We had to chop pounds and pounds of onions to help make vats of soup for a soup sale. My husband thought I was nuts for volunteering us for this job but that is because he did not know what I knew, which was that I'd seen this chopper recommended on several cooking videos and was just looking for a reason to purchase it for our home and this was just the reason I needed! The chopper arrived quickly, as promised, and as fast as I peeled the onions, he chopped them! In fact, he had to wait for me to finish peeling the onion a few times. He really LOVES using this chopper and now looks for recipes that call for chopped vegetables and fruits. He has taken over the cooking the last few years now that I am not well and for the first time, he is smiling as he preps the foods....guys and their gadgets, huh? This chopper does all sorts of chopping, dicing and slicing in various sizes and shapes and does it very well. Clean up is easy, too, because it can be put in dishwasher. Of course, the reason it does such a great job is because the blades are precise and sharp so be smart and be careful when using this chopper to ensure that you are only chopping food and not your fingers! We are both very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

This performance as described. I mostly use it for onions. The reviews that state it's hard to use or take apart or someone defective are not tethered in reality and probably shouldn't operate cars, let alone a sharp kitchen gadget. Seriously. It's the simplest of devices. I will say USE caution when using them because they ARE very sharp. But the little brush and "poker outter" comb thing is very helpful. Just get one. It makes chopping veggies less of a chore and you can really take out the day's frustrations when you whack down on the lid (but not too hard, it is a brittle plastic) 😂

Chopped onions beautifully, no tears! Next I chopped potatoes, very easy. Tried small carrots....better to use the mandolin....that too was easy. Very easy to use and a little hard to clean. But, I am glad I bought it especially for the tearless onion chopping. After cleaning, all parts fit nicely inside the chopper.

I'm developed a tremor in my hand, making chopping, slicing and shredding veggies and cheeses with a razor sharp carbon steel bladed knife a sometimes dangerous activity. This madoline is the perfect answer. Yesterday I sliced and chopped and grated 2 quarts of vegetables, including potatoes & onions, for soup and this sturdy device did it all. It's safe, sharp, versatile and easy to clean in a dishwasher. One caveat is that it's difficult to open. I used the straight, handle end of a small stainless steel spoon to pry it open to dump the contents in the pot, no problem. I will just store that little spoon with all the pieces.

This has turned out to be one of the most used and convenient kitchen tools I use on almost a daily basis. It significantly cuts down prep time and cleans up like a breeze. Plus, the attachments conveniently store inside the product. Don't hesitate...this is the product you didn't know you needed!

What a great product!! Love the quality of the item. It's sturdy and does an excellent job dicing, cutting and slicing. The slicer piece as stated in all the instructions and manual that it is very sharp and warns you to be aware to use it properly. I tried to slice carrots with the handle to hold the carrot and did not grip it well. The carrot kept coming off the handle. I honestly thought I was fully aware how to prevent an injury. DO NOT try to use slicer with your hand!! I ended up in a flash of a second slicing the tip of my finger and fingernail off. Please DO NOT use this item without following the proper instructions as noted. This slicer blade is a razor!!! Hopefully this will save someone a painful deformity injury!!

I already own one of these vegetable processors and its a wonderful addition to my kitchen. Easy to use and easy to clean. The drawer is removable for easy dispensing of the cut veggies.

I had one of these years ago when they were first selling them on TV and they were much less sturdy. This one is very well built. Its biggest problem is trying to be everything for everybody. I tried to use the egg and soft food slicer to slice a button mushroom, which it should have been able to do. Unfortunately, when I pressed the wires down on the mushroom, the slicer came apart at the hinge and did not want to be put back together. I've had $.99 slicers do better. A much better solution would be an insert with blades for slicing like the ones for dicing. The mandolin addition is interesting, especially with the juliene and grating inserts. As for the juicer, it makes storage bulky and really doesn't belong with this unit. People who use juicers don't do it by hand anymore. Overall, the unit is worth the money. The storage tray is nice and keeps the blade units and accessories well organized. Unfortunately, there is not a way to keep the main unit, the mandolin top and the storage tray all together so that they take up less shelf space. As a result, they end up being side by side, needing about 12 inches total. UPDATE: if a company read my review and decided that I was having too many problems with the machine. They emailed me very very politely apologizing for my problems and thanking me for my insight and offered me a complete refund without even asking for the machine to be returned. I was astonished. I have never had a company do anything like that. I think this shows just how much they do care about their customers which unfortunately is unusual in today's market. I think if you will stay with the basic version of the item and not try to get something that's going to do everything you'll be very happy with it and have a beautiful functional item for your kitchen.

Pensé durante un tiempo cual mandolina elegir, viendo otras opciones habia reseñas de que el material no resistia y no eran afiladas las cuchillas. Aunque esta es de las versiones un poco más costosas comparada con otras similares no me arrepiento. Porque es maciza y el material resistente... puede ser un poco dificil de usar porque hay que aplicar un poco de fuerza, como un golpe en seco para partir algo duro, como una papa por ejemplo, pero el material de buena calidad aguanta este tipo de maniobra. En general, cumple mis expectativas... las cuchillas muy afiladas y espero sigan así El espacio para picar es pequeño por lo que si hay que partir la verdura o fruta que se vaya a picar, pero aún así ahorro tiempo. Se lava facil con el cepillo y peinecito que trae para limpiar

Super practico, solo un poco complicado de limpiar pero en general es una compra excelente, muy buenos materiales
