I use my Echo Show 5 every single day, and it has completely streamlined my routine! From waking me up in the morning with its alarm clock, to giving me the weather update and even letting me know my commute time to work, it keeps me on track. One of my favorite features is how it reminds me of important tasks throughout the day, so I never forget anything. On top of that, it’s become an essential part of my smart home setup—I can easily control my lights, check my security cameras, and even open and close my garage all with simple voice commands. The screen is clear, the speaker is great, and it’s the perfect size for a nightstand or desk.

Since the Echo Spot in my bathroom was constantly losing the internet connection and had to be restarted, I decided to replace it with the Show 5 on my desk and buy this new version of the Show 5 for my desk. Admittedly, I don't use all of the available options since I don't need them. When I watch Prime Video it is on my TV, but you can watch movies on this device if you want to. You can connect with video calling if the people you want to connect to have the Alexa app or an Echo device with a screen. I, personally, don't know anyone that has these things that I would want to connect to. You can control compatible smart devices if you have them. I do use smart devices, but they are not Alexa enabled and controlled by other apps. The most dramatic difference for me is the color contrast and vivid colors of the screen - they are incredible. This version stays connected to the internet more consistently than the previous version and verbal response is much better. Although I have speakers for the older Show 5 I put in my bathroom, this newer version really doesn't need them unless you want booming sound. The base and quality of the sound is a huge improvement. Even though I don't use all of the available options for this Show 5, I do love the screen and sound quality, but the other options are available if you want to use them. I absolutely love the Amazon Echo Show 5 (3rd Gen, 2023)! The compact size makes it perfect for any space, whether it’s on my nightstand, kitchen counter, or desk. The screen is sharp, and the sound quality has been greatly improved compared to previous generations. Setting it up was a breeze, and it integrates seamlessly with Alexa. I use it to control my smart home devices, check the weather, set reminders, and even watch videos while cooking. The display is vibrant and makes video calls and photo slideshows enjoyable. The addition of improved processing speed is noticeable—it’s snappy and responsive to voice commands. It’s the perfect device for anyone who wants the functionality of Alexa with the added benefit of a screen. Highly recommend it for its features, performance, and price!

We bought this echo at an upgrade for our old one. I has a nice clear screen. I love that is displays the weather and time on the screen. The speaker is really nice and sounds better than the old one. Alexa works good for thr most part, but it doesn't always play music when I ask it to and then I have to connect to Bluetooth to play songs. Overall, it's a good quality product with a few hiccups.

This product is super cool. I use it to control my lights and cameras while also using many other features. You can hook your ring door bell to it and see your camera which is super useful. The screen isn’t quite as big as I thought but that’s my fault for not researching better. The voice recognition works great, volume is fantastic! I very much recommend this

I updated from the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Echo dots to pick up this. I am glad I did because now I can ask her to show me any of my blank cameras and it puts them on the screen or I could shuffle through them and make sure the property is safe. I did go out and buy a stand for this and it works pretty well but if you lean it Forward too much or backwards too much it does get a little unstable. That is not the fault of the unit that is strictly on the stand. I will upgrade to a larger screen unit more than likely on this year's Christmas sale pricing for Black Friday the screen size is small but the picture quality is good. I like that you can shut off the camera and the speaker to have a little bit more privacy. It does seem to have a little bit less responsiveness than the echo Dot, however she still does understand you and she does give you the information that you've requested. All in all I think it was a good upgrade and with your trade in at the moment you get 20% off of the item when you trade an item in. I believe you only get that one time so look around and make sure you're buying the right size and model before you click that button.

The stand is a no brainer as it allows the screen to be easily seen especially in the dark.

Garbage

Upgraded from a regular echo to this in kitchen. Love it, especially having visual reminders of any timers set, being able to watch movies etc. only downside is no Netflix.
