I bought this in January of 2024 I never had any issues with it playing but I had not used it for several months and I went to use it about a week ago. It wouldn't work. So I contacted Amazon and I received an email from the supplier. I explained to them what happened and that I had only actually used it a handful of times in the last year. I also stated I realized it wasn't very expensive and had I been using it every night or at least couple two or three times a week then I would say I got my money's worth out of it I was just disappointed that it had quit working already. They were great they said they understood and they sent me a new DVD player. I was surprised because I didn't expect that and I was very pleased and I would highly recommend dealing with them and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from them. I really appreciated the fact that a year later they stood behind their product and that's something you don't see very much anymore.

Good price and simply enough for me to use

Bought for my 90+ year old mom because it played multiple types of disc, DVD-CD-DVD/R -etc. It played about 20 minutes of the first movie we tried to watch and wouldn't play any more, couldn't even start it again. Tried a different movie and after about 10 minutes it stopped playing too. There was a QR code on screen about support and that lead to many reviews about the same problem I was having. Because it was a Christmas gift and I hadn't set it up for my mom until the time to be able to return it had expired. The ONLY good thing is it wasn't very expensive so the money I wasted on this DVD player was not a lot but what a waste of time and effort for ZERO good results.

This is a very good DVD player. It boots up a disk quickly, produces a great picture, the remote is easy to use and it comes with both RCA cables and HDMI cables. I have tinnitus and require on-screen text so I assumed since this player was for the elderly, it would be fully functional for both subtitling and CC Closed Captions. It plays subtitles, but subtitles are part of the DVD Disk menu functionality, so most all players will play subtitles. However, this player does not have a CC Closed Caption encoder and will not play DVD Disk that has CC but not subtitles - which is about 25% of my DVD collection. I contacted the seller's customer service - they were prompt in responding to my CC questions, but did not understand that subtitling and Closed Captioning are two distinctly different technologies. I really liked this player, but had to return it because of the lack of CC functionality.

So far it works beautifully.

I at first thought this was a nice little dvd player. The remote has an option to go to the next segment of the video(I have an exercise dvd that has 3 episodes on it). I only use the "Next" button occasionally. My new dvd is now scratched and I can't see the next segment of the dvd. Also, you can't stop the player and resume playing it later at the place you stopped it-it will go back to the beginning of the dvd. I would not buy this again!

It came very quickly, simple to hook up, and works great.

This was the second item of this product that I purchased and this one was defective. The company agreed and authorized me to return this item for a full refund. This first item works just fine and the picture quality is excellent. The companies service is excellent.

The remote sucked and the machine died within a few months. Much better international DVD players out there.

My wife is totally blind and uses this for books on cd and music only. No setup required for straightforward audio. I only had to attach 6 clear sticky dots to buttons to guide her. When she stops part way through a chapter it picks up where it left off which is a HUGE plus. This is the best we have ever found for her needs and I was able to connect it with her old school Rotel integrated amp directly. Most dvd players today have digital audio out only requiring the user to connect to a converter box first to get the RCA to amp connection completed. Nice to find someone filling the needs of people with older technology! I had to email a question and got a swift perfect answer from a woman that answered. I can't vouch for the video part but have no doubt that it is superb too. The spoken voice sound quality is very clear. Thanks from both of us!!!!!!!!!!
