This is an excellent snow blower for residential use, and an excellent value for all you receive in the kit. Set-up out of the crate is simple, 4 bolts to attach the upper handle and 1 bolt to attach the discharge chute, each with large knobs for easy tool-free assembly. From unboxing to first use was ~40 minutes. The controls are intuitive and ergonomic, especially if you are familiar with other Ego products (I have the 21" self-propelled lawn mower). The discharge chute adjustment handles are a bit stiff, but are easy enough to work with a single hand. Importantly, the chute does not wander or change direction during use and can easily be manipulated to put the snow exactly where you want it without having to bend or stop moving. This kit includes (4) 10 AH batteries and (2) turbo chargers; the individual purchase prices of these items alone exceeds the total price of the tool kit. The batteries charged from ~1 bar (~10-20% total capacity) on the turbo chargers in ~1 hour (including time needed to warm the batteries after shipping in single-digit temperatures and cool down time after charging). I used a single 7.5 AH battery (from my lawn mower) for the first use. I cleared ~1/2 of my driveway of 4" fresh powdery snow, and ~60 yards of sidewalk of ~9-11" of snow and packed ice (hadn't been cleared in ~1 week), before tramming the machine around my house to store in a shed. I used lower speed settings on the auger for the driveway, and used higher speed (but not turbo) for most of the sidewalk. I completed all work and still had 1 bar (10-20% total capacity) left on the single 7.5 AH battery. I note that Ego recommends using (2) battery packs when operating this snow blower, and I am quite impressed with the work I got out of a single battery! The driveway and sidewalk are all steep grade, and the self-propel worked extremely well, it never lost grip going up and (very importantly) did not run away from me going down the grade. The aggressive tread on the drive tires bit in deeply in to the snow to propel the unit forward. The variable speed controls and reverse were very easy to use and it is easy to optimize the machine's movement to the task and operator comfort. This is a heavy machine, which is good for biting into the snow and getting traction, but it doesn't feel heavy to operate. Turning is accomplished by simply pushing to one side and the machine follows. The machine also freewheels incredibly easy, and the intake chute can be lifted off the ground easily by pushing down on the handles. My only major issue with this purchase was the shipping process. This is a large item, 210 lbs, delivered on a pallet and requiring FedEx freight. Amazon estimated a delivery date within (3) days of purchase (it was listed as a Prime delivery). While I thought that was ambitious, it wasn't even close. The delivery took (9) calendar days to complete. The Amazon tracking app was of no help and, since FedEx turns over last-mile delivery at the end, their tracking was not much more accurate. For an item of this price, I would expect that not one, but two, companies world-famous for package delivery to have a better system in place to update status of shipping. On the other hand, I cannot say enough nice things about the last-mile delivery service in my area, which were extremely polite, efficient, and courteous. Once the freight arrived, the box showed minor damage and the top was open (the delivery driver warned us of this before he arrived and provided instructions for return if the freight was damaged), but luckily nothing inside was damaged. In general Amazon typically does a really good job with shipping information; however, be prepared for a longer than expected delay in shipping for this oversized freight.

The EGO Power snow blower earns a glowing 5-star review! It cleared my driveway of over 6 inches of snow in under 10 minutes with ease. The steel auger cuts through the snow like butter, throwing it far and cleanly, leaving no mess behind. The two batteries provide impressive performance and enough power to handle even deeper snowfalls without a hitch. I also ended up with 3/4 charge after doing my whole 4 car driveway and the mailbox/sidewalk area. Lightweight, efficient, and cordless convenience make it a game-changer for winter clean-up! Highly recommend for anyone looking for speed and reliability in a snow blower.

This EGO snowblower works well. Some of the things I like: a. battery lasts about 25 minutes when blowing deep, heavy, snow b. the power drive feature is powerful and makes propelling the machine pretty easy c. when snow is dry it is shot quite a ways away, but likely not 50 feet, as advertised d. batteries are great and no need to keep jerking on a small gas engine to start it! Things I'm not too happy about: a. the snow really sticks inside and shuts down the system (amber light) when area around auger and exit get clogged with very heavy and wet snow. Requires almost constant unclogging with wet snow b. you have to press pretty hard and hold the handle override down all the time while moving or moving and blowing. This gripping eventually is tiring on the left hand, in particular. c. with wet & heavy snow the snow it isn't shot far at all Note: conditions of use...our driveway is 250 ft. long plus a large parking area (for 7 or 8 cars). We're at an elevation of 9400 ft. in the Rocky Mountains so usually get dry & light snow. I sprayed a de-sticking substance around auger and chute area. I bought a pair of extra batteries and need to use them each time the blower is used.

Play Video At Avril House Vineyard we've adapted Sun Run Solar, Tesla powerwall and electric mower as well as the electric snow blower What I love about the snow blower is the quietness, the steady pace and the efficiency and not having to deal with gas in any way shape or form Just charge the batteries and off you go. Two batteries will do about a half an acre of 6-in snow and in the interim you'll switch batteries finish off the other acre and the batteries in that time period would charge about halfway so you can kind of finish doing the driveway, we plan on getting one more set of batteries. What we did notice is we sheared off pins pretty quickly not sure if they're meant to be that way but definitely order a half dozen or so, they're really easy to change out, they certainly do protect the machine from logs big rocks and all those type of things. It's a very easy and nimble machine, the 24 inch works fine for us and overall we love the machine so go ahead and get one. It does not like hard crusted snow left over from the plow, it will do it, just put it in the lowest speed. It throws snow a long way. Normally we do the middle of the drive at the house and the other half at the street with our gas powered machine. This machine we could easily throw everything all the way to the street. It also has a massive amount of precision for doing pathways. We have igloos in the back and are very careful to maneuver around them. Enjoy your time out there peacefully at any time of the day because it's so quiet.

Finally we had enough snow to give my E GO a good workout and it made the job easy breezy I was worried the dual batteries would lose some power sitting in the cold shed but no problem and it looks like it’s ready to go for the next snow in 2 days ! I’m an EGO fan . I have a mower , hedge trimmer , leaf blower and they too make life easier !

Let's get this out of the way first. It's not a gas-powered blower and shouldn't be expected to perform like one. That said, for your typical suburban property this is pretty much ideal. Does 4 to 6 inches of snow (10 to 15 cm) no problem, and 8 to 12 inch drifts (20 to 30 cm) without much problem, you just have to slow down a bit. Small and light enough to work around obstacles on my patio, or one-handed operation in the driveway if the snow isn't too deep. "Throws snow up to 20 feet" was written by marketing. It's technically true, under ideal conditions the snow won't go more than 20 feet. My engineering brain would have said throws 10 to 15 feet. It's far enough to throw across a sidewalk but for a driveway you'll want to start going down the middle and throwing to each side. It does throw farther if the snow is deeper - if there's not enough snow then it tends to just create a cloud instead of a stream of snow. Runs about an hour on one charge. That's enough to do my driveway, sidewalk, patio and back walk. Can't say yet how well the batteries will age. Definitely get the version with the steel auger, it's worth the extra money. I'd rate it as a light to medium duty machine. If you have to do serious work, you probably need to step up to something else but for what it is, it's pretty much perfect. A quick add - we just had a 10 to 12 inch (25 to 30 cm) snowfall. The blower handled it like a champ. I had to go at a more measured pace, and the batteries only lasted 45 minutes under the heavier load. But no problem. Went through drifts that were higher than the top deck of the machine - the chute looked like a snorkel poking up out of the snow. Still no problem. If there is enough snow to keep the chute full, it throws an honest 20 feet. Maybe a little better. I'm going to upgrade my assessment to a full medium duty. It's done everything I could ask of it.

The is snow thrower is excellent. Just push the button and starts instantly. If you use both batteries at once you get better power and more distance throwing snow. However, battery life is only 20 minutes at best. Use each battery by themselves and you should get 50 minutes of power. Again would recommend.

I only had the opportunity to use it once then the snow stopped. It was very easy to use and to set up. The time I used it it worked very well.
