I bought this electric scooter some time ago. It's really easy to use! I must share it with you. Its operation is very simple. A little white like me, who has never touched it before, read the instruction manual, and after a little groping for a while, it was easy to get started. The start is smooth and the acceleration is smooth, so you don't have to worry about suddenly rushing forward. You can easily cope with short-distance travel in the surrounding area, which saves a lot of time.battery life also exceeded my expectations. Once fully charged, according to my daily frequency, it can meet my travel needs for several days without worrying about insufficient battery at all. If your commuting distance is not particularly long, its battery life will be more sufficient. It also can folded with one button. easily carry it up and down stairs, It doesn't take up much space at home or in the corner 。Its configuration is also in place. The brakes are sensitive, and you can brake quickly with a light pinch. There are also lights and reflective strips in front and behind. When riding at night, people around me can see me clearly, which ensures my travel safety. The grip of the tires is also very strong. Even on some less flat roads, they can drive steadily and will not slip easily.

[UPDATE: May -April 2024 It has almost been a year since I have been with Hiboy and I have got to say that the scooter has definitely served as a staple within my life. I don’t have a car so this is my main means of transportation. I want to mention that despite pieces becoming damaged or questionable faulty issues within a particular piece, Hiboy has not let me down as far as replacements. Of course, with video/photo evidence, they want to see what the issue is. Upon understanding of issue, they have sent me any and all pieces needed to remedy the situation. A big help has been them sending me inner tubes for my flats and even a tire once the tread had wore down. I’ve also received a stem, some side covers, a fender, etc. anything the scooter may lack is covered by the company in responsiveness and willingness to assist in the remedy of said problems. I’m about 200lbs and bags usually weigh between 10-30 lbs. scooter still gets me up hills and zips me across my areas streets. Definitely will move faster the lighter you are so lose some weight buddy. Also , I have never had an issue with the head lights. That’s pretty cool. (April 9, 2024) ] May 26 , 2023- q we Upon opening the box for this product, I was met with a fairly simple set up. Everything comes pretty much put together, and the handlebar is the only part that needs to be attached (6 screws completed with Allen key that is provided). The wiring that must be manually connected in the neck was a bit sketchy as I had to “find” a way to get it all to fit while securing the neck closed. Didn’t want to squeeze or rupture anything. GOOD: The scooters riding capability is great. It catches speed pretty quickly and has zero-start capabilities. Just for comparison purposes, I’m about 183 lbs, and 5’8.5 ft. The scooter has me feeling as if I weigh less the way it zips me around. I’ve also went small grocery shopping and also carry a backpack with items often and it has no problem handling the extra load. Mind you, hill performance will be slightly affected depending on weight. It climbs hills at a solid speed , about 11-14 mph and even greater depending on hill size. I’ve got some pretty steep hills in my area just for reference. The scooter is pretty solid in frame. It has a wide platform for great standing stability and the rubber grip is very helpful. The motor compartment sits pretty low so watch for speed bumps. I walked over a few speed bumps first to get a reference for which speed bumps to go over and which to stop for. It’s pretty heavy to carry for long distances. I ride to my location and fold it up and place it on a bus or train or under shopping carts in stores. I do it outside so no one says anything. I’ve caught speeds of about 25 mph going downhill and felt pretty stable and safe. You do fee bumps and cracks though so be weary. Hold bars lightly yet firmly. All in all, it’s a great All-around scooter, whether you’re commuting or just out for a joyride. NOT SO GOOD: Unfortunately I have to return mine. A day after receiving my scooter, I noticed my scooter starting to stall and make aggressive jerking and grinding sounds. This would happen when going from zero to start, when slowing down via letting go of throttle and then pressing throttle again to speed up, breaking, and then throttling after breaking. It has glitched while trying to cross roads and that had worried me a bit. Mind you, I’ve never dropped my scooter or pushed it past any limit imposed. I rode to a park one day and when I went to leave my scooters MPH section said I was going 23 mph and I was simply walking the scooter. It started glitching more before giving me the E7 error code. It’s only been under 2 weeks and I’m receiving error codes. Unfortunately I can’t ride it anymore and am sending it back. Customer service is so/so. They asked for photos to see if it was a problem I could fix myself. It’s a motor issue which I cannot do myself so they’ve asked if I wanted a replacement. No word back from them yet but I am hoping that they follow through. ( THEY FOLLOWED THROUGH. SENT A NEW SCOOTER TO ME ONCE I SENT THE FAULTY ONE BACK TO THEM) I hope that my incident was a rare one and isolated. Would not want other riders’ scooters giving out in front of passing cars or on busy road ways. That poses a definite danger. Will update later on results👍🏽 (UPDATE - they sent me a new scooter to replace the one with the E7 issue. Have been riding that one ever since. Take care of your scooter and it will take care of you )

I wanted to wait before providing a review, so people could rely on the info. I bought 2 for the family for the holidays, and I feel that puts me in a slightly better position to review as I can compare them. Assembly was very easy. Two pieces to screw together. Anyone can do this but better to have two people to keep the two parts aligned. I was particularly impressed by how solid the scooters feel. They're heavy and the metal tubing is solidly constructed. No cheap feeling anywhere. The scooters came 50% charged each, which was a bonus. The chargers are similar to a PC charging cord from the past. Regular plug, too. Length of cable seems fine. Controls are straight foward, one button to press for on/off, and depending on the number of clicks on that button you can also adjust the Speed/Eco mode and the lights. The lights are worth calling out. Not only do you get a headlight, you also get red a taillight AND long length red lights under each side making you VERY visible to drivers in the evening. One of the reasons I selected this model is because of the lights for SAFETY purposes, and these lights make a huge difference. Unfortunately, at this time there are no turn-signals which would be great for a follow-up model. Battery life wise, the units seem to hold a charge quite well even with use. We use a few miles a week including elevation, and I charge about once a month. On elevation, I would say that angles over 25-30% grade you will feel a slow down and the scooter provides warning bars in terms of battery heat, just so you are aware. I've never had to stop due to battery temp but have seen the bars (orange then red) pop on during steep elevation. Speed and control are great. My kids have gone to 18 mph, but I prefer the 11-14 mph speed. No one has ever complained about not being able to go fast enought. The tires are larger than I expected which is good and they have more rubber. they're just larger than normal but not "big". They offer a nice, smoother ride. The only anomoly I noticed among the two units is one of them takes longer to charge. I suspect there may be a dead cell or two in the battery pack array. It's never been an issue but it's the only difference between the two units, which I would give 5 stars each.

After using this scooter for quite a while I can strongly say it’s completely worth the price. It comes with an app fully loaded with adjustments things like the break sensitivity the max speed and much more are all ajustable from the easy to use app. The app comes with a great feature called park mode, witch allows u to park your scooter and quickly go into a store, this is also really handy when locking it as it provides an extra level of security. My favourite features are the regenerative breaking when pressed the scooter slows to a smooth stop and regenerates power at the same time. And the adaptability to add a seat to it. This scooter is fast and u can switch modes to an economy mode which saves power and a sport mode that makes u go FAST, when I say fast I mean it I was passing cyclists with ease. This scooter packs a punch with both its speed and the distance it can travel. Overall this scooter is very well built and user friendly it’s safe to ride at night with its really bright led lights. I definitely recommend this to anyone, definitely one of the best scooters in this price range.

I’m 47 with a knee condition. I use this purely for commuting to the train station. I love it, although standing was hurting my knee because of the vibrations so I got the seat too. **Regarding the seat** As it’s not usually shipped or used, the metal plate the seat is weak tack welded. This meant that after a couple of bunks in the road, the plate worked free and I needed to weld it properly and add some brackets - hopefully HiBoy will acknowledge this… Excellent bit of kit overall, best purchase in a very long time.
