Perfect fit, and material for our golden pup who got fixed. She did not need a cone and worth this without any issue. I love that the back flap can roll up and be out of the way for potty time, and easily Velcro back around to cover her stitches. She was able to move freely and be comfortable while healing after surgery.

We’ve all been there...your pup’s had a procedure, and now they look like they’re about to enter a cone of shame contest. But with the FUAMEY Recovery Suit, you can skip the cone and still keep your dog comfortable, protected, and stylish (yes, we’re talking about a dog in tie-dye!). This soft, breathable bodysuit is a game changer for dogs recovering from surgery, neutering, spaying, or any injury that needs a little extra TLC. The suit works as a comfortable alternative to traditional e-collars. It’s designed to prevent your dog from licking or biting at their wounds, which is a lifesaver when they’re itching to scratch that recovery itch. Plus, it’s easy to put on and take off, and the stretchy material ensures a snug fit without restricting your dog’s movement. They can still strut around the house in style, just minus the awkward cone-head look. Pros: • Comfortable, breathable fabric that keeps your dog cool and cozy during recovery. • Great alternative to the dreaded e-collar, it’s less bulky and more stylish (hello, tie-dye fashion statement!). • Prevents licking and biting of wounds, reducing the risk of infection. • Easy to put on and take off with the stretchy material that provides a snug fit. • Available in multiple sizes (this one’s size L, but make sure you check for the right fit). • Machine washable, because no one wants to hand-wash a dog recovery suit. Cons: • Might not be suitable for larger dogs or those who are particularly wiggly—check sizing carefully! • If your dog is a true escape artist, they may be able to wriggle out of it (but that’s just your dog being too clever for their own good). • Some dogs might need a bit of time to adjust to wearing something instead of a cone, but they’ll thank you once they’re more comfortable. All in all, the FUAMEY Recovery Suit is a great way to help your dog recover in comfort and style. They’ll appreciate the soft fabric, and you’ll appreciate not having to deal with that cone. Plus, they’ll look adorable in the tie-dye design. Win-win!

To start, my dog is between sizes. I was worried about the neck to tail size the most, so we sized up. This lead to some gaping of the material and openings to lick close to but not on her spay site by her crotch. The material is pretty stretchy and comfortable, so you might be able to stick with the smaller size and be ok. With that being said though, I was concerned because a few days in with using it, it seemed like it was stretching out too much and no longer retaining shape. Like a hoodie or long sleeve you pushed up to your elbows too many times and now the hand part is stretched out forever. As another review said as well, it’s all the same material with some padding around the belly/ crotch piece that is very susceptible to becoming soaked if you have a dog who likes to lick. I would not leave my dog unsupervised in just this suit as I’m positive she could weasel her way to her surgical site or lick it soaked. When she is supervised however, and being there able to redirect her from licking, it works great to give her a break from the cone. Bathroom time isn’t difficult at all and takes maybe 10-15 seconds to undo. My other issue I had was the material feels flimsy to the point that if I’m not careful pulling the Velcro apart that I could easily eventually rip where it’s sewn to the suit. If you’re careful and consistent about where you grab to pull the Velcro apart I believe it will be fine. For me personally the suit did not work as great as I would’ve hoped for my original intent. My dog being itchy post-surgery lead to her scratching raw spots on her sides with her back feet and this in tandem with the cone did work great to help protect her skin while she healed though from scratches!! I did really enjoy the suit designs though. Very fashionable. I think this could be improved immensely with a slightly better material (like a nylon workout shirt material), and a some more padding/waterproofing in the belly area.

Nice little wrap! I debated between 4 and 5 stars, I went with 5 because I think some of the things I’m iffy about won’t be a problem in the two weeks I’ll be using this (it’s meant for surgery recovery, after all, not a permanent outfit.) The sizing is accurate, the material is lightweight and soft and stretchy. It covers my dog’s spay incision completely. The pattern is cute. The only thing I think might be an issue is that the Velcro sticks together really well, so pulling apart makes me worry I’ll pull the stitching out of one side or the other. However, the Velcro also seems like it won’t stick that well after a wash if even the smallest amount of lint or hair gets stuck to it. That being said, this is overall a great alternative to a cone of shame. My puppy had such a rough first night after her spay trying to sleep in a cone. I felt so bad for her I ordered two of these suits that offered overnight delivery, and that was the best decision! As soon as I took her cone off and got her in the suit, she finally laid down and slept for hours.

So glad we purchased this for our dog after he had surgery recently. This is a much better option than the cone! The size guide made it easy to select the appropriate size and the design made it easy to put on and take off. It fully covered both of the small incisions. I’ve washed it once so far and it shrank a tiny bit in the dryer but still fits. The colour and designs are really cute. Normally our dog doesn’t like wearing anything but he seemed to like his onesie! It’s given us peace of mind that he’s comfortable and unable to lick or scratch at his incision while he’s healing. I’d recommend this to anyone and just wish we’d purchased it prior to his procedure so we’d had it from day one.

I was concerned about the surgical cone so I'm glad I found these. Bought the mint and pink stripe for my puppy's upcoming surgery. She looks like a little easter egg in it.. very cute! She's a cavapoo - 19 inches long in the back and 18 pounds and quite furry. A medium fit perfectly - not too loose or too snug. The vet told me to bring it in and they will put it on her post surgery. I think this will work out well.

The Recovery Suit for Dogs After Surgery is a decent product overall, but unfortunately, it was too big for our dog, leading us to return it. Despite the sizing issue, the suit appeared to be well-made and would likely work effectively for dogs that fit its dimensions. The material seemed comfortable and durable, with good coverage to protect surgical wounds and reduce the need for a cone. It appeared easy to put on and take off, which would have been convenient for monitoring and cleaning during our pet's recovery. For future buyers, I would recommend carefully reviewing the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer to ensure a proper fit for your dog. While it didn't meet our needs due to sizing, it could be a practical choice for others seeking post-surgery care solutions.

I read reviews before purchasing that said it fits small, so I ordered a size up and am glad I did. Even with the size up it's a bit tight around his chest when he's lying down. My boy is a 85lb bernedoodle and is wearing xxl. He had surgery near his tail and back leg, and while the onesie doesn't fully cover the incision it's enough of a deterent to prevent him from licking it, though I don't know that it would be for all. He runs hot and doesn't overheat in this which I'm very pleased about. For bathroom breaks I undo the velcro and pull up the part that covers the back end, fold it and velcro it around his ribs so I don't have to take it all the way off. Really really please overall.

If your dog is at the end of the size range, the next size up will be too big/long and the one purchased will be very snug with no room for bandages etc.
