parmesan on a piece of tortilla in the bait trough (figured his last meal might as well be a good one). I also added a very small piece just inside the entry of the trap and a small piece just outside in front of the trap. Within no time I saw him eat the piece outside of the trap, as well as sniff all around the trap, focussing heavily on the vents right near the bait trough. Every so often he would return and sniff around the trap and look at the entry, but not enter. Finally maybe 5-7 days in (already too long for me) he reached in and grabbed the small piece inside the door. So I started thinking today is the day. Then over the next week he was beginning to go in further and further each day, reaching about 3/4 of his body in the entry at the peak point. However, I had to put a firm deadline that if he doesn't go all the way in TODAY and get zapped, I am going snap trap on his azz. Well, the deadline came and he never went all the way in, so I went up there and set a snap trap, turned off the light and closed the entry to the attic. I went outside to check the mail or something real quick, came back in and sat on my couch and then heard a noise and got a notification from the camera. Checked it and saw him get snapped. Within 10 minutes of placing the snap trap, he was done for. So, my point is, while this trap might work, in like a month to who knows, maybe 3 months, in the end a good ole fashioned $5 snap trap worked swiftly and immediately. One after thought of mine, is that they are in some ways much smarter than they are given credit for. I realized that I had not set the trap against any sort of wall, so he was always able to walk around all 4 sides of the trap and the top too. So I think he realized this was a box that went nowhere. A dead end. Perhaps if it was against a wall where at least one side of it he could not investigate, see or access, he might then think this is an opening into further exploration, like an opening into a wall or something, and not just a dead end box. Regardless, it ended up being the snap trap FTW in literally 10 minutes time of being set up. I gave this unit 3 stars because I'm sure it probably does work, and maybe more likely if set up against a wall. However, I think what would probably be the best idea for this is to have an opening/entry on both ends that they can see right through and out the other side, with the bait trough in the center/middle. I think a mouse or rat would be more inclined to go in if they can see that it's just a tube/hall with an exit ahead of them, and then when they get inside to the middle point, bzzzzzz. Oh, and let me tell you, I read about them and everything says they have good low light vision. I have to say they have excellent NO light vision. I watched this thing easily run along a rafter, and turn exactly when the rafter turned, and also hop from one thing to another. So either they have echo location or sonar, or maybe they emit infrared from their eyes, because they can SEE in complete darkness.

After battling mice in our home for over three exhausting months, this electric shock mouse trap was an absolute lifesaver. We tried everything-snap traps, glue traps, countless baits, but nothing worked. These mice seemed too smart for traditional traps, and we were at our wits’ end. we came across this product on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. Within two days, it caught a particularly clever house mouse that had been avoiding every other trap we set. The trap is easy to set up and use. Just bait it (we used cheese), place it where the mice are active, and let it do the work. The design is efficient and humane—it delivers a quick, effective shock and solves the problem cleanly, with no mess or fuss. This is the only thing that worked for us, and we couldn’t be more relieved!

So at first when I bought this thing I was super excited and then very very let down.... After an entire week I hadn't caught a single rat and I couldn't figure out why! I live in a mobile home in a very large mobile park with a lot of elderly neighbors who do not spend their money on rodent prevention. Many of my neighbors are horders with shed's piled high to the ceiling full of junk and as you can imagine where I live is a rat paradise. I'm the good neighbor who spends 200 a year on rat bait but there's just so many of them.I can't keep up.... So back to this trap at first i tried all different kinds of food from nutalla to peanut butter and even meat and cheese and not a single bite!!! Finally , discouraged and feeling like I was going to Return This thing because it was very expensive.I went back on line and read all the reviews on amazon. I have to say thank you to the lady who caught the hundreds of rats.Because it was her review that kept me motivated to keep trying!!! I decided to change things up A little after reading some of the comments about turning the unit off and leaving food in it To get the rats accustomed to it being a safe place to get a good snack. I have to say this totally did the trick. I went to the dollar store and bought a bag of cherry nibs. If you know what these are, they're just little pieces of twizzlers and apparently the rats seem to love them at least where I live! For a couple days I just left a few Nibs laying around the trap and then finally.I threw a few inside with the machine off. It only took a few days and I decided to fire it up. What I did was I put a handful of nibs At the back of the machine but I left one or two just at the doorway to Give the rats A tasty appetizer!! Rats are smart... Smarter than you think!! Once they have a taste of what's inside they won't stop. It's now only been one week and I have Caught three ginormous rats with this thing!!! The rats are so big here that half their body is sticking out the doorway haha. As much as I hate rats, they are still God's creatures and it hurts me to have to kill them. But honestly this device is very quick and humane. There is no blood or gore, and the rats actually do look peacefully, dead, I believe the kill is instant. It probably just stops their heart. Be patient, think like a rat and try cherry nibbs. I'd like to add that it's also a winter in Canada and at night it's hovering around negative temperatures and this thing is working great, plugged it to an extension cord. I decided to housewire it as opposed to using the batteries.Because I want humane kills.I don't want animals suffering because the jolt wasn't strong enough as its winter and batteries fade. Just personal preference.

Excelente producto, es pequeño, solo es para ratones, y es importante limpiarlo después de cada evento. No deja grandes residuos y es extremadamente sencillo desechar el cadáver de los ratones, basta con quitar la tapa y voltear la base directo a la basura.
