Update to initial review: They responded via email within two hours and it was a very simple solution and support was prompt. For that reason I will give them a five. Things happen and they handled it well. It was very convenient to access support . The lamp is gorgeous and working like magic! Original Review: It was beautiful and I loved the look of the lamp. I was careful to read the instructions and not leave it on too long. It advises against longer than 12 hours of use. I never kept in more than 8 hours. Unfortunately the coil came loose on the bottom and the wax just stays in a blob now. I have emailed the manufacturer so we will find out what they do next.

Updated review - after following advice on Reddit to leave a new lava lamp plugged in for at least 8 hours for the first use, it is now working as advertised! Purchased for Christmas gift and decided to test prior to gifting based on other reviews. Glad I did because it is defective. Left plugged in for several hours to see if it would start to work and it does nothing. Blue is pretty but the yellow is a solid chunk of non-moving wax.

I was looking for a regular lava lamp when I found this one and after seeing it I just had to have it. The glitter is quite nice when it's shining against the wall and reflecting all the colors back. It was very easy to assemble and seems like it will last quite a while. I do wish there a few more color options for the base as I am not big on the gold color I might have found some if I had kept looking but I like the idea of the multi colored glitter and the size of the lamp is quite nice so I just stuck with this one but I will say as far as the gold color it is starting to grow on me a little.

The gold is brassy which is fine but I feel like the multicolor glitter itself has faded in the 2 weeks we’ve had it ☹️ I didn’t realize the angle the sun shines in on it during the day. Will be covering to prevent more fading. My baby LOVES it. Mesmerized 😍 EDITED: 2 months later the glitter is basically silver and blue ☹️ if I had known I would’ve gotten the silver one from the get go.

It’s a lava lamp, it’s hard to mess it up. It’s sturdy and looks good. It’s not bright and not to dark, perfect for a room with little to not light. It’s good value for what you get. I’d recommend this to most people.

My kids are 13 and 6 and they both super love them, but unfortunately 1 of the lamps completely failed internally in less than 45 days. The spring at the bottom that helps shape the "lava" popped loose as seen in the picture and now they either don't form at all or are completely unrecognizable and almost scary shapes that it creates. I have not once let them run for more than 8 hours at a time and always a cooldown the rest of the day while my kids are away, so it was not for my neglect. They've also never been moved or tampered with since first plugged in (yes, I trust my 6yo in this as I made it quite clear she'd break it if not get mildly burned while it was on as well). So 50% of the product was a complete dud and disappointment AND I let the seller know but have not heard anything back so am out the money less than 15 days after the 30 day window. Great product when it's working and my son loves his, but my daughter's was a complete fail. 1 of 2 of a product does not equal 2.5 stars, especially when it only took 40 days for it to die. 1 star it is and I'm sad the seller simply didn't respond to me to correct this.

So I bought my daughter one of these as a replacement for one she bought and was nonoperational. Hers looked great right out of the package. The liquid was a clear pink. We have been using it every day for three days and it's perfect. Seeing how much I liked it my husband encouraged me to buy one for myself. I just opened the box and the blue liquid is very cloudy. Can't see through it at all. It doesn't look like the pictures posted by other customers. I'm heating it up for the first time now and keeping my fingers crossed. I was really looking forward to this. If it clears up I will update my review. If not I'll contact the seller and hopefully they can help me like they did their other customers who had the same issue. It didn't work. The wax melted and started moving but the liquid is so cloudy I can barely see the wax. I returning it and getting a replacement sent. I'm trying to not get my hopes up. At least my daughter's lamp works well. Edit: The defective lamp was picked up and the replacement delivered literally the day after I posted my review. They even offered me a full refund even though I had already gotten the new one. Can't ask for better customer service. The last picture is the replacement lamp. Looks so cool 😎

Bought it for my 11 year old grandson's birthday - he always wanted one on his shelf because his mom had one when she was little! Excellent size, beautiful colors and very sturdy.

I bought this lava lamp for my boyfriend. At first it took a really long time to heat up and the “lava” was stuck to the bottom. A little flip upside down and it started separating. We absolutely love it! It is so cool and the colors are vibrant and really pretty. Takes a little while to heat up but once it starts going it really is awesome!
