I have lived on my rural Oregon property since 1977. I have had numerous pets over the decades and never any fleas. Recently my beautiful neutered male 120 lb White Shepherd dog came into the house with tiny black fleas on his upright ears, numerous times. I went aack, went to my Amazon app, and I ordered this product. It works, and fast. No fleas, and it has been about a week since the application.

Much cheaper and works just as well. Good buy!

Minnesota has had a huge influx in ticks this year and my poor Wyoming pup had to deal with them for the first time. We bought this in hopes to help and it did for the most part - we did still find them stuck to her but they were dead and squishy (with and without blood in them). It did seem to lose effectiveness the closer we got to when she needed another treatment (it says once a month and we noticed less effectiveness around that three week mark). It did actually seem to help with keeping the mosquitoes off of her though! It may be helpful to note that we live in an area with a large amount of trees and tell grass as well so the amount of ticks out here is INSANE. Our issues may not be the products fault, could just be our environment!

Replaced name brand with these. Just as effective and could tell no difference. I live in the county with pasture and woods.

Play Video For years I had used the Advantix II brand. When using it I saw absolutely no fleas. But it's expense had me looking fora cheaper alternative that worked just as good. Eventually, such products started to appear. Except for packaging, the generics such as Advecta and such all seemed to work just as good. In fact after a few months use you could actually start to skip months and still controlled the fleas. The only real differences between the brand and it generics was the delivery system. Most of these required you cut the package in order to deliver the med;I didn't like that. Then I saw this product and its much lower price and thought my ship had finally arrived. I liked the packaging. It could be easier to open; people with arthritis will learn new choice words opening this but for others it's okay. But its efficacy leaves a lot of doubt. This was my first time using this brand and for the first time since using these products on my dogs, I see fleas. And usually after only a couple of weeks of application. Another thing is that when I apply it, my dogs start scratching: is it because it's starting to work or starting to irritate their skin? I dunno. I will not be buying these again. I'd rather cough up a few more bucks than see my fur babies scratching.

I have used this on all three dogs, and there have been no fleas or ticks. This product is budget-friendly and works the same as the name brand.

This did not work to help solve my flea problem. My dogs are not infested but get some from the yard when I take them out to go potty. They come from the many feral cats and opossums that come into the yard. I treated my dogs and after one week I found 6 huge pregnant looking fleas fleas on one of them. My other dog who is wearing a Seresto collar only had two tiny ones. I do believe this product is the same as Advantix which I had used the prior month with the same results thinking I might have had a knock off product and that’s why it didn’t work. Unfortunately after more research I found out that there are strains of fleas that are resistant to this product. The website todays veterinary practice dot com has an article “ The Flea-Infested Pet: Overview of Current Products” that was very helpful in explaining the difference in products and effectiveness. Hopes this helps someone. If K9 Advantix does work for your dogs than I do believe this product will as well. But for those in my situation you will have to use another product.

I decided to try switching to this brand for my two rottie mixes, as their brand name preventatives seemed to be increasing in price every time I purchased a box this year. I live in rural Michigan, with acreage consisting of sand, fields, woods, and everything in between. I haven’t seen a flea or tick on either pup since making the switch and they’re definitely all over on our land. My pups don’t love the smell and make cringey faces when I apply it on them, but it doesn’t bother me. I’ll continue to use this as our monthly prevention medication from now on.
