Our husky has an autoimmune condition that means she sometimes will suffer from skin lesions and medication is needed. Hated using the traditional style so, after using this design on a few fosters, we tried this one. Unlike some of the other brands, she was not able to destroy it with her paws (we do not trim her nails). It actually provided some cushion so that she was able to lay on her side while sleeping and actually sleep. Once she got used to it, she didn’t mind wearing it and would not fight us to put it on. Love that you can simply deflate and wash the cover when not in use. Great product and affordable option to the plastic cone!

This is a nice inflatable collar but not tall enough for my 10 lb. pup to reach his region after neutering. He still had to wear the plastic collar of shame. This collar is very practical for other purposes. Inflates easily and very comfortable for a dog or cat.

We got this for our VERY active 9 month old lab after her spay. It works perfectly! We are on day 7 and it has not deflated at all. Because she is so incredibly active we have left it on the entire time and she seems really comfortable. She kicked it off once at first, but then we put her collar through it and tighten it slightly and bam no issues with it coming off! I would highly recommend this. Also the pink is really cute.

My 12 year old, 60 # Aussie had a 5cm growth removed from her side. She has been wearing the Bencmate inflatable collar (L) and doesn't mind it at all. She can rest, sleep, eat and drink with it on. It, of course, keeps her from reaching her stitches. She can get in and out of her crate when she chooses to rest in there. It is easy to slip on and soft but doesn't get accidentally knocked off. No uncomfortable cones here. And, it arrived the day after ordered.

My Maltese had surgery and she came home with a plastic cone. She had a very hard with it since she couldn't look down. My SIL told me about the inflatable collar. I measured my dog's neck to get the right size. It fits well and it was night and day for her compared with the cone. She doesn't love it, but she can move around, eat, and sleep more comfortably than she could with the cone. I highly recommend it!

My first thought before buying was will this be as comfortably as the cone provided by the vet? For my pet I have to say no. Her head can lay basically normal with a cone. Would I trust this over the for sure vet provided cone when leaving the house? No (Package have a similar warning) Do I think my pet can eat with this doughnut over the cone? Absolutely Other thoughts the vet cone works great when used with the collar my dog has. My dog can honestly drink with it on but wouldn't try feeding. It has length issues & a sort of plow but will always use it instead of the doughnut alternative. Also if you didn't notice like me this doughnut WILL NOT work at all without a regular collar used with it. That being said & for the price it should have came with a cheap adjustable plastic clip collar. Honestly think this product is more a novelty sell than as effective as a cone. As the package somehow fells necessary to warn not a flotation device. I think I would instead recommend a flexible velcro cone over this product.

My beautiful 7 year old black lab has a grass allergy (she has had it since we brought her home as a puppy), which causes her to lick and chew at her paws (more the back paws). That will then create a lick granuloma, which then needs to be treated with topical and/or oral medications (generally a combination of both). Enter in the inflatable dog collar. It deters her from licking, I am not saying she can not reach her paws, but it keeps her from going after her paws, she just doesn't even try when she is wearing it. I honestly do not remember the last time we used a plastic cone, we have used inflatable collars for years for both of our dogs. She has unrestricted vision and mobility (no bumping into the walls), she seems to be comfortable as she is able to lay down and sleep without any issues. She is able to drink and eat with it on, It is easy to inflate and adjust, it is easy to wipe off/clean up if any food droppings or doggy slobber get on it, and it is easy to store once deflated.

Pics shown are a large size. Needed a 15" circumference and the large works great. The material is comfortable and strong to withstand a kicking dog. The velcro strap is adjustable for various sizes (within a range) and can be used for one of our other dogs as well. The dog shown does not love it but she tolerates it as it is as comfortable as a neuter situation can be. Had a very minor issue when first ordered but contacted Bencmate and they addressed it immediately. It was less than a week for the issue to be resolved and I am very happy with both the product and the customer service. A real person answered the inquiry and handled it quickly and efficiently. Good luck finding that these days. If you need something to keep your dog from licking or causing further irritation to an area affected by surgery etc I would definitely recommend using this. The collar is tightly form fitted but if your dog is especially persistent in trying to push it off simply place their regular collar in front of the inflatable collar to help keep it in place. Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Comprato per il nostro cagnolone per proteggere una brutta ferita sul muso. Purtroppo prudeva molto e nel grattarsi ha peggiorato la situazione. Era molto spaventato dal collare elisabettiano messo dal vet, invece ha accettato molto serenamente questo. È morbido, gli permetteva di mangiare, bere, dormire e giocare senza fastidio proteggendo la ferita. Per me ottimo.

I've used this twice , one when my dog had an operation and recently when he injured his back leg. Both occasions the collar has prevented him from licking the area and has allowed the wound to heal. Much better than the dreaded plastic cone and more comfortable for him as it doesn't catch on the floor all the time. It has a valve on the air inlet that helps to keep the collar inflated for longer. It lasts my dog for two days between air top-ups. The outer cover is washable and the velcro holds well. Thoroughly recommended.
