It is gentle enough that it doesn't cause allergic reactions for my family and despite all of us having extremely sensitive skin that is usually allergic to many laundry detergents! Also the bottle of detergent is big but not expensive so it is excellent value for our family since we seem to always be washing clothes on a daily basis.
