I have a 70lb rescue doggy who is VERY effective at destroying dog beds. We’ve had him for over two years now and… I’m sure we’ve spent over $1000 on different dog beds during those 24 months (probably much more…. 🥴). I would say that this dog bed gets an A+ (for us - all dogs are different) in terms of how waterproof/washable it is, chew/rip proof it is and comfortable it is. Most beds I get for my doggy’s crate last a week, at most….. some not that long. I try to make sure he is tired/well exercised and has alternative items to chew (and this helps), but he can’t seem to avoid chewing up his bed and then looking absolutely miserable afterwards… because it is no longer comfortable (poor baby - he loves both comfort and destruction). He also digs a lot before settling and has surprisingly talon like claws (I believe the initial rip has sometimes come from digging and then reminds him of how fun destroying it is) and has struggled behaviorally with peeing in the crate. (This has improved with a smaller crate, lots of positive reinforcement and some anxiety reduction… and is due to a combo of instincts and neglect during puppyhood - before rescued starving). Why this Dog Bed Works for Us: - The outer material seems to be pretty dig/rip proof. It is short, so he can’t grip it with his teeth well and it’s taut without extra space for him to grab. And in 3 months, he hasn’t ripped it when digging and circling. That being said the material, is still soft. - The zipper is covered well (we have the large size, 36"L x 27"W x 6.5" crammed into a 36" L X 23" W X 25" H crate. The zipper is already below the bolsters and on the bottom, but I believe the squeezing it into the too small crate further hid the positioning of the zippers, making them unreachable beneath. (I recommend this for anyone else whose dog will use the zipper as an entry point - size up and squish in - it also increase the nest feel, if your doggy likes that). - It’s comfortable - some washable and rip proof dog beds have no comfort, some even have wind proof slick material. My dog just looks miserable (he is bony ish and likes his comfort - they seem worse than blankets and like sleeping on the floor). Plus.. he has still torn them 🤷♀️ - The memory foam in one piece - so many beds he’s opened up and we have shredded foam (or whatever it is) all over. Often green shredded pieces - all over the house and difficult to piece back together…. Especially if peed on (sigh) - Waterproof lining of foam. We’ve had to toss a lot of beds once he peed on them. They may be theoretically washable, but not for larger amounts of pee, which is what my dog will do if he pees. Other beds, the pee would get into the cushion… or pieces of cushion and it’s just impossible to get out. This bed has a pretty decent waterproof lining around each bolster and the main mattress. So, the cover can be washed and then the individual bolsters sanitized without it touching the cushion. (If any does get in, the cushion could theoretically be cut away since it’s one block and super thick). Also, it shouldn’t be getting through. **In the images, you will see the bed is ripped!! (What?!?! I just wrote this long review telling you how it worked for my dog). Well…… while washing the outer cover, I threw the main pad in the crate with blanket for my dog. And… he ripped through the waterproof cover and some of the foam. THAT being said…. Because it’s one piece of foam instead of pieces, it wasn’t a huge mess and I was able to cut off the messy parts, adjust the liner so the torn part was on the bottom and put the the outer cover back on - walah! So, apparently, the liner isn’t tear proof. The dog bed has absolutely worked when used as meant to be and thankfully was recoverable (I don’t recommend doing what I did). **Disclaimer: Despite having destroyed every other bed we’ve gotten for him, I do not think my dog is the most persistent digger/destroyer and could imagine persistent dogs getting through this. He’s not a puppy and isn’t teething and doesn’t seem to chew out of anxiety (although he has a little). He just seems to really enjoy the process and is unable to resist. I do think most dog beds have been easy for him to destroy, despite marketing claims and it doesn’t take much effort (like when the cover was off this one). You know your dog best, but based on this one’s durability and comfort, I felt it only right to add to the many positive reviews. Thank you to the makers of this one! I had literally put dog beds in my monthly budget, as we were working on this. And after he ruined it, I’d try to fix it, but ultimately he’d end up without cushion, on blankets, looking at me like I betrayed him, until the next month, when we’d try a different type. I vacillated between expensive and cheap, wanting to find something that worked, but also not having a ton of money. This one is $30 on sale, for large size, which…. You can’t find much cheaper. But, I would have paid hundreds, as it’s easily saving me that much. I have one for another spot in my house (he doesn’t chew while here), but it can be a second for a when washing it. I may even get one for the car, for its wash ability and comfort 🤷♀️

My dogs lay in this bed 24/7. The bed doesn’t shed its fluff on the top bedding area even after being washed. It’s still soft and I wash this bed every other week. And it is very easy to assemble and disassemble. I don’t put the cover in the dryer just because I don’t want the grip dots to fall off the bottom of the bed…I’ve had that happen before with another brand dog bed. I just lay it over chairs to dry. Over all 10/10 love the bed! My old boy is stunk in his ways so we had to add his blanket into the bed so he would lay on it once I got rid of his old bed.

The animals will lay on it. My mini-dachshund can stretch out instead of always curling up like a shrimp in a round bed with a divot in the center. It does have a bit of a cheap-y look to it, but I do like the color combination. The cover was slightly too small for the foam so it was surprisingly difficult to put on and there is an ever so-slight bowing. Hoping that it settles over time, but it doesn't take away from the functionality of the product. So, taking off a star because it isn't a perfect product and I don't feel like raving about it, but it is a solid purchase if you're going for low budget simplicity.

My 2 large dogs love them. Snuggled up in them as soon as I put down for them. Nice looking. They were easy to assemble. Appear to be made well. Haven't had very long so can't say how well they will hold up. Cushioning seems to be good.

If you like peace and quiet throw this bed in your cart rn!! My dog is obsessed and hasn’t chewed this bed up in the past 4 months that we’ve owned it. He loves the pillow edges, and it fits both inside and outside his crate. So easy to wash as well. 10/10. We like to stack it on top of his hammock so he is more elevated and closer to the couch.

Easily the best dog bed I have ever purchased, I’ve bought so many from other brands that fell apart or were not waterproof but this one has held up in the wash, the zipper intact and after the dog did that thing where he scratched it trying to get comfortable. 10/10 very pleased

I have two beagles and they love this bed. It’s wearing very well and does not hold the hair as my old one did. Zipper works well but it takes a little time to put it together after being washed, especially by yourself.
