I LOVE this printer! Besides the scanning capabilities (which many printers have nowadays, but very nice on this one, nonetheless), it has been a great 4 months! I find it to be fast, quiet, VERY user-friendly, easy to set up and wonderful quality! My previous HP printer had been printing weird blank lines through the text/pictures for some time. It also wouldn't align my images when I used cardstock...very curious. This one has been perfect! I use the HP Instant Ink program, and as a 2nd Grade teacher, I print a lot, so I use the 300 pages/month plan. Save for one faulty ink tank (quickly rectified), every experience has been great and the printer produces high quality, fast images. Highly recommend!

Great printer for household use. Setup is easy; anyone can do it. I've test-printed and scanned multiple documents and can confirm both were successful. Likes: Wide printer, sturdy, colored touch screen panel, printer controls on phone via HP app, printing/scanning from my phone directly to the device, scanning a PDF or image to my email, document feeder, and paper tray that holds a decent chunk of paper. Dislike Not being able to set the scanner to automatically scan double-sided. You have to manually scan each side with this device. Not a huge deal, unless you're a business or just a frequent scanner.

I purchased this printer because I needed a replacement for my hp deskjet 3050 which has served me faithfully for almost a decade. This Hp Envy 6555e looks pretty neat, got it for $100 which I think is a good price. Upon setup the touchscreen display had a slight delay (haven’t noticed it since), the sensitivity to touch is good. The HP application is easy to use, and I have no problems connecting the printer to WiFi and using HP print or AirPrint. It seems quite sturdy and well-made. It works with HP 68 ink. I have no interest in the Instant Ink Subscription programme and I haven’t had any nagging prompts to join the programme as others have mentioned. The Print quality is good. My only negative observation so far is that in comparison to my old printer, the print speed is a bit slow. Otherwise, I’m quite satisfied with my purchase.

After owning this printer 3 months I'm already looking for a different brand or same brand different model. First, the ink is very expensive much more than I've paid for other hp printers. Hint: when choosing a printer check the price of ink and if there are 3rd party refill ink cartridges that are reliable. And give the ink price a part of deciding. Ink for this runs about $90 average for even generic brands and there are not many available. Yes hp sells a black cartridge for $23 bucks. It says 160 pages but more like 80. So it will require at least 2 in a month or 5 weeks. So with tax about $200 a year or more. The printer is very moody and very loud. When it starts printing it makes a loud bang sound. The printing is quite noisy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It typically doesn't work when I need it. It seems to get stuck with processing a print job. So you unplug it and often too unplug you're computer or device. Plug them back in restart and 50/50 chance it will clear. Most of often have to download the apps to diagnose then fix the issue. Close your eyes and visualize doing this once or twice a day when you have to get documents printed quickly. Idk I paid $99 bucks but I'm willing to throw it out or donate. It's a shame. Now when it works irs very good and prints fast. If you're a casual user and don't mind constantly troubleshooting then it's for you.

After my trusty old HP printer bit the dust, I wasted money on a refurbished HP that was impossible to even set up (thank goodness for Amazon's return policy). This 6555e model was a breeze to set up--took less than 30 minutes, and I did most of it with my iPhone. It has printed without issue from my laptop and phone alike, except some documents have not printed on both sides like I wanted (a few did). Finally, I'm really happy with the printer's profile: It looked like it would sit awkwardly high, but it's much lower and sleeker than I feared. So far I'm giving this a 10/10, and it was worth spending several hours researching and comparing models before purchasing this.

Best printer for the price! I love the speed and it prints on both sides if necessary!! That's an added plus! Ink lasts a long time and it runs very quiet!

This seemed like a really good deal, so we went for it. It was a pretty easy setup but whenever we print a picture or just words, there are little lines through everything. The quality of the printing isn't great. I hope it's the print cartridges that came with it maybe? Otherwise, everything seems great. Will update if it gets better!

I’m not the most tech-savvy person, but this printer was a breeze to set up. The instructions were clear, and it connected to my Wi-Fi without any issues. I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes!

Have had this printer for a few days. Works well,easy-to-use. Love that HP has steered away from Styrofoam packing.

The set up was easy. The printer is slow, which is fine for me, but may not work for someone who needs to print quickly.

I’m not impressed. Half the time I need to restart my computer to print. The other half it takes about few minutes to start printing. There is no error code. Just very slow. And sometimes I’ll open the print queue and it says print job complete but nothing has printed. Keep looking folks
