This is a great chainsaw. Period. I really don't have to say much more, but I will. Here are the pro's. 1. Built well 2. Lightweight 3. Powerful enough for most work 4. Great battery life (much more than I expected..I cut heavy honeysuckle scrub up to about 4-6" diameter for about 4-5 hours until the ONE battery gave up the ghost.) 5. Fast battery charging. Easy to see / understand batter charge LED. 6. Battery holds charge a long time when not in use. 7. Safety hand guard works well as a secondary lockout. 8. Good lubrication oil filler 9. Chain tension adjustment really easy. 10. No "pull to start" arm whiplash. Just pull the trigger....and cut. 11. It's QUIET! 12. You won't need to drain the gas, etc. for longer storage. Cons.... 1. Chain stretches when new. Simple. It happens with all chainsaws, and in this case, it's far easier to adjust the tension than many other saws. (This really isn't about this saw, but ALL chainsaws in general.) 2. Maybe not powerful as gas....but that's ok for most uses around the home. 3. Batteries will run out of juice and need to be recharged. Gas saws...just fill it up. Not so easy for battery if you don't have the time or a plug for the charger. (Maybe get 2 or more batteries....) 4. It doesn't have the Vrooooooom of a typical gas chainsaw...if you are into that sort of thing. Overall...if you are not a lumberjack, just a "do it yourself" homeowner that needs to cut stuff periodically, this is the way to go. If you think you will need a bit more....just get a second battery.

I am really impressed with the longevity of the battery and the chain in this EGO chainsaw. I used this saw all day long cutting through the fall off from the sawmill. I bought two of the chainsaws because buying an extra battery was $10 less than a new saw. I highly recommend this chainsaw!!! No gas mix, just keep the oil reservoir fail and you be pleased with the power and using a saw that cuts wood like butter. I have 5 gas powered chainsaws. Gonna retire them all.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Powerful Performance in a Cordless Package! I recently purchased the EGO Power+ CS1604 16-Inch 56-Volt Cordless Chainsaw, and I can confidently say this tool deserves every bit of the hype. EGO has done an impressive job of delivering a battery-powered chainsaw that performs like a gas chainsaw without the hassle, fumes, and noise! What Stands Out 1. Power and Precision The 56-volt battery packs a punch! I was pleasantly surprised at how easily this chainsaw handled medium-sized trees and thicker branches. The 16-inch bar is the ideal size for both larger tree limbs and smaller yard cleanup. Whether you're trimming trees, cutting logs, or dealing with post-storm debris, this saw has the muscle to get through it without the fuss of fuel and oil. 2. Impressive Battery Life and Charging The included 5.0Ah battery is robust and provides about 60 minutes of runtime under regular use, which is enough to complete most yard projects. EGO's fast charger is excellent, getting the battery back to full charge within 40 minutes, which minimizes downtime. This is perfect if you’re tackling a larger project that might require multiple charging cycles. Plus, the battery is compatible with other EGO tools, which is a big plus if you’re already in their ecosystem. 3. User-Friendly and Well-Balanced The design is lightweight yet durable, and the ergonomics make it comfortable to handle even during extended use. At around 12 pounds, it’s heavy enough to feel substantial but light enough to prevent arm fatigue. EGO’s attention to balance helps keep the saw steady, which makes it easier to get straight, accurate cuts. The tool-free tension adjustment is also a convenient feature, allowing for quick and easy chain adjustments while on the job. 4. Quiet Operation Wow! Compared to a traditional gas chainsaw, this EGO model is exceptionally quiet. It’s still powerful, but you can use it early in the morning or late in the day without annoying your neighbors—or risking hearing damage from the excessive noise gas models can produce. It’s also easier to start; no pulling cords or priming required—just push a button, and you're ready to go. A Few Drawbacks to Note Initial Cost: While the price may seem a bit high compared to some gas models, I find the ease of use, the lack of maintenance, and the overall performance justify the investment. Battery Runtime for Larger Jobs: If you have extensive cutting to do, you may need a second battery, which I had, and ending up needing for the job I had. The included 5.0Ah battery works well for most standard tasks, but larger, continuous jobs will drain it faster. Final Verdict The EGO Power+ CS1604 is a game-changer for homeowners who need a powerful yet quiet and eco-friendly chainsaw. It’s efficient, easy to use, and incredibly convenient for both beginners and seasoned users alike. With its cordless freedom, reliable power, and fast recharge time, this chainsaw is a solid addition to any home tool arsenal. Highly recommend for those looking to skip the gas chainsaw hassle but still get the same performance! Would I buy it again? Absolutely. It’s a top-notch tool that makes yard work feel less like work.

I have had this chainsaw for about one year. I have used gas chainsaws, and this unit is competent. What I like most is that it is ready to go, with no mixing gas or carburetor problems. I do have one issue: You have to keep slack out of the chain. If you don't, it will jump off the bar. That can be a pain.
