Play Video Been a Britax fan for over a decade when the roundabout was my favorite convertible seat. I just love the quality of this brand. It’s very sturdy, easy to install, Clean and most importantly extremely comfortable for my babies. This is my second purchase of the poplar and I love the slim profile makes fitting two in the back of my Honda ridgeline a breeze with room for another passenger. No cons for me it’s the absolute perfect seat. Get it you won’t regret it you will if you don’t.

I will say that installing this car seat at first was a bit difficult and confusing for me, but I watch Britax’s video tutorials on youtube which helped. Now that I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times, I find it very easy. I love the click tight under the seat, it works great. The car seat is so secure and doesn’t move an inch. I find the adjustments very easy to use as well. It is very cute, and fits decently in my compact sedan (Chevy Cruze). It seems pretty comfy too. I, thankfully, can’t actually attest to the safety of this car seat, but Britax is highly rated in that department from what I’ve read. And I did a lot of reading before making my purchase. Overall, I really do like this car seat and recommend it. First time installation was difficult, but once you figure it out it is much easier. 👍🏻

The best slim fit car seat there is. Easy install with multiple recline levels. The seat itself is fairly light in comparison to others we have used. Love that the seat belt gets locked into place underneath where your kid sits. Material is nice and easy to clean if needed. Manual is easy to read and helpful with install instructions

I absolutely love the size of this car seat. I have britax one4life and that seat is massive compared to this. I first used this seat for my 6 month old at the time but I felt that it did not recline as much as I would have liked so I gave my 3 year old the poplar and gave the 6 month old the one4life. Now that my toddler uses the seat it is easier for her to get into the car since we're able to remove one of the cup holders. She is forward facing and the install is extremely quick and easy since it has the click tight technology. We will forever be a Britax family because of how easy the car seats are to install. Takes maybe a couple of minutes to get done. Unlike most other brands of car seats the padding on this seat is very comfortable and I don't feel like my toddler is sitting on a hard piece of plastic. The padding is also very easy to remove and wash and then reattach. I would highly recommend this car seat for anyone that wants a safe comfortable slim style car seat that you can use rear or forward facing.

We have the Boulevard and loved the installation. This car seat is the same click tight mechanism and is super easy to install. The main complaint with the Boulevard was the location of the harness release. The Poplar harness release is a bit of a maze to find initially but is in a much easier to reach location. The seat fabric feels soft and there is plenty of padding for smaller babies. Overall, this car seat is built great and is very comfortable for our child! We've bought multiple for our multiple vehicles.

Overall we have enjoyed the car seat. We have had it just under a month now. We wanted a car seat that could accomplish 3 things. 1. Extended rear facing option 2. Easy to install 3. Easy to adjust straps This car seat does fulfill these options for us. It has the highest available limits for rear facing. It uses clicktight technology so you aren’t trying to pull a ton to get a tight install. It also does not require rethreading the straps to adjust the level. These are the pros for us. The biggest two cons are that the car seat is very very heavy and the fabric part is difficult to get on and off. 1. The car seat is so heavy that it exceeds the lower anchor limits around 35lbs (check the manual for exact limit). This requires you to install with the seatbelt which is not much more difficult because of the clicktight technology but the latch system is so easy. We also were hoping to have a car seat that was easier to install so that it would be easy to switch the seat over to a different vehicle. Unfortunately because it is so so heavy, it is not convenient to do so. 2. Our first convertible carseat only had two fabric pieces to take off when cleaning was required. They were also easy to put back on. This has several pieces and lots of little loops and parts that you have to carefully retuck the fabric. That’s fine but I was not expecting it. We had to wash the cover fairly soon after installing the car seat since our toddler had a bathroom accident. TLDR: We are glad to find a car seat that worked for extended rear facing and that is easy to install and use. We were surprised by how heavy it was and the time it took to put the fabric back on the seat after cleaning.

I am impressed at the quality of the car seat. It is definitely heavier (sturdier) so you won’t be lugging it around but it is by far the best car seat around. The shoulder pads and the buckle pad are thick. It is very easy to tighten and loosen. Baby fits in it perfectly. The install is SUPERIOR to any other car seat. I feel confident knowing that the car seat will protect baby in case anything happens. I will never buy a different brand of car seat again. I know there are a few that convert into booster seats but I don’t think it is worth sacrificing the safety that is needed when they’re younger. Booster seats are inexpensive. I’d rather purchase this one that fits and protects nicely in the first few years of life, and then later on purchase a booster. I love that baby is able to rear face longer as well. There is a level on it too so you know when you have the car seat reclined just right.
