This Region Free DVD player is really Awesome !!! Especially for the price !!! I Put In A Reigon 2 and 4 dvd and it played perfectly right away !!! The Remote Works Great Easy to use and understand . Nice Compact Size to fit in my entertainment center that is close to full . Although Small Size and Very Reasonably Priced I Feel Like the Quality is Much More Than Paid For !!! Thank You I Love It !!!

My Sony DVD player was acting up and I got this Majority DVD player to connect to my TV. It was easy as usual to connect and works very well. Remote is easy to use, takes 2 AAA batteries [not included]. It comes with the remote, RCA connection wires, the DVD player unit and instruction manual. Video quality is fine, nothing special. No problems so far with this DVD player and got a 2nd one ordered as a back up if this unit stops working. Price is good too, low. 5 stars.

This is an ultra tiny DVD player it works. It comes with a remote and comes with a manual. Itβs very easy to set up. Iβve only hit 1-2 couple of interesting moments, where the cheapness of the quality added unique features to what I was seeing on the screen, but a quick restart, and the problems were solved. I am unsure of how long it will last, but it is nice to have a DVD player that doesnβt break the bank and allows me to watch all my DVD collections.

This is just the nicest little DVD player--very easy to set up and works quite well! The small footprint makes finding a place for it no problem. The remote has all the features that would be expected on a "big" player, and it plays a large variety of formats. It's useful that it may be connected several different ways, depending on the level of technology one's TV permits--older or newer. The settings for video, audio, etc., are also varied enough to fit just about any situation. I really like the three year warranty, in an age where it's lucky to get 30 days. Well done, Majority!

Liked how easy to set up. Liked the price. Easy set up. Nice and compact with small digital display (already better than the Sony I replaced with it). Nice remote. Front usb, so I can hook up my phone and play my music through it. Iβll play a dvd tonight and report back, but itβs 1080 with the usb hookup to my TV, so it should be as good as I can get. Will report back, if any problems, otherwise figure fine.

I wonder how long it will last but it works pretty great. It is lightweight, mostly plastic casing. I quite the minimalist style. Comes with HMDI cable and also audio cables. Thankful it's still around, I have a huge collection of DVD that I still watch. There are information sch as special features, behind the scenes, commentaries etc that is not available in streaming.

Needed a dvd player to play multi region dvds. As like many I now stream programs I didn't want to be paying a fortune. This little player is not only reasonably priced, it's well made and easy to use. Just plug in and play. What's more Majority planted a tree for this purchase. Looking at some of the other reviews I felt there was a need for clear explanations. 1. No, the buttons on the remote control are not small, there are just a lot of them. The Majority controller is the middle one of my three remotes and definitely not too small. I would suggest all you need to do is to familiarise yourself with your new remote's layout -ergo, no problems. 2. As advertised - the remote does not come with free batteries, but at the very reasonable price of the appliance you can not expect that (next people will be asking for Majority to pay their electricity bill!). It is no hardship to provide your own. 3. Once again as advertised - the package arrives with the player, the remote and RCA cables, therefore it should not surprise anyone when there is no HMDI cable included. You can buy an HMDI cable for as little as Β£6:38. 4. Yet again - as advertised this is a slim mini dvd player. If you wanted a bigger one, don't go buying a slim mini. Set up. I did receive a leaflet concerning the basic setting up, but actually this is so simple. It's literally plug in and play. I connected the dvd player to the TV using an HMDI cable (from my previous dvd player), plugged the electric plug into the electric socket and turned on. I have not accessed the online manual as everything on the remote control is self explanatory. Mine was set up to show English subtitles, used the obvious button on the remote control 'set up', went to subtitles and selected off. Picture was very clear, but wanted the 16:9 ratio, so once again going to 'set up' selected TV and chose 16:9 ratio. All set up, running and ready to play within five minutes of taking it out if it's box. Performance. Plays all dvds (I have not tried CDs yet and will probably not use the USB port). A very faint, gentle purr is heard when the disc is initially read, certainly a lot quieter than my older, larger and more expensive machine. Once initial reading has taken place, there is no additional noise from the player. Picture and sound are both clear and crisp. No problems loading the disc into the slot, this slot is no more fussy at accepting a disc than any other appliance I've had. You just have to be respectful of both the disc and player and look what you're doing. The remote control works quickly and effortlessly, no lag from pressing buttons, no problems pressing buttons and clear indication of which button is for what purpose, as I said before, just use your common sense and familiarise yourself with your new gadget. As an added bonus it came well packaged in its own box, which in turn was inside an Amazon brown bag to hide the contents and it arrived within 30 hours of ordering. I can definitely recommend this dvd player.

As weβve recently moved house and got our 4 year old settled in his new bedroom with his own simple TV set-up, we wanted a cost-effective and easy to use DVD player so that heβs able to view his favourite discs. Having set myself a low budget I was surprised to see how many players there were on the market and, having recently purchased a Bluetooth CD Player from Majority which Iβve been very impressed with, I opted to stick with the brand. Itβs worth noting also that a family member had recently been raving about a Majority DAB radio they had recently acquired for their kitchen, so I was confident in buying another product from the brand. The Majority Scholars DVD Player really is a no-frills, straight out of the box, plug and play, simple to use player. A simple HDMI connection is provided meaning that it was connected to the TV and working within minutes. My son was sat happy watching his favourite Tractor Ted DVD in no time at all. I think weβll also find it useful as he has a number of audiobooks and music CDs that heβll also be able to listen to in his own room, so as not to disturb us adults downstairs! Picture quality as youβd expect is great, even with older DVDs the player seems to upscale them reasonably well so that they still look sharp and crisp on a modern TV. I popped a handful of my sonβs photos heβd taken onto a USB stick (which is really simple to access from the on-screen menu). He was so pleased to see them come to life on his own TV and he was even able to scroll through the images with ease using the remote control. Heβll love this feature going forward, especially as he can access the USB port himself as itβs on the front of the unit. We only have DVDs from Region 2 (UK) however I note that the player will read and play discs from multiple regions, which will no doubt be useful to many. RCA connections provide an extra level of connectivity which again will be useful if required and they even include the cables for this. The player itself is very small, probably around the width of 2 DVD boxes - perfect for areas with limited space and easy to move to another room if required - itβs really light and compact. A couple of minor niggles; the first being that no batteries were provided for the remote control, but these were soon located in one of our many as yet unpacked boxes. I also feel that the remote control is quite generic, similar to ones Iβve had before with other lower-priced audio equipment - and Iβm still confused as to why the most-used buttons on these controllers also tend to be the smallest?!! The Play/Pause and Stop buttons are really small, so it took a while for my son to find them, but again itβs really only a minor point as the remote itself works fine. I also like having an Eject button on the remote control which some players Iβve had in the past didnβt have. A 3 year warranty is included once registered with Majority which is amazing for a product selling at this price point! Overall Iβm really happy and Iβm sure it will have many years of use from all the family - and itβs a great and cheap way to keep those cherished DVDs for just a few years longer!

Click to play video Sometimes i need to watch Region 1 DVDβs from America. Did take a while to get it to play, had to play the warning, stop it as it wouldnβt go past, pressed play again and it played the content. Great quality the video is on a 3k monitor using a 4k HDMI cable. Looks great, lots of features, average size for a modern player but still small enough to take on my UK caravan holidays. Simple to use easy to figure out just by fiddling with the remote and the setup menu button. The remote (I had to provide 2 AAA batteries for) has to be pointed at the unit to work hasnβt got a great range to the left or right of it but does work across my 2 meter lounge. Even does subtitles for my deafness. Highly recommended.
