Know that the external thermostat setup is not an on and off switch input. Its an input for an external thermistor (5vref). If you are planning on using a regular 24v thermostat, you will need a bit more modification than just connecting to the external thermistor connection. Until I can either source a diagram of the actual control board, or set aside time to reverse engineer one, I pulled the internal thermistor out from the housing and have it hanging outside the case. Elegant? No. Does it help with signal dilution? Yes. In terms of the heater itself, it's a 10kw heater. If you put air through it, it makes it hot. Don't point it at things you like, and add airflow for circulation in the building and it works perfectly. Installed in a 30x40 metal building with 10 foot ceiling. R5 insulation installed. 30 degrees outside and it held 78 inside without issue

So far so great, easy to hang not very heavy at all! I set the temp to 50 degrees and it keeps it at that temp. I have a 2 car attached garage, works great and the remote is wonderful not to use a latter too adjust temp.

Quit working after 2 weeks. Edit- customer service reached out to me and got me a replacement, shipped and arrived quick. So far so good with it. Hopefully gets through the rest of winter.

Play Video Bought 4 of these to use as additional heating for a retail space, we hired a electrician to install them, but having issues with getting the proper voltage, the manual doesn’t explain it exactly but from the looks of the manual the display should show 240 but were only getting 207-209v on all units. The fans don’t stay on the entire time, the controls are a bit confusing as well. The manual states there’s should be a L and H mode for low and high but most times the H mode is missing. There’s no website or email to contact the vendor directly so I’ll probably be returning these and spend a little extra for better designed heaters. Disappointed in the lack of instructions and available support.

This unit requires 6 GA. wire and 50 Amp breaker as it is a direct wire unit not a plug in. It works great in my insulated 3+ car garage. Smaller units are available so get the unit that fits your space and your power supply.

I used this heater to heat a garage that is insulated. The remote is not user friendly. It takes some figuring out to get it to work. I don’t feel like it heats as well as it advertises.

This heater works great in my aviary keeping my macaws warm in cold weather. It replaced an older heater that was very heavy and hard to move. This little guy is great and easy to pick up and move around. I don’t have it mounted from the ceiling but sitting on cinderblocks. another plus is that it works with remote control.

It's a well built product, that works as advertised. It doesn't put out as much heat as I had hoped but it does take the chill away in the garage. I wired mine up with 6g wire and a plug end that I plug into my 30a welding outlet. Didn't want to climb into the attic and insulation for a hard wire option to the breaker box. I'll run the cord over a hook next to clean up the look.

This particular space heater is currently being offered alongside a $50 discount, and I would encourage anyone on the fence about their decision to take advantage of this reduced cost, as it is the perfect price-point for this product. Provided that your basement or garage meets the required specs, this is pretty much a play & play piece of equipment straight out of the box (aside from the mounting hardware should you choose to use it). However, if you opt not to mount the heater, just be sure to keep the backside away from walls by a good 8-10 inches to avoid marring any surfaces. Once you're up & running, it is unmistakable how powerful this space heater is, and while it does consume a lot of power to do so, it warms a decently sized area very quickly and produces a quality of heat that lingers, which means you won't have to keep it running terribly long to feel the results. Overall this feels like a good investment -- even at the full asking price -- but it is definitely an incredible deal if you happen to pick this hefty gadget up at a discount. Recommended.

Great heater. Far better than my old 7500 watt model. Seems to have more than twice the heat and twice as quiet. Thermostat has a digital temperature readout for precise settings and the remote works fine if you position this above your reach. Heated my 800 square feet garage up so I could work in a T shirt when it was-20 C out. Couldn’t be happier, worth the extra money.

Purchased last week and installed today. This garage heater is very good. I purchased a dynaglo 5000 watt last year and died last week after warranty is over. Cost to repair is more than it's worth. So I purchased this one and have been very pleased. It is very quiet. Heats up my 2 car garage very well . I ran it at 5000watt to warm up garage fast. Then after I got up to 65F, I switched to 4000watt. And maintains the garage well , even after opening and closing door a couple of times. Please note: this heater is capable of using an external thermostat. DO NOT USE ANYTHING BUT 10G WIRE, AND SAME FOR THE THERMOSTAT WIRE. and the thermostat has to be a 240v thermostat. , so not a regular house thermostat. the thermostat can be single pole or double pole. I chose double pole as it can turn off the heater, where single pole brings temperature down to the lowest setting on thermostat., so not off. I wired mine with the power wire from the dynaglo that I threw out, to test the heater before hard wiring.l and so far so good.

My garage is also a workshop for me so it is already wired with the appropriate 240v which is required. Also note that the plug is nema 6-30. So if you are just looking for a standard heater for your garage, this is not it. For my purposes this is great as I do spend a lot of time in my garage in winter. The 4800 watts of heat can handle a much bigger space than my 2 car garage. This is a 5 star product based on build, mounting equipment (wall or ceiling), heat production, and remote capability. You can adjust the direction, and set a timer, and maintain heat through the thermostat. Good quality steel build. A longer cord would have been a bonus, but to be honest based on the output, you do not need to move this around. Good product.

Simply removed my old garage heater from its hanger on the ceiling and installed this one. Its fairly light, very adjustable pattern and puts out good heat. I appreciate the internal thermostat. Heats up my 20x30 garage in winter pretty quick and after watching the BC hydro costs, its about 50c per hour to use on med-high. Pretty decent as I use it when wrenching only, then turn it off.
