Make sure to follow the instructions completely. Just plain water for ice, allow there to be space between this product and other household products so that there’s air circulation and keep it clean. Ice will be wet, so I use a hammer to break up the ice after the ice has been in the freezer. It has an automatic shut off when the basket is full of ice, which stops there being ice on the floor. The ice is made a lot faster than my install ice maker and it’s portable. Very best buy for the price.

This thing is a MACHINE. Pun absolutely intended. Our whole family is in love! I went with this bullet ice maker due to two factors 1) we always run out of ice halfway during the day. 2) the bullet ice machines are half the cost of the nugget ice machines. I had realllyyyy wanted the nugget machine due to the fact that I like to crunch on ice. But it just wasn’t in the budget. This though? Right out of the machine this ice is perfectly crunchable. In our home setting it pumps out a load of small ice every seven minutes. Large every ten minutes. Note: the water reservoir is small. Though I don’t mind. It also is not refrigerated. It makes the ice. It dumps it into the bucket. The ice starts melting. The melt drips back into the water reservoir.

I purchased this AGLUCKY countertop ice maker almost 4 months ago. I live in a small lakeside cottage and the kitchen doesn't allow for a refrigerator large enough to contain an ice maker. Keeping up with ice cube trays, especially when entertaining, was a challenge I was just done with. I also don't have a lot of counter space but since this unit has a fairly small footprint, I was willing to at least test sacrificing counter space in exchange for giving up ice cube trays. When I bought this, it was on sale. Even so, I hesitated to purchase it because several 1-star reviews stated it stopped working after 30 days and customer service was non-existent. Seeing several of the same 1-star complaints is always a red flag to me. But - Because of the price and because of my total annoyance with ice cube trays I took the plunge. I am happy to say that almost 4 months in and we are still going strong. I use this regularly 1 -2 times a week. I fill it and make a full "batch" of ice cubes and when done, I leave the lid open to dry out and unplug the unit until I need it again. The ice cubes are very wet so if used directly out of the machine they are not long-lasting cubes and if placed directly into an ice bin in the freezer they become a big clump. To avoid this, I keep a gallon zip lock bag in my freezer and each time the basket is full of ice, I empty it into the bag and lay it flat in the freezer. When the next batch is ready I shake the bag to break up the cubes, dump them into the ice bin and repeat the process. One complete fill of water in the ice maker makes enough ice to fill the ice bin in my freezer. When I have the amount of ice I need, I open the lid and unplug the unit until next time. While the whole zip lock bag process may sound involved to some, to me it still beats dealing with ice cube trays. I unplug the unit only because that is the manufacturer recommendation for my Vitamix and it just makes sense to me to not run electronics when not in use for long periods of time. The "cubes" are only about 1/3 the size of a regular ice cube. The size is nice for filling water bottles and for cocktails. And yes, it really does make ice cubes within the promised 9 minutes. Of course, it isn't a great number of cubes but is ice in 9 minutes as advertised. I am very very happy with my purchase and have recommended it to several of my friends. I would definitely buy again.

So I purchased this machine last year to make ice for everyday drinks. When I first started using it, I thought it worked well enough. The ice melted quickly but I assumed it had more to do with ambient temperature of the room and room temperature liquids. I had no faults with it other than the fact that it was a bit loud and put off more heat than I anticipated. A couple days ago I had to retire the machine because it stopped working. I started noticing a few weeks ago that the machine was getting a dark colored buildup in the water reservoir and ice compartment that I assumed was from the calcium and minerals in my water. I switched from filtered water to distilled water and ran a descaler solution through it. I figured I bought myself a month of use before I had to descale it again. But less than a week later this darker buildup came back. I knew it wasn't the water this time. I deep cleaned the machine once again I'm hopes that the buildup would go away. This went on for another couple of weeks before I took a closer look and realized that at some point, in less than a year, one of the components had cracked. I have no idea how this crack happened. You'll see in the photos how it's a hard to reach spot. Most of the time when the machine is on, this area isn't even visible. I think the dark brown buildup was actually some type of lubricant leaking into the machine. I'm disgusted now thinking about how I was drinking that with my ice. Right around the time I realized it was broken, I noticed the gears having a hard time trying to lift the gate that would clear the ice. Eventually, it wouldn't move anymore and all you could hear was the clicking of the gears. I also noticed after I removed the ice maker from my table that there was a black, soot like substance underneath the machine and next to where the fan was. Maybe the dark buildup in the water reservoir was smoke? Maybe I dodged a bullet? I tried to get in touch with the company to ask about a warranty (there's supposed to be a 12 month warranty with an option to extend it) but their website has NO PHONE NUMBER and the emails I've sent have gone unanswered. I bought a new ice maker from a different manufacturer and realized that the ice my Aglucky machine was making was subpar. Compared to my new machine the ice was thin, small (even on the large setting), and melted quickly. I'm certain there was some mechanical error the entire time I had that old machine. If you don't care about longevity of your ice maker then perhaps this is a good option for you. I actually can't afford to throw away money and I care about quality, especially when I'm paying 20%-30% more than similar machines on the market.

Added this to the office and the speed it makes the ice is remarkable. It does make noise when distributing the ice but what ice maker doesn’t?!?!? The quality seems great so far. Have only used for a month and easy to add water.
