Bought as a Xmas gift for my husband and he loves it! The value for the money is unmatched. Fast speed and holds lots a memory. Also very lightweight

This is good value laptop for what you pay. Good performance which is enough for the type of tasks and browsing I'm doing, like online school. It's not too heavy, but doesn't feel cheap. Screen size is plenty for my tasks. What took away a star though is the warranty. I bought this in November 2024 and it should have a 1 year warranty. I went to the HP site and the warranty is expired, it apparently started on January 31st , which seems very odd to me. Anyone buying this today could very well be buying an out of warranty laptop. Still, HP publishes excellent service manuals.

I ordered this new laptop at Christmas for my studying-on-line student. He has a large load of coursework and is thrilled with how well he can study, schedule, and submit everything so easily. He is getting all "A" grades so far!

If I could go back and talk to my 18 year old self, I would just go to Best Buy and buy the $300 hp laptop for college. This computer is extremely annoyingly slow at the worst times. I only used this computer for basic school stuff like canvas, word, google doc etc. and it would lag not load completely or just freeze. The rare time I would try to use Hulu or Netflix it would be extremely laggy or slow to get to the page. I have had this laptop since August 2021 and debating on getting a new one. The times that show how bad the processor is, is when trying to write a research paper or looking for general information in multiple tabs. And do not bother to online shop it will be extremely laggy and slow and would be way faster to use a phone. This was the first laptop I ever purchased for personal use solely for nursing school. I only use the laptop during the semester so it was worth the $200 I had at the time since I’m not a computer dominated person and had a tight budget but would NOT recommend for an incoming college student. I would say look out for sales at best buy before school begins! The thing is, it’s decent enough that I wouldn’t buy a new laptop or return but I would never recommend it to someone else and would not be sad if it broke!

Works, took a while to set up but I have slow Internet. I took two stars off because I did not realize the storage was external. I am not tech savvy and I feel like it should have been more clear. Probably a me issue but just be informed. The external storage does work well but the sd card falls out of place when moving the whole system with the external storage.

The laptop was received before expected, which was a good thing. It was easy to set up. Loading everything was a little slow. Otherwise, I am pleased with this purchase.

I love this little laptop, however this laptop must be a new revision as the ports look nothing like that image. 1 usb c port on left, 2 usb standards on right and a hdmi port and of all things a Ethernet jack for wired internet. I actually like the fact it can be wired and the sd card i can do without, but this product listing is now inaccurate. Please revise for new model.

2 weeks aftwer we bought it the internal microphone stopped working and it took us 6 days to reach out to the technical department in hp! On another hand they stayed for 3 hours on the phone couldnt fix it! Then said they will send a ups box to collext it and send a replacement... it was delayed we called to check they said 3 more days and no replacement for the time of repair !!! Plus it needs 11 working days to be fixed and 4 business days to be shipped. On top of that the printer driver disapeared it stopped working and stopped detecting printers!! HP is a headache!! Bad choice dont buy this !

It's slow and the sound quality is abysmal.
