For office applications, this UHD monitor performs well. If value is important to you, you likely won't be disappointed. tl;dr When the work you do daily requires a full-time commitment to being in front of a screen to do your job, then the characteristics of that screen can have a substantial impact on your productivity, health, etc. Having used a "standard" HD monitor for quite some time at work, I was starting to find it to be too constraining and difficult to work on. I felt it was time for an upgrade to a UHD/4k monitor. After some research, I settled upon this model, as it scored well on use in an office environment (according to rtings.com), it had consistently high reviews, and it was priced attractively here on Amazon. It also included speakers and a versatile stand, which were nice additional perks that I thought could come in handy. I took the plunge and have not been disappointed. This monitor has met or exceeded all of my expectations for office applications. The picture is clear. I have ample ability to control brightness, contrast, etc. And the refresh rate remains at 60Hz as long as the attached device can support it. The stand allows for all the control that I could ask for in positioning the display, but I've since attached it to a desk-mounted monitor arm which I also really like. I should also mention that having 2 input channels has been very convenient, as it has allowed me to use it as a shared display between different computers. In a pinch, I've even used the speakers on a few occasions; they're not very good, but then again I don't expect them to be. Also, I have used it once as a monitor for a video game console, and I was quite pleased with it. Again, the audio was sub-par, but the picture (including refresh rate) was excellent. For the value, I've been really pleased with this monitor so far. Since I use it primarily for office applications, I can definitely recommend it for that. And as a general-purpose display, it seems to perform well and should not disappoint much. But if you want something that will perform optimally for gaming (especially with high refresh rates), then you will probably not be considering this to begin with. Also, if you want something that has great built-in speakers, I recommend using a TV instead.

I have two Dell 27 inch monitors. This one was my second purchase. It's easy to set up. It has a sturdy build. Excellent connectivity and the additional USB ports and sound port make it a perfect addition to my desktop. Color is accurate, picture quality is bright and clear. Use both dell monitors on a Mini-PC primarily as a photo editing platform, but the 4k allows me to work with high quality video as well. I have no complaints. I would buy this again if I needed to.

I use this monitor at home hooked up to a work issued laptop. This means, I'm not watching hours of YouTube or playing games on it, just doing document work on it 98% of the time, so I can't address how gamers would feel with this monitor, but for document work it's just fine. Video also looks good on this monitor. I have older LCD monitors, and upgrading to 4K for document work does make a difference. Less eye strain over long work periods, text always looks clear and crisp. I got this 4K monitor because of the reasonable price point, about $200 and because it's a Dell, known for reliability.

Like: nice and bright, good set of features like the USB hub, built-in speakers, high resolution and smooth 100Hz. Mostly good for our use case. Not like: colors are not that accurate, I would not recommend for professional photo editing/content creation/graphic design. Also, the colors look a bit muted. I cannot find any gamma setting, it is lower than I would like. Does not support 165Hz for smooth gaming. Speakers are tiny sounding, but not loud or clear enough in a loud environment.

This monitor is superb; more than a bargain at the price I paid for it ($243.79, including shipping). The default setting of 75 for brightness is extremely powerful; I turned it down to 50 and it's still quite bright. The resolution is incredibly sharp and colors are true and accurate. The anti-glare coating is very effective. It's hard to find a flaw here, but if I were to mention one, this monitor does NOT support USB-C / Thunderbolt. Your connectivity is limited to HDMI and DisplayPort.

I’ve been a web, graphic designer and photographer since 1998. Last year I bought five different monitors all $200 more than this one and they all failed my tests. They were all returned. This monitor blew them out of the water. It is exceptional. Especially at this price point. I will be buying another soon. Dell has done an amazing job with his monitor. I am never super excited about anything, but I this monitor got me excited again! Well done!

One, this is a BEAST of a monitor. It’s huge and honestly, I’m not complaining. Performance wise it performs well with gaming, office work & general viewing. Two, the size of it makes it look like you’re working in a theatre. There is plenty of work room for you to have 4 small windows open at the same time to better work flow for working or going to class at home. Three, graphics wise, it could be better but the picture options compensates well. Again I did buy a monster of a screen already & with the freesync I’m not complaining with the great productivity performance. Additionally the speakers does well enough. I did find that it’s a bit quieter when I’m on teams meetings during the day or generally viewing Netflix/youtube. Fourth, my gaming experience has no complaints. I didn’t find any flicker or delay. My PS4 pro is connected via HDMI 2.1 and damn, it does deliver. The wide screen ratio makes my gaming worlds so much more immersive and I’m spoiled! Yes there is a gaming version of this monitor so I might look into splurging into that as a second monitor & connect a sound bar for that theatre gaming experience. Lastly, I’m extremely pleased of this product. I have to say Dell set the bar well for an entry level monitor for your general use in home or office. As I mentioned, I’m thinking on buying another one for that double monitor action for the best workflow while working at home and the best gaming experience I’ve had so far. Finally, just get one. Yes it has quirks and such, but keep in mind this is just the beginning. Upgrade and research the next monitor for you while enjoying the spoils of what is here. Thank you Dell.
