This bulb is terrible. I’ve had many smart bulbs and this one will not pair no matter what I do. I think it’s defective because I have never had this happen.

Just installed. So far great. Linked to Alexa when purchasing and I didn't even need to install an app for it to be discovered. Nice range of colors. For under $12 it's a pretty good option. Edit: I had to remove 1 star because it isn't working at all with Alexa by voice but is fine with routines and when using the app. I had bought a 2nd bulb before I realized this. For me it's a big deal because I need a bulb for the bedroom since the light switch is so far from the bed. Guess I'll be buying a Cync for that since the ones I have are reliable except after a power outage, which is why the description for this Globe seemed more appealing to buy this time.

Very impressed with how easy this bulb was to set up. You just use Alexa right from the start and then scan a barcode on the instruction manual for Alexa to find your bulb. Enter your wifi name and password, then tell it what room to put the bulb in and you're done. This may be the easiest smart device set up I've ever experienced! Once you complete the set up process, the Alexa app and voice commands allow you to select a wide variety of colors and 5 shades of white. You can also select various "moods" which either set a fixed color and brightness (i.e. "Relax," "Focus," or "Comfort") or a color- and brightness-changing pattern reminiscent of the ocean, a volcano, the jungle, or a party. The bulb is listed to have a brightness of up to 800 lumens, which won't light up an entire room, but is good for a table or reading lamp. If I were to change anything about this bulb, it's the lack of Google Home functionality. It's very clearly stated in the product description that it only works with Alexa, so I'm not going to take any stars off for that, but for $12 (current price at this time), I believe you can find other color-changing bulbs that work with both Google and Alexa. When I bought it, the price was only $6.83 and for that price, this bulb is a great deal - even if it only works with Alexa.

Really easy set-up. Just put the bulb in & scan the Q code in the instructions using the Alexa app's add a device screens & it links rate your Alexa, no 3rd party app or website needed. The bulb is a standard size light bulb, I say that because some smart bulbs a tad shorter then the average light bulb, allowing them to fit smaller lamp shade style lamps without needing a completely new bulb. Connects easily to Alexa, is exclusive to Alexa (which could be an issue for some) but also tried to connect to Smart Things so may work with that too. Lot's of Color's and quite a few shades of white light combine to make a really easy to use smart bulb. It wakes me up with my Alexa alarm, making morning's a little bit brighter. Thank goodness there's no extra app as I was going to buy Amazon brand only bulbs going forward but this was something I figured I'd try to not limit myself to one line of any product. After using it for a little the bulb is great, the light is great, the colors are fun & it's a decent bulb for the actual lighting part.

I cannot stress this enough, more than how GORGEOUS this bulb actually works, the setup and getting it online was the fastest and easiest that I've ever experienced. The bulb comes in a no-nonsense package, and is quick and easy to unbox and get plugged in. Once it's turned on, you just head over to the Alexa app, press "add device" and then scan the QR code. It's literally that simple. I was blown away by this. I currently use Philips Hue, Govee, SmartLife, Z-Wave, and many other apps/systems. This one was the quickest and easiest to setup yet. Job well done for Globe Electric. Lastly, the light output is super bright, saturated and the colors are off the charts. Most bulbs that I use are fine, and have no issues, but this one immediately stands out with its top-notch performance. I love it so much, I put it in my office, directly above my desk. Every day, I get to enjoy how lovely this bulb really is. Spectacular job on this, kudos.

The bulb works great, the ability to change the color through the Alexa app is fun! Setting up the bulb was a little problematic since I was following the instructions on the pamphlet in the the box, but those instructions were a little off. The instructions didn't list the A19 bulb as the selection to choose, they said to choose the 2D bulb option. I figured that out through trial and error. And the Alexa integration through my phone is a little hit and miss. I've tried to ask Alexa to turn the light on and off a number of times and she has understood/completed the task less than half the time. Many times it says the bulb is unresponsive. If I go into the app and physically select the light to be turned on, it works, but the whole point of this technology and the draw of this bulb and integration is to be able to ask Alexa to turn the light on and that just doesn't work consistently. That is disappointing.

This is one of several Globe bulbs I own. The work great and last forever.

The lightbulb has some nice colours, but not that big of a selection. One thing I dislike about it though is that When I turn the brightness down to around 1% or 5% it completely changes the color. For an example: When I turn the pink brightness down to 1%, it changes the color to red. When I change the purple brightness to 1% it changes the colour to blue. It would be nice if it changed the color to the actual color it's supposed to be, but other than that, it does its job.
