The FLASHFORGE PLA Filament in Burnt Titanium is hands down one of the most impressive filaments I’ve ever used. From the moment I opened the box, I could tell this was something special. The chameleon-like color-changing effect is mesmerizing and adds a whole new level of creativity to my 3D prints. First, the filament’s quality is top-notch. The spool was neatly wound, which ensured consistent feeding through my printer. No tangles or uneven tension here! The dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.02mm was evident in the precision of my prints. Even at finer settings, the layer lines practically disappeared, making my models look incredibly polished. Printing with this filament was a breeze. I used a standard PLA profile on my printer, with a nozzle temperature of 200°C and a bed temperature of 60°C. The filament adhered perfectly to the print bed with no warping or curling, even on larger models. The flow was consistent, and I didn’t encounter any clogs or jams during the entire spool. The color shift is where this filament truly shines. Depending on the lighting and angles, the burnt titanium shade transitions between stunning hues of blue, gold, and purple. It’s subtle but eye-catching, giving every print a unique and dynamic finish. I’ve printed everything from decorative vases to functional parts, and the color change effect elevates each project to an artistic masterpiece. This filament also feels durable and less brittle compared to some other PLA brands I’ve tried. The prints are sturdy enough for functional use while retaining that premium aesthetic appeal. If you’re looking to add a touch of magic to your 3D printing projects, this filament is worth every penny. It’s a perfect choice for artistic creations, gifts, or just making your models stand out. I’ll definitely be buying more colors from FLASHFORGE!

Absolutely beautiful filament! Have had no issues printing with it on an A1 Mini. Did use a filament dryer on it before printing.

I decided to see what Flashforge PLA was like and needed a role of bright orange for a few things. I ordered a roll to see if it was worth keeping in mind for future needs. The roll arrived sealed, boxed, and well spooled. No Ziplock bag was included, but there was a pack of desiccant. The filament was malleable after opening the vacuum-packed sealed bag indicating it had not absorbed any moisture during manufacturing or shipping. No print temperatures were on the spool, and I couldn’t find any on their website either. The default temps from Cura did seem to work well, and it allowed me to lower my build plate temperature to 55C without adhesion issues when using hairspray. The filament is mildly translucent, and you can see the infill under typical light conditions with a .1mm wall. If that’s an issue for your output, consider raising that to reduce the translucency. I set a few Cura variables to adapt to the attitude the filament had. 1. Printing temperature: 200C 2. Print Bed Temperature: 55C 3. Initial temperature: 220C 4. Initial Bed Temperature: 65C I used Fructis hairspray to aid adhesion, as I do with most PLA. Print speeds used were: 1. Speed: 80mm/s 2. Wall speed: 40mm/s 3. Initial layer speed: 15mm/s 4. Skirt/Brim Speed: 15mm/s Adhesion was excellent under these conditions, and interlayer bonding was great as well. The Colour is extraordinarily rich as seen in the sample photos I’m attaching to this review. I may be doing a few safety signs with this as the colour is right for that sort of use. It’s also right if you’re printing orange, and you need to hold your orange headphones. :D Glad I tried it… will likely order more in the future.
