Watching an episode of "BBQ High School" I saw them using this type of knife and, of course, jumped on Amazon. When it arrived later that day, I opened it up and was amazed. First of all, the packaging is like that of a Rolex watch. Amazing quality of packaging, crispness on the details of the box, just stellar. And then, opening the box, I am SURE that I heard angels sing. Placed in a beautiful, sturdy and high quality sheath was my new "Samurai Sword" for brisket. Sliding it from the sheath, the angels sang and my breath was taken away. What a GOREGOUS knife! The blade was just stunningly beautiful and honed. And the way it slices? Like butter. Was always intrigued (I cook) when you go to a banquet and walk up to a carving station and see the chef hacking a very very thin slice of meat with this type of knife. So got bored and researched it and found this one - read the reviews - pulled the trigger and bought it. WOW! SHARP - SHARP SHARP! Works great and well crafted! Comes in a nice box for storage. I hand wash - dry and store after each use. Has some nice weight to it and not junk. Damn nice carving knife.

I often buy meat in bulk and usually not trimmed. I was looking for a good butcher knife to make the trimming process faster and easier. After carefully reading customer reviews I selected this knife. It looks great, is well balanced, and oh boy is it sharp. This cut my butchering time in half. The grip is great for medium to large hands. Is ergonomic and wide. It may be a challenge for smaller hands to keep good knife control.

The packaging was very nice. The knife looks and feels great. Nicely weighted and sharp as described. There was a blemish on the end of the blade. I was able to buff most of it out. Great knife for the price.

I bought this brisket slicer based on a review video I saw that compared half a dozen or so brisket slicers across a wide range of prices and the Cutluxe 12" brisket knife was the over pick. When I received the knife I was impressed with the packaging and presentation of the knife. The fit and finish of the knife was very good and it feels good in the hand. The handle is a bit on the larger size. I have big hands and that works perfectly for me, but it may be something to consider. the handle has a more rectangular shape that is well rounded which allows for proper indexing and the knife doesn't roll in the hand. Also the pakkawood handle has good grip and doesn't slip when you hand are greasy slicing up a brisket. The blade is very sharp and slices through brisket with minimal effort. I have used it to slice a couple briskets and smoked turkey breasts and it works very well. I have never used a brisket slicer before this one but the length of the knife makes getting consistent cuts easy compared to using a chefs knife trying to slice through the width of a large piece of meat. The only thing I noticed is that the rear pin in the handle sets the tiniest bit proud as some other reviewers have noted. But honestly I don't know if I would have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it, and I have never noticed while using the knife. I have been really impressed with the Cutluxe knives and since purchasing the brisket slicer I have bought a few more for my bbq set.

This is a highly functional long, shiny and very sharp carving blade. I love the look and feel of this knife. It cuts through meat like a hot blade through butter. The sheath is functional and keeps you from lopping off fingers if you keep it in a drawer with other kitchen gadgets and go digging for a spatula. Excellent buy with no regrets.

This is a great slicer. Packaged well, sharp, and comfortable. The blade (edge to spine) is wide enough to keep you on track for straight slices. I have used it on smoked meats, and for slicing open full blocks of soft Hawaiian rolls.... never failed, and no miscuts at odd angles !!

As a fairly serious Foodie, my kitchen has good implements. My knife block includes paring knives from a trip to France, high end knives that are sharpened daily and my husband's Dad's carving knife from the turn of the century - not this century! This knife is a careful addition to the block and does not disappoint. It us beautifully crafted, a pleasure to hold, has perfect balance in my hand and excels at its task. Tonight we had a difficult ( but tasty) little lamb roast. This knife made the carving possible and speedy. Highly recommended.

After a bit of a mix up with the delivery we used the knife to cut a cooked joint of beef. Wow! It glided through the meat so easily. The knife has a bit of weight to it which assists with the cutting and feels really good in your hand. It appears to be well made and so far I would say excellent value for money. I would buy this brand again.

couteau spécifique pour trancher le jambon ou le saumon. Il est de bonne qualité et très coupant. On l'a bien en main et la coupe est facile. J'ai apprécié le fourreau qui protège la lame et le coffret dans lequel ranger le couteau car sa grande taille ne permet pas de le ranger dans un tiroir. Je ne regrette pas mon achat dont le prix est très raisonnable vu la qualité du couteau
