I have been really impressed by this device! I have had it almost for a month and started looking into this after I was at the movie theater and saw this device on the wall so I started Googling to find out what it was and learn about the brand. I am not sure exactly what the movie theater is using it for but I read up on what it senses in the air. It comes with an app (free) that helps to see the unseen or what you cannot see in your air. Top three things I did not know until I purchased this device: 1) Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer among non smokers and kids are more susceptible to the dangers of radon gas. (I do not smoke and have kids) 2) There is a direct relationship between carbon dioxide and how well ventilated a room is 3) Radon decay latches onto particulate matter (called PM2.5 - which is apparently very tiny) and then inhaled and gets into our bloodstream - Not sure why this is not taught in schools or why this is not stated during the home buying process I saw radon as a primary sensor and know I live in what is considered a high radon area. I thought setup was quick and easy considering I am usually pretty slow at getting things that are connected setup. You can place this on a flat surface standing upright or mount it onto a wall. I did the later and put it right above my thermostat - which I firmly believe does not show my the correct temperature so I also use this product as a gauge to make sure my Nest is correct. I did not realize how stuffy my house was until I saw how bad my carbon dioxide levels were in my home. I am determining if it is a too many people in one room issue or an air circulation issue with my vents. I really like the option to set different focuses in the app for productivity, headaches, radon, etc. I am learning more and more about different things in the air in my home and steps I can take to improve my air. Because I have kids I am now looking into another product by Airthings called Wave Plus for their rooms and potentially our basement unless I get a second View Plus. I am really surprised at the frequency I check this product and realize my routing is looking at my air quality almost as much as I check my FitBit for my personal health. I highly recommend.

Purchased this to track radon in our mostly-finished basement area. Wanted (1) A product that was wifi connected that could (2) track radon and humidity levels over a long period of time, (3) offered some kind of long-term dashboard/UI that was easy for human consumption, and (4) gave some level of warning if levels were astronomical. While spendy, this product was one of the only ones to check off all the boxes. I considered going with the bluetooth-only model to save money, but I'm really glad I didn't. The convenience of getting alerts from anywhere, seeing results any time of day or night is really worth the extra coin. I'll admit, Airthings really needs to work on their alerting system. Getting alerts about CO2 when working out in its vicinity, particulate matter alerts when cleaning, it's a bit annoying when the main alerts I want to see are radon and humidity, and I really wish they would allow you to set your own thresholds, but the smartphone app's UI and usability is exceptionally good and the product is easy to work with. My other nitpick would be battery life and/or no rechargeable batteries. The supplied batteries lasted for a solid 100-120 days or so. I replaced with my normal Energizer long-life battery and got maybe 75 days out of those before changing a couple weeks back to the next set. I usually can tell when the batteries are going because sometimes the results get a little crazy. I'd also like smartphone app alerts when the battery levels are, say, below 20% but I don't see that option. I mean, I'd love to just plug the unit into a power adapter and forego batteries totally, but I don't recall if it was an option on this unit, and batteries have sufficed. I may look into that later. Overall though, yes, it's expensive. But for constant monitoring, with alerts, to monitor all sorts of airborne levels, ACCURATELY, there isn't another product on the market I could find. I'm a satisfied customer, with a little polish in a few places, I could really see Airthings becoming a household name to the level that Ring and Nest have become. Great little product here!

Original Review: It's great to see the various levels of air pollutants the device measures. I have no way to know whether it's accurate. I had no problem at all with wifi or with the app. But when I contacted customer support with basic questions, I hit a wall. The process: Leave a question and your email address in the "chat," and they may get back to you. I still haven't got an answer to a question about moving the 2960 View Plus from one room to another. I was directed by support to an article about moving a DIFFERENT AirThings device from one room to another. Those instructions don't work for this device. It's been a few days. If I can't get an answer, I'll be returning it. A device in this price range should have customer support that can answer basic questions in minutes. One good feature in the app is a graph for each sensor's data. What would make that even better is a graph the overlays data from multiple sensors chosen by the user. This would show each pollutant in relation to others over time. Update 16 months after purchase: I ended up not returning it, but wish I had. After 16 months, the function that shows any troubled air quality category(ies) when you wave your hand in front of the device has stopped working. I thought I had registered the device, qualifying for the 5-year warranty -- but as their unfortunate customer service informed me, I had only registered for an Airthings account. So despite the receipt that shows me as the buyer, emails that show I had registered for an account (who knew it was the wrong registration?!), despite their own emails showing they could see what the device was recording when I reached out early on, they don't stand by the product, and I'm out $330.

I am a fan of Airthings products. I ordered two and I am very satisfied with it so far. Here are my feedbacks. I hope you guys can keep it up and do better. Strength: 1. The light and noise sensors are more useful than I originally thought. For instance, the light sensor helped me make decision if I need to add black out curtains to the room. I doubt the accuracy of VOC sensor. Given that identifying harmful VOC is really hard and complicated, it is reasonable to me. It is good to have it and it does capture the change. 2. The CO2 sensor is accurate and reminds me to open windows and exchange the air regularly even tho we have HRV running 24/7 at maximum capacity. I was surprised by the CO2 level especially during the sleep with door closed. 3. Nice look, good app, visualized graph, long-term data and easy setup just like other Airthings products. 4. One specific thing I really like the enhance is that it has really clear purpose and scenario, which is mainly used in bedroom/office. The combination of sensor makes lots of sense to me as I don’t like putting multiple sensors on the wall. Although it is missing the pm2.5, its price is more affordable and can be covered by the purifier. Areas of improvement: 1. The app can be more optimized for the enhance. For example, the app does not show the remaining battery life which is on the web dashboard. 2. It maybe a good idea to add “identifying sensor” to the app. If consumer bought multiple units with the same looks, they can easily mixed up the sensors. It is difficult to tell which is which. For instance, the “find the sensor” may trigger the one to blink signal light. It is the feature I saw on my wifi mesh equipments. 3. It works without hub from my understanding. However, to get real time data, it requires a Airthings hub. I have a wave view plus at ground level, therefore, it was not an issue to me.

Awesome product that’s easy to set up. It is also very accurate. How do I know this? I have a top-of-the-line air purifier as well and when certain numbers go up such as PM2.5 and VOC according to this device, the air purifier automatically turns on and they are in no way connected. Different brands. It’s also great in the reverse too.. I can see the air purifier working as the numbers in the app go down. Do I recommend? Heck yes. Pricy, but well worth it for the Radon tracking alone!

I am still waiting for some values because it takes time for some parameters. But overall it feels like an accurate device.
