I use to have the fitbit 3 se and loved it for 3 years and i tried the samsung 4 for all the bells and whistles but the charge lasted a day which to me is counterproductive. I decided to go back to my fitbit since I also enjoyed the platform more for recording all my data such as food ect. I missed the barcode feature when putting in your meals. I use mine more strictly for steps, 24 heart rate, sleep analysis, contactless payments and tracking all my workouts. I'm not a runner anymore so I haven't used the built in GPS but based on technical reviews I didn't miss out. It's a fairly new concept which needs more software updates to be fully functional and not drain the battery life to oblivion. My fitbit actually lasts me a little over 8 days this is with turning the always on display off, txt message notifications off ( I don't see a need for this since I'm not one to utilize too many short message replies). And having the display brightness set to dim and even in full sun I can still see the display very crisply. The contactless payments uses Google pay which if you are already an android user with a Google pay wallet set up was easy and I like that for security reasons it only is set for 24 hour use after putting in your 4 digit code before having to reinput your code. Now the code input is trivial to me I don't like the setup for it. The water resistance is good I haven't showered with the device but the waterlock works well when I wash my hands multiple times a day being a nurse. I have not tested it swimming for the 50 meter water resistance claim. The workout options have improved with more options and now I'm able keep track of my active zone minutes. The heart rate tracking during exercises is said to be more accurate than the charge 5 based on tech data analysis reviews that I researched before hand. The downside is Spotify was removed and replaces with YouTube music in which you will need a subscription for. The 1.4 inch amoled size is perfect if you aren't a huge fan of having a bulky tracker on your wrist. You also now have the option of syncing your device with other heart rate monitoring equipment/workout machines including peloton but for me isn't useful. It has a haptic side button now that was seen in older models which i prefer. Another great feature is the addition of Google maps for those are are runners but again you may compromise the battery life. Since Google bought fitbit there will be more Google geared software. For more health features you now have the eda and ecd scan no BP monitor like on my samsung 4 to my knowledge has pased fda as of yet. You also have a skin temperature sensor like in the fitbit sense how accurate I'm unsure it would need to be tested against something like a NTC thermistor. The sleep analysis data seems overall accurate. I also do use a cpap machine. Overall for the price I think it's a more than suitable tracking device with its more updated hr monitoring compared to other apple watches, garmins and huawei. Still room for improvement such as the built in GPS. I think the GPS should just be mirrored on your phone which is still an option on the charge 6 you can chose dynamic, built in or phone. I would stick with phone to preserve battery but in all I recommend this product.

Love this Fitbit. Cute color. Seems to be super accurate, maybe more so than ones I’ve had on the past. Adjustable band and sturdy. Screen is easy to read and scratch resistant . Perfect size not to wide or bulky

Overall it's a great tracker which, for me anyway, is why Fitbit is the leader in wearable fit-tech. This unit is leaps ahead of my previous one, which finally just ended itself. IMHO, the Charge 6 it is very nice looking (but I wish they hadn't discontinued the blue band), tracks what I find necessary for my personal use, and is simple to operate and understand. My two gripes for what it's worth; I wish it could go further than 2 days on a charge (mostly because the charge cable is cumbersome to use). If I try to squeeze 3 days out of it, it usually won't get through my 3rd exercise. I thought the setting allowed for turning on GPS only when beginning an Exercise, but it seems to be an all on or all off setting after all. Please correct me if I am wrong. But for me this seems to be why the battery doesn't hold up better because it seems that, while I am wearing it and just walking about my work day, GPS is actively running. Also, the way it sits in the charger, is too cumbersome. You must have it in the correct 180 degree orientation for the magnet to grab hold, and with all the bulk of the wire and magnet attachment underneath the watch, you have to actively 'think' when placing it on the table and ensure that it doesn't inadvertently release the charge cord. My other gripe is, the screen is too small when Exercising. Yes I need reading glasses, which I do not run with, but none the less it makes it troubling when I think if they redesigned this platform into a larger watch face, it would be more useful and enjoyable by being able to more easily see the screen while doing an activity. As it is now I have to wait until it all syncs to my phone then I check it out post-run, etc. Which means I cannot make adjustments to my run in real time.

Play Video Why did the Fitbit Charge 6 win me over? 1) It holds a charge for a lot longer compared to any watch. I need to charge it only every 7 days or so (depending on which features you keep active) Compared to an Apple Watch that needs charging pretty much every day. 2) And it charges back up quickly. Less 1.5 hours and you’re good to go for another 7 days. 3) Its size. It is not bulky. I find the watches to feel a bit chunky on me. This is small and comfortable enough that I quickly came to not noticing that I am wearing it. I can sleep with it comfortably (and that’s important for me as tracking my sleep is important to me) And it just looks more discrete on my arm. 4) It gives me a lot of health information and easily tracks my running and other fitness without going overboard. Personally I do not need the extent of detail you would find with something like the Garmin. 5) It is very user friendly. You don’t need to be a super techy to operate. It’s easy to sync with your phone right out of the box. Then I watched a couple great YouTube videos on the basics to learn even more about all the functions and features. The more I use this the more I like it. It has definitely helped me improved my health. I’ve learnt variables that affect my health that I didn’t know about. I’ve not yet signed up for the free six months of the premium membership because I wanted to see what I get without it. You get loads without it! I won’t go in to all the functions here but take a look at them and see if it gives you what you want. If so, then I would definitely recommend this Charge 6. I find all the functions work well. I’ve not had any problems with any of them. Yes I am very happy with my purchase!

The always on display has red pixels all over the edges and looks terrible. Can't use that feature that I paid for... Buy it from somewhere reputable for the warranty. Otherwise, the watch works as intended. Cons: contactless payment does not work in unsupported countries small size only Youtube music, no spotify or else clock watch faces are limited Pros: accurate tracker does its job
