I have tried just about every litter on the market of the "clumping" variety. I moved a year and a half ago from a home where I had lived with two cats for years. While helping me pack this huge house which was filled with way too much "stuff," my daughter and her husband both commented on all the dust on everything, especially everything close to the above-ground basement where the two litter boxes were placed. Both of them said the dust made them cough, and once I started paying attention, I realized that I was coughing myself every time I cleaned the litter boxes, and the coughing got worse from disturbing the dust going through and sorting and packing. Once I was in the house I rented, I tried two or three different clumping litters, but all of them had the same heavy perfume odor and there was dust from it everywhere, and about half an inch of dust in the bottom of the litter box at all times, so there is no wonder it was getting everywhere with the help of the cats digging and the stuff flying everywhere. Not only that, but the cats sometimes had "damp" paws, the dust would stick to the paws, and they were tracking cement-like trails across the laminate flooring - and the carpeting as well, though at least I could not SEE that! Then I bought a house and spent four months remodeling it. Once again, during the process of packing, we could all see the cat litter dust everywhere and smell that heavy perfume they use to mask odor. I decided that before I moved into my home with brand new everything, including floor tile, carpeting, blinds, etc., I was going to do some research and try to find a less irritating and dusty litter. My reasoning was that if it was making people cough, it could not be good for my cats to breathe it, either. and I had had more than enough of the dust and the "wet cement" paw marks! I decided to give Precious Cat a try, and this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am just sorry it took me so long to take the time and do the research. I have been using Precious Cat since the end of February. There is no perfume odor whatsoever, there is absolutely NO dust at all, the litter clumps as hard as a rock and never comes to pieces while being scooped, and for some reason, I seem to be adding litter to the boxes less frequently. I have not quite figured out the reason for this yet! Yes - it is pricey, but it is worth the price to me to get rid of that constant cloying smell and the dust everywhere all the time. At least Amazon has it now PRIME, which is a huge benefit, because I looked at Petco on-line and thought I had found a real deal. Wow! Forty pounds for $15.99! Then I got to checkout and the shipping was over $16.00! So back I came to blessed Amazon.com, and this is where I will purchase my Precious Cat Litter from now on. I will pay the higher price for such a high-quality litter, especially since I am using less of it than any other litter I have used in the past. Thanks for carrying Precious Cat, Amazon - and thanks for having it available PRIME, too. By the way, anyone who says the "pee balls" stick to the bottom of the box, try this: I lift one end of the box and drop it about 2 inches back to the floor, then tilt it away from me and repeat the process. This completely loosens the clumps and they are easy to scoop. I do this because I am 74 and the less time I spend being down on my knees cleaning litter boxes, the better off I am! I DID replace my litter boxes, because the ones I had were made of some weird kind of plastic that the clumps DID stick to. Remembering a Maine Coon cat breeder with a LOT of cats and kittens who used plastic tote bins without the lids, I bought two Rubbermaid Roughneck bins with 8" sides, tossed out the lids that came with them, and they are in use now as litter boxes and work great. The higher sides keep the litter from being thrown out with fastidious kitties getting carried away in the covering up process and flinging the litter about, and because one of my cats is a 17-pound Maine Coon female, she is VERY happy not to have to cram her big furry self, including her gorgeous long plume of a tail, into even the largest covered litter box I could find. We are ALL much happier with Precious Cat and new open-top litter boxes! And I must be honest - my first purchase of Precious Cat was NOT from Amazon, because at the time it was not PRIME and I got it cheaper elsewhere. Happily, this is not the case any longer.

So, I know that being excited about cat litter is a little weird, but this stuff is really amazing. I had never even heard of this brand before, but Amazon sent me a recommendation and I took a look at the reviews. People seemed to like it and the price was right, so I decided to give it a try. I have 3 cats, 3 litter boxes and had been using Arm and Hammer Multi-Cat for, well, forever (Dr. Elsey's and Arm and Hammer are almost exactly the same price for the 40 pound package). I had gone through severals brands when I got my first cats 3 years ago and this was the best I could find at this price point. "Best" isn't saying all that much, however. This litter clumped, but would fall apart while I was scooping it, making it impossible to keep the litter clean. It would smell pretty quickly and was just... good enough, but I wasn't very happy with it. When I got the 40 pound bag of Dr. Elsey's, I dumped 2 of my litter boxes and refilled with the new litter. I used the last of my Arm and Hammer on the 3rd box as a control. Again, I have 3 cats and the big box upstairs is the one they all prefer to use, and one of the two that I used Dr. Elsey's in. I wanted to see how long it would take to smell, so I did not clean the two upstairs litter boxes for ***3*** days (these are right at the top of the stairs and if the boxes are dirty, you are nose level while walking up and it will punch you in the face if they need cleaned/changed). I repeat, I did not scoop these boxes for THREE days. I still could not smell them. I couldn't let them go any longer because I felt bad leaving dirty boxes for the cats (for the record, I had to clean the downstairs box on the second day because the Arm and Hammer was stinky). When I went to scoop the new litter I was SO impressed with the way it clumped. The pee clumps were ROCKS and they did not break apart at all while I was scooping. I even tried to break a clump with the scooper and couldn't break it without considerable force. I am never going to buy the old stuff I was using again. Now, as far as the low dust/low tracking, I can't say too much there. I used almost the entire 40 pound bag on the two boxes, so I was pouring A LOT at once, but there was quite a bit of dust. I also have not noticed mush difference with the tracking, but the lousy clumping and poor odor control was my biggest complaint with my old litter, so I am a happy, happy girl.

I’ve been using Dr. Elsey's Cat Litter with my Litter Robot, and it’s become my go-to litter. It works perfectly with the automatic system, clumping quickly and effectively without leaving a ton of clay residue on the robot itself. This makes cleaning and maintenance so much easier. Leaving 4 stars only because it does leave a little clay residue. I’ve tried the Litter Robot brand litter before, but I believe this one is far superior. Not only does it produce noticeably less dust, but I’ve also found that my cats track significantly less litter out of the box compared to the other brand. This has been a big plus in keeping my floors cleaner! And its much cheaper!!! Overall, I highly recommend this litter for anyone using a Litter Robot or looking for a premium option that offers great clumping, low dust, and excellent odor control.

As a devoted cat owner, finding the perfect litter for my feline friend is always a top priority. That's why I turned to Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Cat Litter, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer. First off, let's talk clumping power. This stuff is no joke. As soon as my cat does her business, it forms tight clumps that make scooping a breeze. It's like magic! Plus, it means I'm not wasting litter and can make the bag last longer, which is a win-win in my book. Now, onto the smell. I have the litter boxes in my bedroom, so odor control is non-negotiable. Thankfully, Dr. Elsey's Ultra Cat Litter has got it covered. It traps odors like nobody's business, keeping my home smelling fresh and clean, even with a litter box in the corner. And can we talk about the dust situation? With other litters, I felt like I needed a hazmat suit every time I cleaned the box. But not with this one. It's virtually dust-free, which gives me peace of mind knowing my cat and I aren't breathing in anything harmful. All in all, Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Cat Litter has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's reliable, effective, and makes caring for my cat a whole lot easier. If you're a fellow cat owner on the hunt for the perfect litter, do yourself a favor and give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

We have two cats and have always been satisfied with this litter because it's unscented, the price is usually very reasonable, in our opinion, it seals litter clumps really well, and it is dust-free, as much as I can tell. When I buy this litter in the city 45 minutes away from my place, it comes in a bag that, for this price, is at least twice as big. So, the litter is excellent compared to other options we tried over the years, but the tiny bag for this price feels a bit odd to me. I ordered it in a state of emergency when I couldn't go to the city, and I was a bit desperate, but of course, I felt bad for purchasing such little amount for the same money that it would take me to buy two months' worth of litter at the pet store (same brand and litter type.) Yes to the litter, discombobulated facial expression to this particular amount of litter/price.

Dr. Elsey’s Ultra Cat Litter is hands down the best litter I’ve ever used for my cats. The 8.16 kg bag is not only great value but also lasts a long time due to its incredible efficiency. Here’s why I love it: • Excellent Clumping: The clumping ability is outstanding. It forms solid clumps that are easy to scoop, leaving the rest of the litter clean and fresh. • Low Dust: Unlike other litters, it truly lives up to its “low dust” claim. No more clouds of dust when pouring or scooping, which is better for my cats and me. • Superior Odor Control: It neutralizes odors exceptionally well. Even with multiple cats, my home stays fresh and odor-free. • Cat-Approved Texture: My cats took to it immediately. They seem comfortable using it, which makes the transition effortless. Overall, this litter has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s worth every penny for the quality and peace of mind it provides. Highly recommended for any cat owner looking for a hassle-free, high-performance cat litter!

I was really impressed with how dust-free this cat litter was—it exceeded my expectations in that regard! There were no dust clouds when pouring or scooping, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other litters I’ve used. However, I encountered a big issue with urine sticking to the bottom of my stainless steel litter box. For some reason, it would harden and stick, making it difficult to clean. It also caused a lingering odor in my cat’s toilet area, despite regular scooping. I had to use a knife to scrape the hardened litter off the bottom during cleaning, which was quite frustrating. After switching to another brand, this issue completely disappeared, so I don’t think it was related to the box itself. Overall, while the dust-free feature is great, the sticking issue was a dealbreaker for me.
