Charging speed is great, durability, Functionality

Initially, I thought I had received the wrong cord. I had attempted to plug it into the security port on the right side of my laptop. Once I realized my error, I attempted to plug into the correct charging port on the left side and this charging cord worked flawlessly.

I was a little nervous about the cord as my old computer had been in storage for nearly two years without power but I plugged it in and it was charging up instantly and works perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

This item is great if you picked the right computer model and the connector consequently is correct. If not then you're screwed. Oh, and thanks for the 'converter' cable -- you should include that everytime. Pretty inexpensive adapter. I appreciate that.

This is an excellent charger. Had to replace the one I got when I got a lap top for Christmas two years ago. They last long, cord length is great. This one no longer gets hot after charging a few times. Nice not burning my hands

My new charger works just as well as the original Dell charger.

I bought this charger listed specifically for my model Dell laptop computer. My computer is only 1 and a half years old. After using the charger for just 2 months, I was sitting on my couch using my laptop with the charger in place. All of a sudden it gave off a big spark and burning odor. I quickly disconnected it and brought the charger and laptop to the bathtub in case it was going to go on fire. Very very scary especially thinking "What if I wasn't at home when it happened, would it have gone on fire?". I contacted an Amazon chat rep immediately, and was told it couldn't be returned because it was over the date to return the item!! I told the Amazon rep I was concerned over the fire safety factor first and Amazon contacting the company that made the charger! When the Amazon rep finally said the charger could be returned, I was told there would be a $3.00 restocking fee! I said " First of all, this should never be restocked, it is a fire safety issue, it should go directly back to the company and NOT restocked!" I will not be paying a restocking fee! Long story short, I was finally able to speak directly to someone at Amazon who said Amazon would be contacting the company about the safety factor AND I would not have to pay a restocking fee! Let's get our priorities straight Amazon and listen to what the customer is saying!!
