I love this tablet. Inexpensive, works great, reliable, fairly durable, tremendous value. Am I pleased? Yes. I got it for Christmas half price which I halved again by trading in an old reader to the Amazon pick-up store nearby. It came with three months of Kindle unlimited for books, a $36 value. I got the 64gb version. Prime tv and movies works great, flawless even. Books are fantastic. Games are decent. Music is fine, there is a working headphone plug or Bluetooth. I got a cool clear case and glass screen cover from China for less than $10. Best battery life as much as 16 hours. Amazing for movies. I write this because at this time I feel like I owe the company a good review.

I bought this tablet because I was going back and forth on. Did I really need a tablet for my cozy hobby room? Truth is yes I did. I have a great app and I also put on a Stihl classics planner and let me tell you it has been so much fun. It downloads perfectly fast for me. Some people said that it didn't download that they were having problems loading or that the picture was not as clear as they would want. Now sometimes like if I'm watching YouTube sometimes the video is a little fussy. It isn't as clear as as if you were watching on a TV, but it's pretty darn good for its size. I absolutely love the size. It's a little big and obnoxious yes to some people but for what I'm using it for there's nothing really obnoxious for me to say about it because I write on it. I read on it. I love that it has a built-in Kindle I've already put. I don't know how many books on here and I'm so excited because I was able to get a lot of the books that I have had in my list to buy as physical books. Now I have them on my Kindle and they were way less cheaper which is awesome. So I have reading material which I'm totally excited to start my reading goal for 2025. It charges super fast. Let me tell you it is super super fast what else it is sleek it is thin it. The volume was great on it. The power button works great. The only thing that I would say that isn't great about it is the advertisements when you first turn it on and use the slidescreen. I'm a little annoyed by that that you have to pay a $15 fine or fee on it. I mean we already have bought the tablet for what $119 or $130 to some of us or if some of us were really lucky during Christmas time we got it for $79 well me I paid $139 for it. I think the the advertisements should be waived if you pay the full amount. I'm just saying that I'm a little annoyed by it. Every time I turn it on. There's an advertisement that doesn't really you know concern me. I don't like that. I like to be able to turn it on and see my own home screen but I will be taking it off for sure. I will be paying the $15 sadly. But $15 I guess is not so bad. But like I said, if you're paying a hefty price for the tablet already, you should get the the advertisements waived already. Just saying that's the only thing that I would say. That is kind of annoying to me but everything else about the tablet is super fast. It's easy to connect to your internet and I haven't had any issues so far. I'm just very excited to be using my tablet and using it for whatever I need and take it wherever I need to go. So definitely would recommend but also watch out for the ads on the lock screen. So beware.

Starting with the cameras, both the front and rear are 5MP with 1080P HD video recording. If you are like me - that means nothing, but, when you use them the images are crystal clear. The first time I did a zoom, the others remarked on how good the picture they were getting looked. Taking pictures, Wonderful results. If you want all of the technical specifics, they are listed on the page. BUT the results are worth looking at! I used to have to recharge my Kindle every few days. This Fire lasts a week or more without recharging. I use it mostly for reading but I also take pictures and do Zoom meetings with friends and family! it is so good I am going to let my church see it in action so that they can devise if they want to replace their old one with this or the 11-inch model to stream live church events and services. This Fire weighs in just under a pound, It is barely there and that makes reading at night a breeze. Yes, there is a blue blocking setting that you can customize or just set at sunrise/sunset - or leave it off! Yes, I highly recommend this Fure 10 - 13th Generation!

I got back into reading fiction during the covid shutdown because I wanted to read the Outlander books that the tv show is based on. The libraries were closed so I discovered the library's Libby app and Kindle app for reading books on my ipad (better late than never ;-). Two years ago I bought a Kindle Paperwhite so I could read outdoors in sunlight, but the Kindle's user interface is harder to use than the Kindle App on ipads. I need to enlarge the font a bit (baby boomer eyes) so with the small screen on the Kindle Paperwhite, I'm having to tap for the next page frequently. I decided to try the Fire HD 10 when it was on sale in November (I bought the version with 64 GB) for reading on occasion. I find it MUCH easier to read using the kindle app on the Fire HD 10 (and ipads) than reading using the Kindle Paperwhite. The Kindle app is much more user friendly than the Kindle Paperwhite, the screen is bigger of course so with my enlarged the font the Fire HD gives me more words on the page. The Kindle Paperwhite is much better if you want to read outdoors in bright sunlight due to the reader screen technology, but for reading indoors I liked the Fire HD better. For surfing the Internet, I find the Fire HD 10 definitely slower than my ipads. Installing an app on the Fire HD is slower, and of course there are more apps on my ipad. The Fire HD can't compare to an ipad, but then an ipad costs 4-5 times the cost of the Fire HD. For the cost, the Fire HD is a nice little tablet! My cell phone company had a Black Friday week special offer and I ended up getting a new free ipad as part of an upgrade deal. So I gave the Fire HD 10 to my brother. He loves it! He's installed several apps that he uses on his Pixel phone and was happily surprised that these apps were available in the Amazon Fire HD app store. My brother's phone is old and very slow, so the Fire HD 10 does everything faster than his phone plus the screen is bigger. He can surf the Internet, watch movies, etc. If you are used to using an ipad, you may not be happy with this tablet. I had bought it as a spare to read in the bathroom but I usually read books in the Kindle app on my ipad pro. For someone who can't afford an ipad, this is a great deal! Also great for a child to use as it's inexpensive in case it gets broken or lost. I give it 5 stars! What it does, it does very well.
