It works but the resolution is awful. Text on web sites looks like it came from a typewriter that needs to have the ribbon changed. Doesn't help to enlarge or change it, either. Screen won't get any brighter and I find the dimness hard on my eyes. Heck of a lot of money wasted on something that is so disappointing. I've always loved Dell but this one is so low quality I'm amazed it passed inspection.

From the beginning, I thought the design was odd - when you open the laptop, the hinges "lift" the body of the laptop up. Not surprisingly, after a few months, the hinges broke, leaving the casing of the screen separated at the bottom and meaning that you can only open the laptop very carefully and need to support the back with a stack of books or the like (as the hinges no longer support the screen). The worst part, however, was Dell (lack of) Support. Despite the fact that this issue is well-known and common, they refused to help me. This is particularly annoying as this was my 4th personal Dell laptop, and I had been pleased with them in the past. No loyalty to the customer whatsoever! (Thankfully, Amazon was much better and allowed a return.)

After a few times opening and closing the unit, the hinge tension overpowers the material where the hinge is connected to the screen. The plastic material that makes up the front and back of screen case then begins to yield and separate from one another. This looks like flaw and the area near the hinges should have been reinforce with a stronger material to absorb the loads of opening and closing the unit.

I am very happy with the service from this seller. There was a note for the driver witch I thought was a good thing. And after setting up the laptop when it worked like a dream. There were instructions to help with the setting up witch I found very helpful. So all in all very pleased with my purchase. Would recommend
