I have a condition where I have to increase water intake, and I prefer my water with ice, so I thought this would help. This icemaker has worked great so far, the design is pretty robust and it makes enough ice to keep up with my 5 person office (I'm nice and sharing). This is a continuous circulation design, so as ice is made, it's dumped into a tray, which melts into a water holding tank, which is then recirculated in the freezing chamber on top. The freezing device consists of several rods with stubby extensions which rotate into a shallow pan of water which is filled via pump from the reservoir beneath the ice basket. The stubs of the rods submerge and as they cool, ice forms around them, making cup shaped cubes. There are options for small or large. My one worry was that the ice would not be very cold and would melt and break quickly, but the larger size cube is quite robust and solid. With the lid down the cubes last fairly long, enough so I'm not bothering to transfer them to the freezer to save them. If I kept the icemaker in a hot room or garage this might not be as practical, but it works very efficiently in an air conditioned office. As the small plastic basket fills, there's some sort of sensor that automatically shuts off the machine from creating another load, so it can be left relatively unattended. I haven't paid much attention to the scooping design which collects the cubes and dumps them into the basket, but there haven't been any problems with it so far. I use water from a filtered fountain and the cubes taste fine, perhaps even better than the water straight out of the filter. I have not tested with unfiltered water, but the water is so gross in my neck of the woods I would be afraid to damage it. I work around a lot of humming machines, so the noise is easy for me to tune out. It can be a little noisy when cycling, so if you're sensitive to that sort of thing you might want to put it in a different room. I honestly don't care either way, because the ice is convenient and delicious! Very glad I purchased it, and wavering on getting a second one for at home.

Bought this to use in my RV. It works great. Puts out ice every few minutes and keeps us loaded up with ice while camping. Easy to use. No wiring setup. It’s just plug and use. Add water and it keeps pumping out ice. It’s been a great machine for the price.

I think someone said it’s loud in the reviews I read. It’s only loud when ice is falling! Not sure how falling ice could be quiet. You can not hear it from other rooms either. Maybe they had a defective one or something

Set up was easy. Filling and cleaning are easy. It doesn't have the biggest basket but it does recycle the melting water to help keep fresh ice. It is of good quality and value. The ice maker is durable and not to loud. It creats about 6 pieces in about 6 minutes for the speed.

Product works very well in making small and large ice cubes fairly quickly. Only issues is if there is a power outage it defults to full off, meaning the cube already made melt and none are being made, also if water runs out, to get it running again after adding water you have to turn it off and then back on and select the size of the cubes again, and the cube trayarea only gets cold air while it is making cube. once tray is full the compressor shuts off and your cube start melting. This said, The unit is good and does what is claimed and functions very well otherwise

$400 dollars to fix ice maker on our refrigerator, $80 to buy the counter top ice maker, shipping on time, easy to use. Couple hints, it make small cubes and large cubes, it freezes at 27 ish degrees. We dump each basket in a gallon baggie and place in our 3 degree freezer, gives you better ice. Bag fills up dump it in ice bin in freezer. Runs about 7 or 8 hours to fill our large bin. If you run out of water it shuts off, bin gets full it shuts off. Doesn’t take much tending. Very happy with product.

This small yet powerful little ice maker is fast. Yes, you have to add water (it is portable and can sit on any countertop or tabletop). I use filtered water from my tap, I like the taste of that water and it is in the taste is in my ice cubes when I scoop them out. It does make some noise, there is a fan and a refrigerant compressor, but it is not so loud as to be annoying (for me). If you are looking for a reasonably small, not too heavy to carry ice maker you can set almost anywhere that there is a three-prong outlet (a three prong UL approved extension cord would also work if you needed it), then this is a good one I recommend. Here are a couple of things on the downside: The bin is not refrigerated, so the ice can melt over time at exposure to room temperature (mine turned into a blob that I could break up). Nice thing is, if the ice does melt, the water goes right down into the water storage area. Be careful if you move it (carry it), when the low water light comes on there is still water in the bottom of the unit. It comes with a drain on the underside of the unit if you want to let out all the water, just make sure you place the cap back on securely. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to read, setup is fast. I am surprised at how quickly you can get a reasonable amount of ice on the "Large" setting (give it about an hour). You will not be disappointed.

Great little machine to make ice in a counter top, I remove ice and bag it in put in freezer to make the ice last longer. Right out of machine ice melts quickly but placing in the freezer for a few hours hardens the ice which makes it last longer.
