This works great with or without the app. Cool mist is super quiet and awesome for nighttime so it doesn't keep me awake while warm mist is much more effective at increasing humidity at the expense of some noise. Even at 6 liters, on a super dry day (10-15% relative where I live) the tank empties really quickly and filling might become a daily thing. I don't really think cleaning is that tough like others complain. The parts come apart easily and seem to be built well. You definitely need to use distilled water though, tap water leaves dust immediately and quite a bit of it. I also tried the tray for the essential oils and it certainly works. I wouldn't consider this a replacement for a dedicated diffuser but I don't have any delusions about the 'medicinal' properties, I just it to smell nice. And for that, it works great. If you aren't going to use this in a bedroom where you want to have schedules for noise stuff and the like, I wouldn't bother paying the extra for the smart version. Just get the regular one and set it to automatically hold whatever you want.

This is a fantastic humidifier! It has a large tank with an easy to use handle. The wifi and app are really well done. You can schedule every type of setting needed. Also, you can turn all of the lights off at night which is really handy for a bedroom. While changing the filter one day, the valve that holds the water back broke. Luckily it was empty when this happened. I reached out to customer service and received a phenomenal response from Carol. When you spend this much on a humidifier, it's good to know that they have support that will send you a 30 cent part when it breaks. Dreo has a lifetime customer in me!

Very quiet auto turns on and off to what humidity percentage you set. cool mist or warm steam. What else more can you ask from the humidifier? Picture shows a steam cloud as I open the door. You can see steam come out of the 600 square-foot studio that I use it in northern AZ where it is very dry. Also ALL lights OFF mode or a cool blue color. I never thought a humidifier could be this good. It is like there is a hot shower in the room when you set it to 100%. If you find a better humidifier than this, I’d be very surprised. very well built.

I am really pleased to have this as the air in our bedroom is so dry it was causing me to get nosebleeds at night. Using this they have now stopped. The downside is I'm having to buy distilled water to use it. LA tap water is not clean enough, even run through a Brita filter. I ran it for 24 hours like this and it ended up covered in chalky powder (see photo). I have an air quality sensor, which usually tells me the air quantity is around 5. Running the humidifier it passed 600! The highest number I've ever seen, because of all the chalky calcium in the air. Using distilled water the air quality stays at 5 and I have no problems at all. It just ups the running costs quite a bit and isn't very convenient. I haven't tried the filters for this yet, I'm not convinced they would work as well as distilled water, or be any cheaper in the long term. I love that it works with Google Home, it's very convenient to be able to ask it to stop and start from bed. I can also change the humidity levels. It's beautifully quiet. The tank is huge. It lasts me 2 and a bit nights if I don't have it running all day as well, keeping the humidity level at 60%. It doesn't do anything for the adjacent rooms if the door is left open, so I imagine you would need one for each room if that's your goal.

In some ways, this is a review I would prefer not to write. The unit is attractive, works extremely well, is quiet and accurate, the app is clear and easy to use. In short, a really nice unit. The problem with this and all of its type is that it requires de-mineralized water based upon my observations. I bought the unit with the extra de-mineralization cartridges, but they don't cut it. The first clue to this was that my hepa filter went into overdrive. I thought this might be some side effect unrelated to particulate matter. But my PM2.5 meter was off the chart as well. Normally it is close to zero. The water in our are has a TDS of 150, so not particularly high. It varies throughout the year as different water supply sources are used. To try to confirm that the problem was accurately defined, I captured some of the mist to see if I could get a TDS reading out of it. That turned out to be slow going and I never got that far. In the process some of the drops spilled out onto the cover of the machine. By the next day, there were clear signs of deposits around each and every one of those fairly small drops. If one does have a need to increase humidity in the house, consideration needs to be given to supplying it with water at extra cost. A gallon a day was the typical usage in my case. One approach might be to couple it with an under-the-sink type of reverse osmosis system ($250 or so). This needs to be of the type that removes all solids, not the type that adds them back in for flavor. Then you need to add in the cost of replacement cartridges. Other than that elephant in the room, the unit works really well, hence I still give it 5 stars.

Surprisingly good Android App for this unit and it works very well so far. We've been running it on the main floor to cover for the removal of the humidifier on our central heating. It has raised the main floor humidity from 24% to 32% and that's with me forgetting to refill it for several hours at a time when it runs out of water. It does automatically shut off and send an alert when that happens which is great. It also sends a reminder to complete a cleaning every 100 hours. Just got my first reminder for that but have not completed that process yet. Overall, this seems to be a good value purchase.

Due criticità anche se ul prodotto è molto ben fatto e funzionale. 1a se si inserisce aria calda consuma tantissimo. 2a si sente molto poco aroma messo nel cassettino apposito. Per il resto veramente intuitivo e molto pratico, ci vogliono pochi minuti per avviarlo. App molto bella.
