My experience with the purchase of the Ecoflow Delta Mini started out being frustrating, but ultimately the unit met my expectations fully. My desire for a portable power station was for a backup power solution in the event of emergencies. I wanted a unit that would be able to recharge our devices as well as small appliances for a substantial period without access to home electrical power. Another requirement was the ability to recharge the battery unit from a solar panel in case the power did not come back in a reasonable period of time. After some research, I settled on the Ecoflow brand and the Delta Mini as the model that could suit my basic needs while remaining within my budget. I initially purchased the Ecoflow Delta Mini listed at $799 with a $50 discount coupon upon checkout. I also purchased an Ecoflow 160 watt solar panel to accompany the battery unit for $349. I was pleased to receive both items within a few days of the order. Unfortunately, the Delta Mini I received did not work properly. The unit would charge up when plugged in and I could charge devices from it, but the power button (on/off) did not work. After shutting down from inactivity, the unit would only become active again if plugged back into the wall. Not good if you need to use the device but have no access to a working power plug. I called Ecoflow and after a short evaluation by the operator and an email, they agreed that the unit was defective and arranged for a shipping label for return and eventually replacement. Unfortunately, the process to receive a new unit would take several weeks. To avoid such a long wait, I sent the defective unit back and ordered a second unit from Amazon. The new unit arrived a couple of days later. Not long after, my defective unit got back to the factory and I was issued a full refund. Minor frustration, but the company made it right. As for the Ecoflow Delta Mini, it works as expected and very well at that. I tested it with the devices that I planned to power it with and found that it charged up multiple devices via the USB outlets at the expected rates. Even fast charging those phones via the one USB that has that capability. The unit also powered small appliances (albeit with significant drain of the battery). I tested a 1500 watt electric kettle with 1.7 liters of water, and was able to get a full boil in 6 minutes with about 16-18% batter drain at each attempt. The same test with 1.7 liters of water on a single burner 1200 watt hot plate took 13 minutes to a full boil and drained 36% of the battery. A test of keeping a 7 cu. foot freezer alive overnight (12 hours) gave me a 60% drain of the battery. All in all, interesting results. It meets my needs, but be aware that if you hope to power more appliances for a longer period of time you will need one of the bigger and more expensive units. As for recharging, the Delta Mini charged up very quickly from the wall plug. It only takes an hour or so to top up from the 50-60% area to full. When it’s really low (below 30%) you might need up to two hours to get a full charge. I was impressed with the solar panel. It was listed at 160 watts, and with full sunlight it gave exactly that. As the clouds passed by it dipped a bit (103, 137, etc.) but as long as the sun was strong it was plugging right along. However whenever the clouds blocked the sun, the output dropped all the way down. Sometimes in the 24-77 watt range, but often at zero. Keep that in mind, as the weather of the day will affect how much re-charge you will get. My test day had strong sun, but with periods that the clouds passed over and blocked it completely. All told, in that session it took me 1 hour to gain a 10% charge on the battery. If you are going to rely on the sun to get your battery from 0 to 100, expect it to take all day if it gets there at all. Perhaps a second (expensive) panel might make that more realistic. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase as well as the response by customer service to my issues.

This isn't a review about the shipping (because I would give that 2 stars for the lack of communication and the month-long delay). Once I got the inverter and the battery, installation took about 20mins and everything was up and running. The app gives you plenty of information, including your current input and output, and it shows you historical data. I have this unit powering my solar shed with 1900w of solar and it easily runs my computers, TV, lights, and an EG4 Mini Split 12k BTU. I connected my subpanel to the unit using the 30amp outlet. The unit comes with everything you need to get started. I decided on this unit over a DIY solution (EG4, etc) because of how clean and easy the wiring/setup was and for the safety. Also, since I work out of the shed, I didn't want a loud inverter running in the background. This unit is very quiet and I don't think I've ever heard the fan kick in.

Play Video Ecoflow Delta Mini is my second Ecoflow power station. My first one is Ecoflow River Pro that I got from Costco during sales event. It runs great when I take it out for day trip, but I needed a more powerful battery station that I can fully run full-size fridge and other electronics when power is out. This is why I bought the Delta Mini which has a 1400W AC output that can handle most of the major electronics in the house. Out the box I decided to run a quick calibration of the power station because I could not get a 100% full charge reading from the read-out panel after battery stopped charging. I charged up the power station and then drained the battery down to 0% and charge it back up. That did the trick of recalibrating the power station and it showed 100% charge at the end. Then I paired up Delta mini with the app and ran an update on the firmware. Everything went well without any issue. I ran a test with Whirlpool full size refrigerator. It was pulling 150~600W effortlessly. I figured I can get about 8-12 hours from a fully charged Delta mini since fridge does not run all the time. Next, I used the power station to run a rice cooker. The rice cooker was pulling 8-900W and drained the battery really fast, this also caused the cooling fan to kick in high gear to dissipate the heat that was creating. I decided to plug in the AC cable to start charging the battery station before it drained out. Interestingly, I set the AC wall input limit at 200W from the phone app, but the station decided to charge at 1100-1200W to be ahead of what rice cooker is pulling. At the end, I have more power than I first started. Ecoflow Delta mini and River Pro power station is now taking turn to be used during the weekend when the family goes out. The power station is used to power my 30L portable fridge and other small electronics. The power stations will be down about 20% after running the portable fridge at 3C degrees for 8-9 hours by using the DC port. After several weeks of running the battery station, I am very impressed with Delta mini, and my friends are showing interests to gat one too. At the moment Amazon has a $50 coupon for Delta Mini, which will bring the final price cheaper than when I made the purchase. 5-star for Ecoflow Delta Mini.

I recently purchased the Delta Pro Ultra (DPU) and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance and versatility. I had already a Delta Max and a Delta 2, and they have been rock solid, but I moved recently in a new home where water come from a deep well. We had a few power failures which made us a bit wary about having water available for a long time, and while I have a large 9500w Westinghouse gas generator, its not easy and convenient to setup, especially for my partner. Because this house had already a secondary panel with a Generator plug, setup was a breeze. I simply bought a L14-30 extension to connect the DPU to the generator outlet, and that it! The DPU is connected all the time, and in case of power failure my partner only need to flip the interlock! We had to use it a few time already, and it was a breeze! An unexpected bonus; I can charge the DPU from the side Input/Output port at 240v while still having all my AC output on. There has been some conflicting reviews stating it was not possible, but the confusion come from the fact that the C10 outlet use for 120v can actually support 240v as well. Note that you need to buy the Generator Adaptor for the DPU to be able to do this. I have done this multiple time already, and Ecoflow support confirmed this is support as well. I also appreciate the clean layout of ports, with a pair of backup UPS port (20ms), and another pair with Online UPS function (0ms). Unfortunately, the 240v outlet is designed as backup UPS (20ms), but its fine. I was aware of this fact upon buying. I like the app a lot as well. Finally, when I bought it a day before the prime day special back in June, Ecoflow was kind enough to refund me cash the difference between the price paid and the price on sales. Pretty awesome. Now, it is expensive, but honestly I have zero regret. Hard to get so much functionality at that price. For me, the Delta Pro Ultra is an outstanding investment for anyone seeking reliable power for home backup. Note: I heard a lot of stories about Ecoflow customer support. I have been lucky so far on my side, but only had to deal with them for a few technical questions and a refund. Note however that my setup is quite simply, and I do not rely on Ecoflow's Smart Panel.

I'm 4 months in and I still really love the delta mini, it works amazing. Originally, I bought it to assist with the next power outage, to be able to run a full-size microwave and keep a fridge going, so the 1400W continuous output combined with light weight and portability was what made me choose delta mini over the river and full delta models. But in the mean-time while waiting for power outages, I'm actually using it in so many ways I never even thought of originally. Even at home it's easier to use then getting out an extension cord for stuff like drilling with corded drill indoors or even running temporary lights for halloween. For outdoor work, like a corded chainsaw, or corded drilling auger away from home it works amazing and can work out of reach of an extension cord I use it all the time after a huge windstorm knocked out a dozen trees. I'm also using it as a UPS for my desktop computer, it handles the power interruption without computer rebooting, the switch over time is fast enough and it runs the setup for hours instead of the 10 minutes of normal UPS with lead acid batteries. I love the app interface and ability to adjust the settings, it is just so well thought through. I looked at other products like Bluetti and Jackery but to me Ecoflow's feature list and value is at the top of this market.

It’s too heavy for a single person to move it into a basement, but once in place, it’s really easy to install and setup. It’s really a solid product, well designed and built. I did some calculations, and I have little more than 24hours power backup for the essentials at home (fridge, gas water heater, internet)

Play Video Edit on June 20th, 2022: EcoFlow made good on the promise to send me a new unit. They covered the return shipping of the defective unit and cross-shipped a new one which arrived quicker than anticipated. The new unit functioned as expected, and I am very impressed with the features of this solar generator. I had done a lot of research on solar generators, and this model suited my needs the best. I am happy to report that I have used this over a dozen times during camping trips in our travel trailer early this Spring and during a recent power outage. This solar generator is enough to run our small electronics like my MacBook Pro, tablets, phones and router. I have it paired with some Renogy Solar Panels that I purchased in 2020, and they're the perfect match; no need to connect this to a shore-based power source, the solar panels are enough to recharge it during the day, and it allows passthrough charging. Edit on Feb 18th, 2022: EcoFlow decided to accept the return of this defective unit after this review was posted. I was told "Normally, the replacement would be shipped after the returned parcel is received. But I have applied for a special solution for you that the replacement unit to be arranged for you as soon as your parcel is shipped out." and I dropped off the replacement to FedEx on Wednesday, Feb 16th. Since then, I have now been told that a unit will be shipped out Friday which came and went, now it's Monday but that's a holiday so they're not sure when one will ship. At this point, they have my $1,200 and the defective unit I originally purchased. They're an absolute nightmare to deal with, spare yourself the headache, look at Jackery or Bluetti. I did a lot of research before buying this unit. For $1,263 taxes in, you would think this would be a reliable unit considering it costs the same as a small Honda Generator. Sadly, it arrived completely dead. The unit will not power on and will not charge using the supplied 110V cable. I have tried several outlets but all the unit does is clicks when plugged in, doesn't charge and will not turn on. I contacted Amazon to return it and was told they won't take it back since it was sold and shipped by a 3rd party merchant through Amazon. I contacted the merchant and was asked to send a video to prove that I wasn't lying, no troubleshooting was offered. I am very disappointed to have spent close to $1,300 on a paperweight that neither Amazon nor the manufacturer will take responsibility for. Buyer beware, don't make the same mistake I did.

Ordered in October 2024, the battery was finally delivered December 17, 2024. The supplier did not bother to inform me the battery was going to be delayed, the shipping date of the battery, nor the delivery date. There is also MASSIVE false advertising in stating the battery can be recharged in 2 hours. 5 hours of being plugged is only 30% charge, so it would take 18 hours to fully recharge the battery. Therefore it is not much more effective than using a generator full time. Very disappointed and feel totally ripped off. $6,000 (introductory offer) can buy a LOT of fuel for a generator.
