I had read so many reviews before deciding to purchase, and I came to one conclusion from so many people writing bad reviews — you all don’t know how to cook! I have cooked fish, seared a steak, cooked scrambled eggs with cheese, poached an egg, fried bacon, made a bourbon reduction sauce with molasses and the consistent result from all these — everything was cooked to perfection and literally slid right out of the pan. I wanted to try these particular pans because for so long I’ve used Lodge cast iron pans. Don’t get me wrong my cast iron pans are amazing but the constant maintenance can be exhausting. The Hexclad pan is being promoted as a hybrid of stainless steel, the durability of cast iron, and completely non-stick. They didn’t disappoint. Plus they’re so much lighter than my cast iron skillets and cleanups are a breeze. Let me give anyone who reads this a few tips: #1 Follow the directions given in the package. #2 Please, put a buffer between what you’re cooking and the pan. I use beef tallow, lard, or ghee. And please whatever you do, stay away from seed oils. Not only are they extremely unhealthy for you but their high heat points can’t cut it like natural fats. #3 Cook on low to medium heat. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be surprised at how well these pans heat up. #4 When using any stainless steel utensils, don’t dig into the pan or use a fork with the tines down scraping the bottom, or doing the same thing with a knife, or ….. you get the point. See what I did there? Point? And lastly #5 …… refer back to #2 and you won’t go wrong. Watching some of the videos where someone is cooking scrambled eggs without a buffer — what did you think was going to happen!? SMH Happy cooking! Update: I have used this pan for just about everything and I absolutely love it. It has literally became my favorite pan. Cooking is fun once again and the food tastes better. The ergonomics of the pan handle helps as it stays cool. But don’t put your pan in the oven at 500° and then grab it by the handle because your’re itching for a burn you don’t want. This pan is a little heavier than what most of you are use to with your Teflon pans; that’s because they’re made from quality materials. I am disappointed they’re made in China, but they are designed and planned here in the US. So the reason for writing this update is, and as I stated earlier, I really love this pan. So much so I purchased the complete set. Everyone has their own set of pans they love, and all I’m doing is giving you my two cents worth. As of right now 11.21.2024, Hexclad has their Black Friday sale. Check them out as you won’t be disappointed. Happy cooking!

This thing is just flat out awesome. It’s the MacBook Pro of music production computers. The Sony OLED of TV’s. The Porsche 911 of supercars. It’s just flat out refined, attractive and all around premium. Weight seems easy to handle and control. Like it’s more balanced, I don’t know how it stacks up in actual weight. I go by feel. (Go do curls if it’s too heavy). It heats up fast, oil glides on it and distributes effortlessly. It creates a phenomenal sear on a steak, and using a metal spoon to baste has not caused any visible marks or abrasions. I haven’t had it long, but I do know to definitely season it. This thing needs to be taken care of, and I bet it will take care of you for a long time. I registered the warranty immediately before firing it up. It’s just fantastic. Worth every penny. Thanks Gordon Ramsey for the recommendation. I can’t imagine what his accreditation is though.

I’d been happily cooking with my 25 year old stainless steel and copper bottom pots and pans when finally, piece by piece, they started to fall apart. To be fair, I put them in the dishwasher and wasn’t easy on them. They got a LOT of use and 25 years is a good long time. When we moved out of state I knew I’d need new cookware. I spent way too many hours researching and finally decided on Hex Clad. And I love these pieces. I have both the pots and the pans, purchasing my final piece - the 12” skillet - and I could not be happier. They cook evenly, require less heat from the stovetop, somehow manage to cook a wide variety of foods perfectly. They clean up super easy. I bought silicone and wood utensils to use with them but I’ve also stirred a pot of soup with a metal spoon and no damage was done to the surface coating. I’ve hand washed my Hex Clad and I’ve put them in the dishwasher when I’m lazy. They come out of the dishwasher looking new. The lids are high quality too. They have a nice heft to them and I believe they are going to last a very long time.

This pan is amazing! It’s truly non-stick and so easy to clean. It distributes the heat appropriately. Love it!

This pan is exquisite! Distributes heat perfectly but the best part is nothing sticks to this guy. I accidentally left gravy in this pan on a lit burner on low, completely forgot it for hours, then discovered it with all the gravy completely burnt to oblivion. The gravy washed right out of it. No problems at all, and no burnt taste leaching onto other foods cooked in the pan! I’m now about to purchase the quart size pot. Hope to get all the essentials over time!

I have tried a dozen or more non-stick small skillets and this is the far-and-away winner. Yes, it may be twice the price of others, or more, but the non-stick is real and the power use is far less. It cooks at lower temps and cleans with a paper towel, leaving it ready for the next course you want to cook. And believe them: do not use high heat except for a minute to sear a steak. Otherwise, low or medium low is fine and effective. A great product and I go mine (with the lid) on sale from Amazon and jumped at the deal about $30 less than normal. Watch for the sales.

When we first started using the pan, it worked great. However now that I’ve had it about a month or so, I’ve noticed that some foods are beginning to stick to it while being cooked even though I’m using olive oil to cook with. Fortunately, the cleanup is still easy as the food is not sticking fast to the pan requiring a hard scrub as has been the case with many other pans before this one…..

So far we love everything about this pan. My previous non stick pan was not truly non stick....So we donated it.... This pan is everything as advertised, non stick, needs lower heat, heats up faster due to the metals ability to conduct the heat. Scratch resistant to metal. Expensive but worth it. And it comes with a life time warranty....

OMG!! This pan is fantastic. It cleans up so easily. It sears so well even with lower heat. I love this pan would recommend for anyone. Expensive but not when you consider how long it’s going to last!!!

I wanted a larger non stick frying pan and decided on this one. It was pricey but is very good quality. Make sure to season as directed by the package insert. I did so and have used it many times now cooking eggs, chicken and pork. It heats pretty evenly for such a large pan and is easy to clean afterwards. The added dome lid is also very useful and is also of great quality. To be sure, it's expensive but after many uses I would say it is definitely worth the extra $.
