I wanted to crochet a chunky blanket for my sister for Christmas and decided to go with a giant hook and giant yarn. While it was tough to get the hang of using a big hook (T-30, 30 mm hook), this yarn was easy to work with while I was getting the hang of it and I’m so glad it wasn’t stretchy. You’ll need to keep your tension looser than normal if you end up using a hook! The yarn is so soft. Perfect texture for a blanket. I used an easy pattern (1 row double crochet, 1 row slip stitch) and it ended up looking like it was harder than it was. It worked up quickly (I had to redo quite a few stitches though so it evened out the timeline 😂). I loved the color I chose! The yarn came in vacuum packed bags which was convenient - tip: only open each bag as you need more yarn. Less stuff everywhere! The smell wasn’t too bad, in fact, I don’t remember being repulsed at all. Good value for the money. If I had bought these elsewhere, I probably would have had to drop more money to make a blanket. That said, this comes with 8 skeins of yarn. It’s enough to make a lap blanket. Perfect for reading, sitting, etc. and for a few simple tassels. Covers you from the waist down, basically. Looks cute on a couch or on the end of a bed.:) But too small for covering your whole body to take a nap on the couch. 😂 I’d recommend either buying additional single skeins to make it a tad bigger, or buy 16 total if you want ensure that it’ll cover someone’s whole body. My sister loved it as a gift and didn’t think it was too small so if you can’t buy more, you’ll likely be ok.:) Hope the photos help you get a better idea of the sizing!

This product is great quality and a great price. I made this blanket for my son and he was 100% happy with the warmth, feel, and size. I did end up ordering a small amount of a different brand to add to it when I ran out that was also great. I’d recommend getting more than the 8 pack for a decent sized blanket. The 12 pack is perfect!

When I received it, it was air sealed, so it was all compact, after opening it I left it out for a little bit, so it can regain its shape a bit, it didn’t regain much shape since it was all smashed together, but I found after you just pass it through your fingers it will become round again, The yarn itself is pretty soft, the color I got is really pretty, I have yet to actually start using it to see if there Are any knots throughout the yarn, but I will update Once I start going through it. All in all, it’s pretty good quality, it could be a bit thicker, and it’s good pricing, with it being roughly $4.50 per yarn compared to when I would buy it in the store. It would be eight dollars.

Good quality yarn and a good price. This 8 pack was cheaper than buying 6 individually at any store. It had a few knots throughout the skeins but I just cut them out and melted them together like new so it was no issue.

I used this for handknitting my husband a giant blanket. He absolutely loves it, he says it's so warm and cozy. With the size of the yard I was able to complete the project in just a couple days. Color is gorgeous and feels so soft! Only complaint is that it comes super shrinkwrapped and you have to let it breathe and fluff it up before using. Seriously it doesn't even look like yarn when it arrives. But it's easy enough to fix.

I make blankets and I'm usually happy with the yarn I receive. I ordered an 8 pack and 7 were in perfect condition. The last one was dirty. I scrubbed it by hand and it is still discolored. I'm not upset as I usually have no issues, but I'd really appreciate it if the company would send me 1 skein to replace the one that is damaged. I hope to resolve this and continue to order from this company. Accidents happen, I'd just like 1 replacement skein so I can finish my blanket. Thank you.
