Pretty good value for my needs. It has been on my list, but then found it on sale. Nice unit, stainless steel, solid plastic case, instructions. I like the ability to measure once and read out in metric mm/inch/fractional inch. Even comes with extra batteries. Pretty handy as many projects are printed in mm, while domestic wood is still in inches and/or fractions. If $40 or $50 prices are in the way, try this one out.

This review is for the 6" or 150mm size of these calipers. I would recommend this digital caliper if you need to measure inside, outside or depth up to 150mm. 1. It comes on when you move it and does not seem to need to be zeroed. 2. It comes with batteries in it and extras. I only use it occasionally, mostly to measure items I want to engrave so that I can accurately size traces or tool path limits. 3. It is accurate to my ability to verify. I have some metric steel rulers that seem very accurate. When I extend the caliper to 150mm and compare it to the steel rule, it is right on the ruled mark. 4. It handles well. The thumb roller that allows you to make fine adjustments handles well, as does the twist locks. Like most digital devices, you can set the caliper at a distance, zero it there, measure something else and it will give you a difference, in case you never learned to subtract. This requires that you close the calipers and zero them to be sure of accuracy. The fractional inch mode is of little use. It reads the fractions in 128ths, and cannot be instructed to round to, say, 32nds. I have little intuitive feel for, for example, what 57/128ths" is, except it is more than a quarter, less than a half. 11.78 mm or 0.448": either of those will give me a better feel for the measurement. Since 63/128" is close to 1/2" and it never seems that you hit that easy fraction when you measure, in my experience I'm going to find that the fractional inch mode is just confusing. It is just an extra button push to skip it. Compared to the quality/cost ratio, the fact that they do all the other stuff they say, well, these are still a 5 star buy for me. The only thing I might go for is bigger numbers or a connected app. The cheap blown plastic case has been snapped open and closed 100 times ans shows no sign of failure. There is no extra room in the case.

Construction is very impressive for such an inexpensive piece. Non-functional edges were a little sharp, but was easily remedied with some gentle filing for a couple of minutes. Accuracy claims to be +-.02mm, but it's more like +-.05 in practice. Still, it's plenty accurate for what it is.

These digital calipers have been an absolute game-changer in my workshop! I used to struggle with the tiny graduations on my old manual calipers, constantly second-guessing my measurements. These digital calipers have taken all the guesswork out of the equation. The large, clear LCD screen displays measurements in easy-to-read numbers, down to the thousandth of an inch (or metric equivalent, if you prefer!). This level of precision is fantastic for everything from woodworking and metalworking to electronics projects! What I really appreciate is how simple they are to use. The buttons are intuitive, and the calipers themselves feel comfortable and well-balanced in my hand. The smooth sliding action makes it easy to get accurate readings, and the hold function is super handy for freezing a measurement when you're working in tight spaces. I also love the ability to quickly switch between inches and millimeters, saving me time and frustration. The build quality seems excellent. They feel sturdy and durable, like they can withstand the bumps and knocks of regular use. I've had them for some time now, and they're still performing flawlessly. For anyone who needs accurate and easy-to-read measurements, I highly recommend these digital calipers. They've definitely earned a permanent place in my toolbox!

I bought these to be abused around the house as needed and for some 3d printing. These are the best cheap calipers I have found. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME and MONEY ON PLASTIC ONES. THEY SUCK! BUY THESE!! The fractions measurement on it is actually very nice! Measures to the closest 1/128”. They come with TWO SPARE batteries and one already installed. They measure to the 5 ten thousandths but I definitely wouldn’t trust that. I compared them with my very expensive mitutoyo calipers that I use for work and they were within 1 thou or so for the measurements I did and was repeatable. They are nice and heavy and seem sturdy. And for the slightly more price over plastic. WELLLL WORTH IT. They are fairly smooth, will oil up and get them nice and smooth but have been a great addition to my tools at home!

I'm very impressed with the quality of this caliper, especially for the price. It's all steel, not plastic. And I compared its accuracy against my micrometer set and it is spot on. Comes with a storage case, 2 extra batteries and a small screwdriver you can use to open the battery compartment with. At this price point I wasn't expecting this level of quality. If you're looking to buy a digital caliper, this is the one you want

I have received this item 2 months ago. since I received it I never opened it and today I wanted to use it for the first time to measure an O-ring. I opened the box and Unfortunately the small digital display was broken also the item is look like been used before. Because it is a long time since of purchased this item so I couldn't return it for refund too. Disgraceful

This is my first proper digital caliper, it felt solid in the hand as most steel do, it slides smoothly, it measures a accurately, these are the good parts. But is the maker expecting us to always wear a protective glove in order to use it? Cause if you don't, you'll get cuts and scratches by the sharp edges everywhere! I'm not talking about the pointy measuring corners, but all other edges, only the long slider parts are sand smoothly. I had to spent minutes to use sandpaper to protect myself. This show that a product may be good at performing its task, the user experience is what make it used frequently or just thrash one side. Also, the rolling wheel is so loose it sound like a bell when carrying around, no backlight. I do not recommend buying this, get something from brand name that treasure their reputation instead of some unknown that change its name when the rating gets bad.

Not perfect but well worth the price for light/amateur use. As with most digital calipers, the problem is getting it to return to "000" when closed every time. I often have to re-zero when I close the jaws. This is not a reason to avoid buying - just something to be aware of. I've owned the hugely expensive Mitutuyo equivalent and even this had the same problem after some time. The battery cover secured with two M2 screws (not self tappers) instead of the flimsy sliding plastic lid on other models is a nice touch.
