As an avid espresso drinker and long-time Nespresso user, I’ve found a new favorite: Illy Intenso Ground Espresso + reusable capsules (I use it with my Nespresso machine). My Pros: 1. It delivers a bold, robust flavor with deep cocoa notes. The zero-plastic, sealed aluminum packaging preserves the coffee’s freshness and flavor, far superior to traditional multi-layered packaging. 2. The recyclable aluminum container is a step towards sustainability, reducing plastic waste. 3. Switching to Illy + reusable capsules has saved me a significant amount, estimated between $500 to $600 annually, compared to Nespresso capsules. 4. No preservatives or additives, offering a real expresso experience. My Cons: 1. It lacks the variety of Nespresso capsules. 2. Manual capsule filling requires some effort, but the cost savings and environmental benefits make it worthwhile. 3. The superior quality comes at a slightly higher price point than regular coffee brands. If you are like me and appreciate the convenience of Nespresso but seek a more sustainable and cost-effective option, Illy Intenso Ground Espresso paired with reusable capsules is an excellent choice. For those curious, I use Triplot reusable espresso capsules.

This is my go to coffee when I want to treat myself. Unlike a lot of dark roasts in the store, this one is smooth, not at all bitter. Removing the seal is heavenly - the burst of well roasted grounds hits well. If you're looking for a good quality coffee, this one's it.

I’ve been a regular purchaser of illy espresso for a while now. Every flavor (blend) I’ve tried has been consistently fresh, tasty and high quality. The dark roast is truly the best espresso I’ve ever tasted. I haven’t had any issues with damage in delivery or faulty cans. I try to purchase illy whenever I can!

This review is for the "Intenso" grind. The coffee tastes great and is an actual fine espresso grind. Unfortunately there are too many products advertised as an espresso grind which are not finely ground beans. In the photo Right is this Intenso product, compared to photo Left which was another product, also advertised as "espresso" grind but ground coarsely.

Rich a little the color was good and light it’s a good quality coffee but it taste like instant coffee to me

I add this to my chocolate chip cookie recipe and to my brownies!! It gives it a richer taste and everyone loves my cookies! It’s a staple item I keep on hand all the time.

Update: I have upgraded from the 2 stars I had originally given this review to 5 stars because I contacted the seller regarding missing lid problem, and the company resolved the issue to my satisfaction. During our phone conversation, they were very professional and nice, couldn't ask for more. This was done promptly, I had forgotten to update this until now. Below is the original feedback that I had written before the issue was resolved. This product came without its twist cover (lid). Once it was opened by pulling on the metal pin, there was no way of closing the product to preserve freshness because the cover that was supposed to have been included was missing. I had to use a silicone stretch lid in order to cover it with something to not leave the can opened all the time.
