I’ve had the Ring Battery Doorbell for a few months now, and it has completely transformed the way I secure and monitor my home. As someone who values both convenience and safety, this doorbell has been a game-changer in terms of functionality, ease of use, and peace of mind. First, the installation was incredibly straightforward. I was able to set it up myself in about 20 minutes, thanks to the clear instructions and the fact that it's wire-free. The battery lasts surprisingly long too, even with regular motion detection and video use. I’ve only had to recharge it a couple of times, and the process is quick and easy. The video quality is excellent—crystal clear even in low light, which is essential for those early morning or late-night deliveries. The wide-angle lens gives a clear view of who’s at the door, and the motion detection feature is spot-on. I get instant alerts on my phone whenever someone is approaching, and I love that I can see and speak to visitors directly through the app. Whether I’m at home or out running errands, I can easily communicate with delivery people or guests, which is great for convenience and security. Another feature I love is the two-way audio. The sound quality is surprisingly clear on both ends, and I’ve been able to have full conversations with delivery drivers, neighbors, and even the occasional solicitor. The built-in siren also offers an added layer of security—if I ever feel unsafe, I can sound it directly from the app. The Ring app itself is intuitive and user-friendly, with everything you need in one place. You can review video clips, adjust settings, and even link it with other smart devices for an integrated security system. It’s so easy to use, even for someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy. In summary, the Ring Battery Doorbell has exceeded my expectations. It’s reliable, easy to install, and provides real-time alerts that help keep my home secure. The video quality and two-way communication make it stand out among other doorbell cameras, and I feel much more confident knowing I can monitor my doorstep from anywhere. If you're looking for a high-quality, user-friendly doorbell camera that doesn’t require complicated wiring, this is definitely worth the investment!

Bought 4 camera doorbells one for each entrance into the house. Charging differs depending on use. The main upper-level Garage door charges once every 2 months. Gets the most use. The downstairs garage door gets the second most usage. The others, the front and rear doors, don't need a charge yet. The daytime camera looks good, and nighttime camera is super, even better with an outdoor light on. Connected easily to my network and the app works the magic. You can check on your house when away. The Ring fee is great as it’s based on household, not unit. We also have two indoor-powered cameras as well for added security. I looked and researched for over a year before I chose this setup. Highly recommend.

I bought the Ring camera because I had been thinking for a long time that I needed some security on my front porch. The price was right and I am glad I did it. Even though I have a wired doorbell, I decided it was easier just to get one with wi-fi. My brother came for Christmas and I asked him to install it. The spot I was installing it is too narrow, so my brother mounted a piece of wood first, then screwed the Ring Camera to the wood. It’s very easy and user friendly to use. I can clearly see whoever is on my porch. I also live with my 86 year old mother and it gives me peace of mind when I see her going out the front door to get the mail, or when she’s cleaning and shaking out rugs, I can turn on the intercom when I’m at work and harass her. The ring on the camera changes color when I’m talking to her (or anyone that rings the doorbell). I did purchase a door chime, so mom can hear when a package is delivered or if someone rings the doorbell. If you don’t purchase the chime, the person at home without a smartphone can’t hear someone at the door. You can also program the chime so that it sounds different for a package as opposed to someone ringing the doorbell. Sometimes the WiFi turns off of it for some reason, but mom has figured out how to disconnect and then reconnect it so it starts working again. The Ring camera detects everything happening on the porch. I can even see at night. I subscribed to the cheapest plan, it does everything I need, it records and allows me to interact with whoever is on the porch.

I got the Ring doorbell to replace a Google doorbell that was installed by ADT as a "free gift" for purchasing ADT. That Google doorbell was horrible. The doorbell was wired to my house making it difficult to remove to charge. The Google doorbell would buffer often, wouldn't work when the weather was cold and would often tell you to retry when trying to load it on your phone. But this isn't about the Google doorbell. It is about the Ring which I found more Superior in every way. A friend installed it in less than 5 minutes. I find the quality of the videos are very clear. The range of view (panning) is much wider. There's so much more I have to learn since I haven't had it very long. I'd highly recommend. Edit: if you're willing to pay a subscription, otherwise, all you'll have is a doorbell camera that will NOT ALLOW you to view PREVIOUS incidents. It's still a good doorbell camera but you need a subscription for more and better features. I've since found a more superior doorbell camera that uses a SD card. No subscription.

Great unit with a decent picture and plenty of setting adjustments to make it right for you. I do prefer the removable battery model, which is so convenient to recharge. I keep a second battery charged so there is virtually no down time and it’s a two minute job to change. As well. with a Ring solar charger, the battery changes only happen in winter for me as the sun is not on the doorbell then. I have a Basic subscription for the doorbell but I think the fact that if I wanted to add a home camera to the system I’d have to pay 3 times the cost for a Ring Plus subscription is simply outrageous. I’ve just got some TP-Link Tapo internal cameras instead, which I can view live and they have SD card for recording.

Click to play video Recently purchased the Ring Camera, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The build quality is excellent, and the camera provides a clear, crisp view of the doorstep. Installation was a breeze — within minutes, I had it set up and paired with my phone. The calling bell feature is especially useful, as it allows me to see who is at the door and have a live conversation with them, even when I’m not home. It’s a game-changer for convenience and security as we can also setup the range/area for detection and eliminated unnecessary false warnings. Highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly smart doorbell camera!

Unfortunately I was unaware that you need to pay a yearly subscription for the ring doorbell to work properly.

Working with Alexa the doorbell yells that someone is at the front door all over the house. Work very well and the camera is excellent.
