Excellent size Updates are fantastic. Easily sets up when prepared with account. So many features to help the kids safely grow and learn. Some familiar favorites and so many new options too. From astronomy and science facts to help with math or vocabulary the options are so worth it. We are grateful daily for prime kids plus account and our family connection to Amazon. The display quality is great. The design quality is so sturdy. The visual design is my kids most favorite yet. Sound quality is wonderful. Thankful I invested in this for our family.

12 year old requested an Alexa to play his music and he loves his Echo. Very easy to use and set up! Perfect gift for a pre-teen!

My son loves this. We gave it to him for his 12th birthday. He uses it to read to him and he asks it alot of questions. I personally love the parental controls.

We wanted to love the Kids Echo Show but they are not working as advertised. I bought two of these devises for my kids. Neither devise will play cartoons or tv shows unless we reset the echo back to factory default settings, and then register it again…. daily. Neither will play kids movies. Only one devise, at a time, can listen to Amazon kids music. Kids are always kicking each other off music which causes allot of fights. I can’t get either devise connected to Amazon prime, Pandora, Sirius, Disney, or Hulu, even with the help of Amazon help desk. Amazon replaced one of the devises and it still has the same issues with needing reset frequently. Kids do like listening to music and the limited amount of audio books. I like the drop in function which allows me to talk to my kids when I’m in another room (though there is a painfully slow delay in the video and voice). If all you want to do is listen to music and audio books these are great. They won’t play cartoons, movies, videos, or connect to any other apps. The devises are very limited in what they can do and do not work as advertised. Amazon will not refund the cost. They only offered a 20-15% trade in discount on a newer devise.

Intensive Setup: The initial setup and configuration was pretty easy and a good guide was provides. This product works through the Alexa app and the parental controls will be on your device. This can be a bit overwhelming for parents, especially those new to smart home devices. The learning curve might require some time and patience. I’m still sorting through how to enable certain routines, schedules, or games and have it work seamlessly on the Alexa device. It can sometimes be frustrating figuring out how to navigate what you want and how to get it and navigate around the parental controls—especially if your child is right on the older edge of these controls and might also want some older content, yet still needs parental controls for certain browsing aspects etc… 2. Limited Third-Party App Integration:While the device offers a variety of features, the range of third-party app integration might be limited compared to other devices, potentially restricting certain functionalities. In summary, the Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen) Kids is a fantastic addition to a child's bedroom, providing a safe and entertaining environment with educational benefits. Despite some navigation and implementation challenges, the device's versatility and kid-friendly features make it a valuable gadget for both parents and children alike.

Great for listening to bedtime stories, setting alarms, asking trivia, dropping in to ask kids to come down to dinner. The kids can call me if I'm out on the property or next door. Lots of fun uses.

They were so excite and love the parental controls.

This is the perfect addition to any household. Set up was super easy, connects to wifi easily and working with the alexa app makes it super easy. I love the drop in feature this offers, when I have to leave the house I can still see whats going on. I can still talk to my husband and kids and see the whole 1st floor where the echo is located. We can even check in on our frenchie when we are out. My kids love to call their aunt and Grandmother as well. This feature is easy to setup on the alexa app you can connect to your phone and allow only who you want your kids to call. They just say "Alexa call Grandma" they can even Video call which is what we really use it for. Of course you have the ability to ask Alexa questions too. My kids have used this for the tooth brushing song and love it . The Echo can tell bedtime stories and they can even use this to watch shows or play music. We haven't explored all of the features yet but we look forward to it. The only upgrade I would like to see is that it can be charged and hold a charge, currently you need to keep this plugged in so its not easy to take into different rooms. I would like to be able to take these places like maybe out to dinner so My kids can watch a show, play a game while waiting for dinner or even to take on road trips. All and all we love this Echo show and I now want another for the other rooms in our home.
