I got this Dr. Brown’s Milestone Straw to 360° Cup Set for times when our grandchild visits. The set comes with two base cups that are identical except for color. The base cups are 11.5cm (~4-1/2”) tall and are just slightly tapered in diameter with the bottom being 6.3cm (~2-1/2”) wide growing to 7.3cm (2-7/8”) at the top. There are two different style lids provided and they are interchangeable with the base cups. The lids provide a way to transition children from drinking out of a baby bottle with a nipple to drinking out of a glass. The straw lid is like a combination of a nipple and a straw. The part that sticks up for the child to drink from looks and acts like a very soft silicone baby bottle nipple, but under it, inside the cup, is a straw attachment. The nipple has small slits in it that are closed at rest, preventing most spills. When the child sucks or bites the nipple, the slits open and allow liquid to flow. This mimics the way the child has been using their baby bottle previously. However, because there is a straw feeding from the bottom of the cup, it must be held somewhat upright when used so that the liquid is at the bottom of the cup and can be withdrawn by the end of the straw. The need to be upright makes it different than most non-collapsable baby bottles. This lid has no handles and can be disassembled into three components for cleaning. It might be advisable to have a cleaning brush to reach inside the nipple part. With this lid screwed on one of the cups, the complete assembly is 15cm (~5-7/8”) tall. The 360° lid is a nice concept. It has a round rim on the top like a normal glass might, but inside this rim is a rubber seal that presses against the edge, preventing most spills. When the child wants a drink, they must tip the cup up like an older child might do, but even then the liquid will not come out due to the seal. To get the liquid out, the child must suck on the rim. The suction pulls the rubber seal away from the lid’s rim, allowing liquid to flow. As soon as the child stops sucking, the liquid stops flowing. The action mimics how the child will eventually learn to drink from a glass while also preventing them from spilling the drink down the front of their clothing. This lid has two hook style handles and can be disassembled into two separate parts for cleaning. With this lid screwed on one of the cups, the complete assembly is 13.3cm (~5-1/4”) tall.

These cups are high quality, versatile, and perfect for toddlers learning to drink independently. The interchangeable lids allow switching between a 360° cup and a straw, making it a great transition cup. The handles are easy to grip, and the materials feel durable and BPA-free. No major leaks, easy to clean, and a great size for little hands. Highly recommend!

This isn't the first time that I order products from Dr. Browns, and I always get surprised by the high quality of their products. These cups are 100% leak free, we took the straw cup on a long trip, it was easy to toss in the bag, fill and clean during our trip. The training cup is amazing, no spilling, no leaking and super easy to use by our toddler who enjoys drinking her water now. The material is high quality and the design is super nice. Easy to clean, fill and hold. I highly recommend these cups!

These are such a great tool as we teach my grandbaby to drink from a cup instead of a bottle. The lids can be mixed and matched to each cup, so you can swap them out as needed. The straw is soft silicon with a but of structure, so it’s not completely floppy, but still soft for baby’s lips and teeth. They 360 lid is a cool “technology” if you can call it that. It allows the baby to hold and lift the cup like a standard cup, without dousing themselves in whatever is in the cup. No worries about leaking all over the house or car! Perfect size for little hands to hold! The handles are a great touch for those just beginning to learn how to grip. They’re easy to clean, I put them in the baby bottle sanitizer and they’re fine. They’re sturdy and works well great. The grandbaby loves using these cuppies!

I bought this item for a one and a half year old that likes to turn her cups with straws upside down and watch it pour out. This cup does not allow the water to pour out quickly but if shook it will allow some to come out of the straw. These cups hold a lot of liquid and help with the spills and messes. My toddler has not used the 360 design top because she drinks out of a small open cup and I don’t want her to get confused on how to turn the cup up to drink but I tried it out and there is no leaks and it takes a lot of sipping to get the water out. She used the straw lid which comes apart for cleaning and is easy for her to use.

In general, I'm always impressed with the design considerations of doc Brown's products. This one is no exception. These cups are nice with the convertible handles, they're a great size for enough hydration for a toddler, and I appreciate that I can wash them in the dishwasher. They work great as cups, and a straw is soft and flexible which is always something I'm concerned about with a rambunctious little one holding it. I appreciate that they're already reasonable price point as well. BPA free is a must for my family, and I'm glad that the manufacturers have chosen to use BPA free plastic for these cups.

Having two little granddaughters, ages one and three, we have went through so many different brands and different styles of sippy cups over the past few years - and these are a new favorite. I can confirm: these cups only spill out liquid when our little one slams it down really hard, they actually work surprisingly-well, and IF any liquid does come out, it’s not a lot at all. Fabulously-designed, easy-to-clean, worth every penny.
