Took a chance on this as I've never heard of this brand but can't say enough good about this unit. I turned around and bought another one to put on the far end of the house and they work very very well. Great quality they're much quieter than previous bug zappers I have owned and seem to attract a lot more.

I previously purchased a similar bug zapper but from a different manufacturer. It was larger and had a photocell switch so it turned off in the daytime, but it didn’t have the removable catch tray or include a cleaning brush. This Gootop does a good job killing flying insects including larger moths. It has a brighter blue light. In fact it’s even visible in bright sunlight. What would make it outstanding is if it had a photocell like its competitor so it would turn off in the daytime. The cleaning brush should be redesigned. The handle is short and it’s difficult to poke it inside the grill. It currently is designed like a dust pan brush when it would be better as a paint brush configuration. The twist off bottom tray catches the bugs. My zapper had quite a few moths that stick to the grill instead of falling down. They’re difficult to clean out since the grill is all one piece. It has a decent length cord compared to its competitor’s very short cord, but you will most like need an outdoor extension cord if your zapper is any length away from its outlet. Overall I’m satisfied with purchase. With a few improvements it can be 5 stars.
