Is it a Martin or an Ovation? No. It is exactly what it looks like. A fairly cheaply made (but seemingly well made) guitar for beginners. Tone quality, not great but serviceable. I replaced the strings with my own favorites but the strings provided were fender strings and would work for a beginner. Arrived undamaged and semi-playable out of the box with a little tuning. Holds tune well considering price. The built in tuner isn't anything to write home about but works and makes traveling with this guitar easier. Case fits snug, and has been fairly durable thus far. If you are looking for a beginner guitar with everything you need in one package, this is for you. If you already play guitar well, this is a good addition to the collection when you don't want your nice guitar out near the fire drinking/camping with friends. (that is what I use this for)

I read some of the negative reviews, but this guitar is beautiful, comfortable and sounds great. Holds its tune, so far. I love it! I did change the strings, but that’s just my preference. The guitar and case were delivered in perfect condition and it came with all the accessories.

This is my second guitar, my first being an Epiphone LP purchased 1.5 months ago. So I don't really have a lot of experience with guitars yet. But I am pretty impressed with this bundle. The guitar is very nice looking, as well as the case. The strap is decent, an actual Fender logo is on the strap. The case is made by GearLux, and appears to be decently made. Extra set of strings is nice. Though going from 9's on my electric to these 12's I can tell the difference. For the guitar itself, it looks amazing! The tuners feel decent, and speaking of tuners I do like the electronic tuner function, while I can tune the guitar to itself, that's not as accurate for my ear yet. The bass, volume and treble knobs are small, but fairly easy to turn. The Fender Play class was for 14 days, which they have those deals all the time, so not impressed with that. I also have not watched the DVD yet, I would have to plug in a DVD player to my PC to do that. The seller also included a 1/4" guitar cable. It doesn't feel that high quality - but if you get an amp too, or have an amp you're all set.

This guitar is great if you’re starting out. Looks and feels amazing. Sound is crisp and clear. Tuning is not bad, occasionally I will need to make some minor adjustments but overall a quality guitar.

I bought this make/model guitar because I am trying to relearn how to play after nearly 40 years and didn't want to spend too much unless I get more serious. This Fender bundle seemed like a good buy. The guitar was fine out of the box, except for a few issues. The edges of the frets were not finished off and a bit rough. The neck required some adjustment of the truss rod, which is knew how to do from several YouTube videos. The action still seemed a bit high to me but I didn't want to start shaving the bridge down at this point. The guitar is completely playable at this point in my lessons, but I wish I had spent a bit more money for a solid wood top rather than the laminate top if this model. The guitar case that came with the bundle is excellent for a guitar of this value and affords much more protection than a gig bag. I have already replaced the strings with D'Addirio .011 gauge rather than the spare Fender strings that came in the bundle to improve the playability. I have tried the acoustic pickup through a non-guitar amplifier, and the sound quality is excellent. In all, this bundle is a good value for beginners and re-learners like myself, although I wish I had looked at a few more Fender and Yamaha models before buying.

I’m an out of practice musician, mostly specialized in wind and percussion instruments. Since the self-quarantine began, I’ve been itching to pick up something new. I’ve always wanted to learn guitar so figured I’d give it a shot. I did a bit of research and decided on this one (black finish). For the price, I was pleasantly surprised with the look, feel and sound of this guitar. An excellent find for a beginner or intermediate player. Since the price was on the lower end, I expected to find some minor defects but no, all parts were all in excellent/new condition. Even the packaging was done with care. The strings were covered in a paper sheet along the neck. The guitar was wrapped in a thin foam sheet and placed within the hard case (chose hard over soft case). The hard case was then packaged in a discreet cardboard box. If you’re looking for a quality guitar at an affordable price, I highly recommend this one!

This guitar has excellent quality and sound. The first thing I noticed on this guitar was how smooth the neck and frets were. No filing was needed. I had an professional guitarist examine and play the guitar and he loved it! Sayed it played as good if not better than many Gibsons he has played in the past. The tuner is spot on and the strings that come with it are actually really high quality. I did have to adjust the neck a little to get the sound right, but after that, perfection. It plays well through both speakers and amps. If you are looking for superb quality at price that is both affordable and realistic, look no further.

It is a beautiful guitar and a great package for beginner. Having a hard case makes it good for traveling with. I was delighted at finding a Fender acoustic/electric guitar manufactured in the USA for such a great price on Black Friday. It was delayed getting here but mother nature was to blame for that. I was very disappointed to find that the guitar was actually crafted in China. I felt somewhat deceived as I probably wouldn't have bought it. Living in Canada, it's far easier to deal with the USA if there was an issue with the guitar. If it was made in the USA, I would've given it 5 stars.

for the price you get your buying a brand name... I owned a Ibenez that had a solid top (one piece of wood in stead of plywood top, solid top has a better tone...) and for the same price I paid for this guitar...

This product is defective and it's bridge is lifting right out of the face of the guitar. It happened past return date and seller keeps linking me back to deal with fender to repair or replace. Cost of repair is more than the guitar is worth and I have basically wasted my money on an instrument that is not playable very unhappy with this !
