This little Dash egg cooker works just like the company says and it is much easier to make my poached eggs in this instead of getting out the pot and little egg holders, way too many big things involved that way and more cleanup. It makes hard boiled eggs great and they do peal a lot easier. It shuts off when the water has boiled out and it plays a little ditty to let you know. It is a good idea to push the button in before you unplug it or it will start heating up as soon as you plug it back in the next time. The plate does get hot fairly quickly and if you have hard water like me, I live in the country and have a well, you need to make sure you clean it right away or it will have calcium buildup that you will have to scrub with warm water and baking soda to get off. And something else, the dome lid is a little hard to get off at first, it’s like it’s vacuumed sealed or something but if you wait 30 seconds or so it will come off easier. The accessories that come with it are made of good sturdy plastic and it’s is best to spray them with cooking spray before you use them, easier to get the eggs out and easier clean up. The cord is 32 inches long. I really like this and do recommend it :)

This little egg poacher is so much more than a poacher. The water level determines the cooking level of the egg(s), and it is on the mini measuring cup. It is quick, easy to use, easy to clean, and my eggs are always perfect! There’s even a shell popper built into the measuring cup for beautifully steamed or poached eggs. There are two optional trays for omelettes and round “fried” eggs without the mess of frying. I am ordering two more of these for my kids in college!

Hard Boiled Eggs or soft boiled? This makes the job easier. No more exploded eggs - which is what always happens to me when i boil them - and then the pot needs to be cleaned. I watched the videos and followed the directions for hard boiled eggs and ended up with six perfect hard boiled eggs. there was all yellow, no green. Yea! After ice water bath they peeled easily and I bagged them for the refrigerator. The hardest part is punching a tiny hole in each egg before cooking. Soft Boiled eggs need a little less time (therefor less water) then marked on the enclosed cup. when made as per directions I got medium eggs. That could be because I had to wait until the eggs cooled enough to handle. Ill work on timing. I would definitely recommend!! PS I used egglands Extra large eggs

I love this egg cooker. It’s so convenient and works perfectly. The timer chimes when it’s done. I knew that and it still surprised me when it’s chimed!! This is so much easier than boiling on a stove. You put the eggs and water in, put holes in the eggs as directed, top on , press button and sit back. I let them sit in there about an hour then peeled them perfectly. No cold water needed. Love this machine. Plus it’s so little and doesn’t take up much room, yet it makes up to 7 eggs.

This "DASH Rapid Egg Cooker: 6 Egg Capacity Electric Egg Cooker" is a very good egg cooker, as expected from Dash. My one complaint is a design flaw, possibly forced by patent issues? The tray has a little handle in the center that can be detached for using the poaching & omelette inserts, & to get the egg-laden tray off when they're finished cooking, you have to put your hand directly over the very hot steam plate to grab the handle. The detachable stem/handle is not very secure & can detach easily, especially when you're hurrying to get your hand (holding the egg tray) out of the steam cloud. If you don't balance the eggs by placing them on opposite sides of the tray, the hot tray tips sideways & the handle detaches, dropping the eggs in the process. This is both unnecessarily fiddly & quite dangerous. Dash, please ditch the detachable center post & place 2 little loop handles on opposite sides of the tray. Much safer & easier to use. One more thing: why the locking mechanism? The instructions say never to lock the lid when the cooker is in use, so is it just for transport to storage? Seems superfluous, & eliminating it would likely cut manufacturing costs.

First off, I am so terrible at making boiled eggs. Watching the timer on the stove top has always led to inconsistency and over or under cooked eggs. So the fact that this little cooker makes the perfect jammy eggs makes it a wonderful addition to my kitchen! I normally do not by single use appliances, but this thing is so small and compact I gave it a go and for the past month it has been amongst the best things in my cooking tool belt. It's consistent with making the same cooked level of egg each time, and I don't have to guess the water levels due to the markings on the pouring cup. The circular dish is great for breakfast sandwiches as I can make either scrambled eggs or two sunnysides into the perfect round patty. Just make sure to properly oil the dish beforehand, though it's not too difficult to get out or clean if you forget. And speaking of cleaning, it's really easy to do so. No more stuck eggs on bowls or pans. The aspect to be aware of is the shut off music. It's super cute with the music that plays, but it's very loud when standing next to it. Understandable of course as it's easy to walk away from it and just wants to make sure you're alerted to ice them down right away. Would be nice to be able to adjust the music level, but it's at least nicer than hearing an alarm style dinging/ringing. Overall, it's a very cute and easy way to get your daily protein and allows you to focus on other cooking tasks.

I just love these egg cookers. I already had one that was given as a gift. I bought this one as a gift for my son and he's really enjoying it as well. They cook the eggs quick with a lot less hassle then boiling them. I do think the shells come off easier as well. It works well and is easy to clean.

I was watching a video and someone was using a similar item and I thought how impractical it was. I noticed many positive comments about this Dash rapid egg cooker though and I guess I was influenced. I was not expecting it to exceed my expectations. It's tiny and barely takes up any space on my counter, it's a pretty shade of blue (even though my appliances are pink) and it was a fantastic price. I honestly wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do, in fact I was sure I wasn't going to find it useful, but I was so wrong. I've used it to poach eggs, hard and soft boil eggs and I have made many 2 egg omelettes. The only issue I had was that the poaching function needed a few more minutes because the whites were runny. I just added more water so it would steam longer and that worked perfectly. This little appliance is a workhorse. I haven't had any eggs sticking in the pans because I always spray with oil then wipe the excess off. This cooks eggs quickly and when they're done, it shuts off and will chimes pleasantly to let you know it's finished. I have several chronic illnesses/autoimmune disorders and some days find cooking a chore and on those days I beat 2 eggs together with chopped onion and herbs and put in 2 slices of bread in the toaster. I'll use the omelette function and by the time my toast is ready, my omelette is cooked. I just put it between the toast and have a nice toasted sandwich. It's so versatile and I'm still gobsmacked at how effectively it cooks eggs. I really thought this was going to be a waste of time and money but it's my go-to now for cooking eggs. I still use my regular pans for elaborate egg dishes, but this is perfect for a quick bite and to prepare up to 7 eggs for later use. I'm more than happy with this. This is tied with my bread maker as my favourite Amazon purchase this year! I can see this being perfect to use in dorms or in an office kitchen.
