This incredibly compact DVD unit is not only very affordable, it functions very well too The tv you see in the picture is only a 28 inch model The DVD player is approx 9 inches across. It is the perfect size for this tv! We aren’t majorly into tv or dvd viewing. We had a “nice” dvd player that pretty much filled the bottom of this tv. (This DVD player is less than 1/2 the size of the one we had.) My cousin transferred some family films onto DVDs and sent them to me. When I went to view one of them, I discovered our old DVD player no longer worked. I was already concerned that it might not play “homemade” DVDs, but it had apparently retired from playing any DVDs at all I wanted to see the DVDs my cousin had sent, but I didn’t want to spend the kind of money we had spent on our last DVD player (when it was purchased, a member of our household was a movie aficionado so he chose a very nice, expensive DVD player) I was astonished at how low of a price a DVD player is selling for (and a bit nervous about “getting what I paid for”) I need not have been concerned. This is a wonderful little machine. It came with both HDMI cables and RCA cables in the box. It took just a few moments to connect the HDMI cable to the tv and the dvd player. Once the dvd player was plugged in we were good to go The sound and picture quality are outstanding on even “homemade” DVDs. The functions on the remote are clear and very easy to understand. It even comes with a free three year warranty that you scan the included QR code with your smartphone camera to activate! (I am quite impressed by this!) I am exceptionally pleased with this purchase. It was very affordable and a quality device!

I wanted an uncomplicated DVD player that will work on smart TVs, with an HDMI output. Overall, it does this well, at a very low price. PROS: == Video and audio quality is good. == Includes a remote control that gives ability to skip items and to navigate menus. == Very important for me -- unlike so many blu-ray players, it has properly labeled manual push buttons with white on black lettering, for open, play and stop. So if you lose the remote, you still can use it. However, the manual push buttons do not include a skip button or ability to navigate menus. In the absence of the remote, It starts with whatever content it deems relevant. Sometimes starts with stuff I would like to skip. == Has no confusing "smart" features that make performance unpredictable -- Is very compact. Is stackable. Has a well designed non nonsense front panel == displays time code on front panel. == Easy to use. Includes HDMI cable. == Has HDMI output and also RCA outputs, both for composite video and component video, plus left and right audio outputs. CONS == The manual push buttons do not include a forward skip and a backward skip button. SUMMARY: Being able to function without a remote is a great plus! I would buy it again. Though having owned it only very briefly I don't how reliable it is.

Needed a DVD player with RCA jacks for my old TV to replace my 25 year old triple deck JVC player that finally died after trying to clean with a Maxell cleaning disc. This was easy to plug and play and has an HDMI port along with RCA. Although it doesn't have an S-video port, I also got an HDMI to RCA S-video adapter but it didn't need it as the standard RCA has good enough quality. The range on the remote is short so that is why the 4 instead of 5 star rating. Considering the price, a good value.

I have not searched for a CD/DVD player since dinosaurs ruled the earth. But with a new 43" TV and Onkyo receiver and speakers in my bedroom, I found myself in the market for a new one. When I started looking in Amazon, I was amazed to find that the only ones available were all these tiny little things, about half the size of a receiver. And most ranged in price from $30-$40, or about 25% of what I remember paying the last time I bought one. Initially I took a shot on the Sony DVPSR510, at $39.88. It worked but that's about it. No on screen display (my bad, I should have noticed from the Amazon page) and not even LEDs to indicate what functions it was performing. By the time I realized that this was a significant drawback, it was too late to return it (Bought Oct 30, 2024 - could not return one month and one day later). So I looked for another one, and picked the one that had the largest front panel display, the ELECTCOM PRO ELC-1910, despite the facts that it had a bunch of 1-3 star reviews that were critical of almost everything about the unit, was made in China and who every heard of ELECTCOM anyway? The ELECTCOM PRO arrived a two days ago and I used the HDMI port to plug it directly into the TV. The TV is connected via an optical fiber to my sound system. CDs played great, and since the one and only connection is digital, it's not surprising that it sounded great. Today I dug out some DVDs and tried them. They worked great too. One does have to adjust the unit to output 1080p. For some strange reason (perhaps its origin in China) the default is 720p, which makes the image look horrible. Many of the reviews complained that it was difficult to set up and use. I do not understand that at all. It is neither. The ones that really worried me were the ones that said it either skipped, or wouldn't load CDs or DVDs, but I haven't found that to be the case. DVD played perfectly from the get go, no skipping or loading problems and the sound was (duh) just like the CDs I played. Full disclosure: I had one "homemade" DVD that I got from my son's school about 10 years ago that the player didn't like very much. So this is a great deal for $39.88. But when I looked a moment ago to check on the model to write this review, I saw that the price has decreased $11.19 a few days after I bought it so it now costs $28.79. I am certain that at that price (or even at $39.88) it can't be beat. Highly recommended. JM Tepper

We ordered this Electcom Pro 2.0 HDMI DVD Player because it said easy to install, set up and operate. It is indeed all of those, it works most excellently, plays all region DVD's and CD's as well. Registering for the 3 year warranty was easy and quick as well. Very good value for the price and great Seller support. Highly recommended! I will definitely buy from this Seller again!

Funciona fácil, tem bom pause e responde rápido a todos os toques. Só não tem o visor em tempo contado em horas o que facilitaria saber onde estamos e o quanto falta. Recomendo

Como seguramente tanta gente, tengo un cúmulo de DVD's de aquellos tipo región I a la IV que no tenía en que verlas. Así que esta pieza está siendo muy útil para entretenimiento, especialmente cuando tienes que sortear tanta basura que tiene Netflix. El artículo requiere poco espacio, fácil de instalar, instrucciones sencillas, y buen precio.

Ich nutze diesen DVD-Player allerdings nur als CD-Player, aber diese Funktion macht er hervorragend. Da mein CD-Player nach 20 Jahren das zeitliche gesegnet hat, suchte ich nach einem günstigen CD-Player, den es aber offensichtlich nicht gab, deshalb entschied ich mich auf dieses Gerät auszuweichen und wurde nicht enttäuscht

Encontrar un lector de dvd que te lea todo tipo de dvd (original y copia) no es fácil, y este DVD lo consiguió, a un precio excelente y tamaño reducido, puedo reproducir DVD grabados por mi desde que mis hijos eran pequeños, y se ve de maravilla.... El streaming se comió al dvd, pero con este DVD vuelve a la carga, y cuentos de discos de películas y series ya los puedo ver....
