I recently purchased a Cherry "scissors mechanism" keyboard. It's a hefty keyboard, which would lead one to believe that it's well-built, sturdy, etc. "German Engineering Prowess" is top blurb on its Amazon page! After about a month of use I accidentally knocked it off my desk and it dangled by its USB cord for about 3 seconds. After that the keyboard cable would intermittently short the USB bus leading to very confusing symptoms (took a fair while to diagnose and then suddenly remember the "dangle incident"). That was it for that keyboard! Worst of all, I contacted Cherry and they will not sell/send a USB cord replacement. So, I ordered this Amazon keyboard and it turns out that 1) It's much less expensive than the Cherry; 2) I like the key-action, displacement, click-sound, etc, better; 3) It's much lighter than the Cherry so I'm suspecting that if it accidentally slides off the desk it won't damage the USB cable; and 4) It's actually easier to clean than the Cherry. Do yourself a favor and get this keyboard, it's a tremendous value. And value is the name-of-the-game, or should be.

I kept ordering different keyboards and didn't like them for different reasons. After trying out this Amazon Basics keyboard, I finally found this is a keyboard I can settle on. It's very functional, the keys work, you don't have to press hard on the keys to get them to work, and it's a normal layout of buttons. It's a basic keyboard, but it works well for what I need.

I recently purchased the Amazon Basics Wired Keyboard, Full-Sized, QWERTY Layout, Black, and it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly, no-frills keyboard. Here’s my experience: Design and Build Quality The keyboard has a classic, full-sized design that’s both functional and straightforward. The black finish is clean and professional, though the plastic build feels a bit lightweight. That said, it’s surprisingly durable for the price and sits securely on my desk without sliding around. Typing Experience The keys offer a decent typing experience with a soft touch and low noise level. While they don’t have the same tactile feedback as mechanical keyboards, they’re comfortable enough for daily use. The key layout is intuitive, and the spacing feels natural, making it easy to type without mistakes. Features Wired Connectivity: Plug-and-play functionality with no setup required. The USB cable is long enough to accommodate most desk setups. Full QWERTY Layout: Includes all essential keys, plus a numeric keypad for productivity tasks. Affordable Price: Great for those on a budget or in need of a backup keyboard. Drawbacks No Backlighting: This isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but if you work in low-light environments, you might want a keyboard with backlit keys. Basic Aesthetic: The design is utilitarian and lacks the premium feel of higher-end models. Final Thoughts The Amazon Basics Wired Keyboard is exactly what it claims to be: a simple, reliable, and cost-effective keyboard for everyday tasks. It’s perfect for casual use, office work, or as a backup keyboard. While it lacks advanced features, it gets the job done efficiently and without fuss. Pros: Affordable and functional Full-sized layout with numeric keypad Plug-and-play convenience Cons: Basic design and materials No extra features like backlighting or media keys

Pros Low profile Plug and use Keys don't stick Quiet Great price Cons Doesn't have risers on the back Simple No frills No frills keyboard that gets the job done. Unboxed and was quickly able to use. I am accustomed to a more elaborate keyboard at work but needed something in a pinch when I was sick and needed to work from home. Worked out excellently and will continue using it when I work from home.

I wasn't buying this expecting anything fancy. I had an emergency while working from home (original bluetooth keyboard stopped connecting) and this offered same day shipping. I received it very quickly and it does the job! This is a very basic keyboard. I like the fact that its not super loud when you're typing. I type pretty fast and some keyboards can be loud and obnoxious when you type quickly. So I liked that it was quiet. I ended up liking this keyboard so much - I bought another one to use in my actual office at work and replaced the loud keyboard I had. Again, this keyboard is basic, but if you need a trustworthy keyboard, even to have as a backup in case a bluetooth one stops working, I would definitely recommend this one.

This is a great keyboard - it's a tad on the mushy side - it's like typing on a 1974 Caddy Coupe De Ville. All the keys work, which is good - and because I'm using this on a spare Mac and didn't want to pay the Apple tax©, all the audio keys and keypad works well. It's a great deal and I like it.

I don't do gaming, so I can't speak to how well it works for that. Hence only 3 stars for gaming. Ergonomic, well, there's nothing particularly ergonomic about it. It's a standard, straight-forward keyboard. No twists, no turns, no raised letters. Just a plain keyboard, which is what I wanted. I've had it now for at least 6 months, I think, and the only problem I've had is one day the shift key got stuck. I have no idea why or how. I unstuck it and all has been well since then. If you're looking for a simple, straight-forward, highly affordable keyboard, this is it. Oh--and the letters have not even begun to slightly wear off the keys. Important point for me. It does NOT have adjustable/raisable feet on the back upper ends, but it is built to sit a bit higher at the back than at the front. Not noisy at all. All in all, this non-techie, simple user, is very happy with this keyboard.

Buena compra 👍

This is a basic keyboard, for sure, but it's quite robust and comfortable to use. The keys require a positive press, but for a non-typist like me, that is an advantage. It's a wired keyboard, so no batteries, and the cord is plenty long enough. If I have a slight grumble, it doesn't have adjustable legs at the back to raise it up at all. That's only minor, though, and doesn't interfere with the day to day use.

Keys aren’t big and aggressive like the old school ones with the loud clicks. Soft keyboard but still gives the feedback when you press the keys. Slim enough to carry around with my laptop and use as a proper keyboard. Good price. No complaints here.

Llego a tiempo y bien empacado.
