I have been buying the Contigo Byron for several years now because the cover's closure mechanism wears out over time (2.5 years of daily usage for me) and Contigo doesn't sell replacement covers hence you have to buy the whole travel mug. But I do like the fact that it doesn't leak if it is knockedover and this model has the rubber grip which helps when transporting hot liquids. As far as their statement about keeping hot liquids hot for 6 hours, I find my coffee is luke warm by the 3rd hour no matter if it is summer or winter. This unit does fit nicely in vehicle cup holder and I like using the 16 ounce size. I will continue buying this brand and model in the future and am overall very satisfied with this product.

This has been the BEST TRAVEL MUG I've EVER gotten.... It not only holds the heat for a record 12hrs(!) but it's completely and undeniable LEAK-RESISTANT!!! I can fill this travel mug all the way with hot coffee, screw the lid on tight; and the REAL MAGIC ✨ IS IN THE DRINKING SEAL-- cause once that's snapped shut, you can LITERALLY TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, FULL OF HOT COFFEE AND SHAKE IT REPEATEDLY (UPSIDE DOWN) AND NOTHING, NOT A DROP COMES OUT!!! I am BEYOND IMPRESSED with this product.... The design is flawless, easy to grab (even with my little kid-size hands) and seals so securely that I would be perfectly COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT with filling it up, sealing it, and literally TOSSING it in my purse/bag/coat pocket. The lid DOES take some time and care to clean -- HOWEVER,. I think that's a suitable trade-off for the security it provides against leaks/spills. I like the look and design of it, matches my taste perfectly, it'll go with ANYTHING you've got... In fact, my kids father hijacked mine and now I have to buy another for myself --- it's THAT DAMN GOOD....
