I needed a stable gimbal with subject tracking to start filming social media content of my dog training business. The subject lock works great with companion app, movement is smooth, battery is actually very impressive even for longer form videos or time lapse. Not a bad weight, easy to keep stable and steady during shots filmed with one hand. Cinematic modes feel really smooth and I definitely like the dynamic zoom feature on the companion app. I’ve gotten some killer footage without any help with this tool!

Play Video I have a large gimbal for my camera and I can't stand that thing. It is difficult and I have owned it for years and still find it complicated. This, however is the opposite. Right from the box I was able to charge it quickly and get everything to work without much investigation. It is really helpful to watch the videos supplied by the tons of users on youtube. The app is a must have, so download that before even starting to use this gimbal. That app makes working with the gimbal a breeze. I just purchased a new phone and this fits from a smaller to even the largest phone. It holds my phone very tightly and the magnetic connection that holds the phone to the gimbal is very strong. There will be no worries that my phone will fall while it is hooked to this gimbal. I could have purchased a cheaper gimbal, but I wanted to get something easy to use and that had great feedback. The few extra dollars were well spent on this purchase. I see myself using this frequently when we travel and just at home with the family. Quick set up will take less than 30 seconds to be up and filming.

This gimbal is so well made, easy to handle and so fun to use. It offers so much to achieve professional looking videos. For me, as a gimbal beginner, it’s a learning curve. The app is not that helpful (to me), but YouTube beginner’s guide videos were very helpful. You won’t be disappointed with this awesome tool. I do recommend it.

This is a review of the Mobile 6 and MIMO Android app combo. They do what they do very well. Stabilization, tracking, etc... for RECORDING. For Livestream, you can't use the app, so the functions of the gimbal are more limited. It looks like DJI systems for livestrream are limited to their own cameras - not smartphones. For RECORDING, it integrates will with my Hollyland MAX wireless mics, EXCEPT there is no provision for hanging the receiver on the gimbal. I rubber-banded it to the back of the arm, carefully locating it to maintain balance. But that receiver, plus my Pixel 6 Pro (and a case) make a very heavy load for the gimbal. I can get it to work if I'm gentle, but any sudden moves take the gimbal out of lock. So yes, I'm stressing the limits of the device, maybe exceeding them, but for a two-mic system on my phone, that's what it takes. It would probably help to remove the case. This particular case is pretty hard to remove - the phone doesn't just pop right out. For LIVE STREAMING to YouTube, the gimbal still works with limited functions. The buttons to reverse the camera don't work. The various modes of the gimble don't work (just the basic pan and tilt work - no Zoom, no Focus, no Spin, etc). The audio functions that the app expand don't work, so the Hollyland MAX's two mics are mono to the phone (fine most of the time). If you have a lighter phone, no case, etc, you will probably have a more robust system. When I use mine, I have to be very careful. And the limited functions.... Especially no Zoom (the 'pinch to Zoom on t//he phone works, but touching the screen is dangerous and the Zoom is jerky and uncontrollable).... have driven me back to my old Sony video camera for most field production, unless I need the bare minimum of 'stuff' to carry.
