I bought this brand because my Mom had one and hers had broken (she had it for awhile). Read the instructions and make sure you have air out before turning it on (there's youtube videos on this) but it works really well. It's not really designed for large spaces because it will take you awhile but we did a large carport area in sections over several days and it did the job. It has 3 spray nozzles but we only used one for this particular job. The nozzle for the soap would be good for washing your car because it's not as strong a stream. There is a nozzle that makes a more concentrated stream but we didn't have use for it this time that we used it. We ran it for several hours straight with no issues. Had plenty of electrical line and plenty of hose line for what we needed to do. Easy to move around as it has wheels but we did not try and pull it around like some of those that are lower to the ground. I didn't feel like we needed to move it all that much to cover the areas we were working on. The carport was heavily covered in algae so it did take smaller stronger sprays to get the algae off. In the one area not exposed to the sun, it went much faster to get the layers of dust off and some stains. We used a degreaser (not through the detergent bin) to get some of the more heavily stained areas clean. I haven't used any other brands but I can recommend this one as being sturdy and stores super nice with everything fitting in the device itself.

Make sure there is no air in the system before you power up! I ran this pressure washer for just over an hour right out of the box with no issues whatsoever. Ten minutes later I ran the machine for another hour and a half and I'm pleased to say, no issues. Pressure is so strong I have to pull the trigger and then power up using the switch. Fast cleaning, several tips that snap into place. I feel like this is a tool that makes my "must have list". A swivel on the pressure hose is needed to stop the typical wrestling match to make it straight or roll it up... GREAT TOOL @ economy pricing and a real work horse...!

I have had numerous pressure washers and this is a great little unit. Works well on cleaning walks and pavers, and with a little extra effort, on cleaning tire marks off a concrete driveway. I did not use any detergent, just water on these projects. I ordered some detergent so will see how that improves cleaning. I considered the K1700 Cube for the reduced space it would take in storage. The machines are identical in cleaning power, but I chose the wheeled model for two reasons. First was the cord wrap which keeps the cord and GFCI plug high and dry, while the Cube model requires you store the cord in the same bucket as the hose. Not a great idea in my opinion and others complain that they do not fit well in the smaller bucket. Secondly, the storage bucket is larger, making coiling the hose easier. There is plenty of room for the hose, trigger handle and the lance. Plus, there is enough room in the bucket for a 25 foot collapsible hose too. Keeps it all together and easy to transport wherever you like. And the bucket is removable for cleaning if needed. I found three negatives thus far. First the "removable" soap dispenser is not really removable. The dispenser container has a small barbed outlet tube covered with a spring at the bottom. The tube is not long enough to allow the container to be easily removed and a pinch clip needs to be released to disconnect the tube from the container. I don't have huge hands, but it seems you really need tiny hands to disconnect the tube and reconnect it. Tried it once and it will not be disconnected again. A longer tube would be a much better design. While I suppose you could add another longer tube section with a barb connection, I do not think consumers should have to retrofit purchases to work properly. Second negative is the GFCI configuration. It has two prongs rather than the usual three so I can only presume the pressure washer electrical components are double insulated. If you have the newer outdoor outlets, you know they are recessed in the weather resistant box, so you may or may not be able to plug in the GFCI to the outlet. Use of extension cords is not suggested so I have a short 24 inch three prong heavy duty cord that works so it can be plugged in to any outlet. Third negative, if you want to call it that, is the lack of multiple nozzles included. You do get a soap nozzle and a high pressure nozzle along with the turbo nozzle. But, since these washers do not have adjustable pressure settings, what about a gentler or more powerful spray? Not available unless you purchase additional spray tips, which I did. Amazon sells a set of 5 spray tips for under $8 which work perfectly, giving you anything from a pinpoint to a fan spray. Conclusion is that this is a great machine for all around use at the house. 1700 PSI seems to be just about right for most cleaning chores. I know this is not a 3000 PSI gas washer, and I have had those too. But the gas storage, gas odor and inconvenience of maintenance, oil changes, etc outweigh the slight inconvenience of the electric cord for me.

This unit works very well for small and medium duty job. Back of my house is bad for mildew ( not enough sun. ) The sidewalk turns black with embedded mildew. This unit cleaned it back white. I would buy it again and probably will if I forget to bring it inside next Winter. They will freese and bust if you don't protect it from freesing whether. COMPACT DESIGN. NICE.

I purchased this pressure washer to detail our vehicles (foam and rinse each vehicle’s paint, engine and undercarriage), power wash mats, etc. I am a weekend warrior … not a professional detailer. I only detail about 1-2 cars per week (on average) … so, I don’t need an expensive pressure washer. Given my needs, my research pointed me to this unit as my best value … being able to provide low enough water pressure to avoid damaging a vehicle’s paint while being both affordable and of reasonable build quality for weekend warriors use. In addition to good function and good value, I also wanted ease of access to (and storage of) the unit. So, I installed my unit on a wall shelf and added an MTM Hydro 50-foot hose reel below the wall shelf (see photo). Pros: The K1700 cube comes with fittings that are commonly used by higher quality pressure washers (M22 threads and 1/4” fittings). I bought and installed MTM Hydro 1/4" stainless steel quick connects to easily connect / disconnect the unit from my home’s water source, its hoses, etc. that were readily available and didn’t require special adaptor fittings to work on the K1700. This was important to me because I live in a climate with freezing temperatures in the winter, don’t have a heated garage and therefore store my setup in my basement for the winter. The K1700 cube is relatively light and compact … facilitating my shelf install. The K1700 cube has an easy to use and convenient foot pedal to turn the machine on and off. Because my setup is on a wall shelf, I simply press the pedal with my hand. The K1700 cube has a water intake on the left side and its water outlet on the front. These locations work very well for connecting hoses for the summer (and disconnecting the machine and the hoses for winter storage) … especially when you have a wall shelf installation. The K1700 cube’s water pressure and water output (that I have reduced by using a 40-degree 3.0 orifice MTM Hydro quick connect nozzle and an MJJC Foam Cannon with 1/4 Inch Quick Connector) is sufficient for my applications. This machine comes with a 25-foot power cord with built-in GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) protection designed to shut off the machines electric power in the event of a ground-fault (such as contact with water.). This hose length should be more than adequate for most every installation. The K1700 cube has a built-in storage container. I use mine for storing extra nozzles (I bought a set of MTM Hydro 3.0 quick connect nozzles), etc. Finally, the K1700 cube comes with a 3-year warranty (the cube unit … I don’t believe the warranty covers all the accessories). This is a very good warranty for a more “budget” pressure washer. I should point out that more “budget” units like the K1700 (although well made) are not designed to last forever. So, for Karcher to warranty this unit suggests their confidence in the product. Certainly, based on my experience so far, the K1700 cube appears well-made and has not given me any problems. Cons: The K1700 is not designed for cleaning decks, driveways, etc. If you are seeking a pressure washer to perform these tasks easily, look for a higher PSI machine. This is not a problem for me. I use my K1700 cube strictly for car detailing. I have a much more powerful pressure washer for handling tasks that require higher PSI ratings. This machine comes with “budget” accessories … a 20 foot pressure washer hose, a pressure washer gun and wand and some nozzles. The problem is that all lower cost pressure washers come with what I would describe as “budget” accessories (hoses that are too short in length, inflexible and tangle and break easily, pressure washer guns and wands that are made out of lesser quality parts), etc. I left the attachments that came with my K1700 cube in the box and bought higher quality attachments … a hose 50 foot MTM Hydro Kobrajet hose, a Mosmatic NEO pressure washer gun with swivel (again that can be quickly and easily connected / disconnected using my quick connects) … am very happy that I did. It has greatly enhanced my pressure washing experience … eliminating fighting with lesser quality components as well as making my pressure washer very convenient to use and to put away / store after use. The K1700 cube comes with a build-in soap dispenser. For me, this is a con because I use a foam cannon (or other foamers and sprayers) to apply cleaning products (like car shampoo, wheel and tire cleaners, engine degreasers, etc.). I never use built-in “features” like soap dispensers … which I should point out only function as a sprayer (not a foamer). Recommendation: I highly recommend the Karcher K1700 Cube. In my humble opinion, I am of the view that this unit was by far the best value for money to meet my needs (for all the reasons that I set out above). Notwithstanding, I suggest that if you are considering buying this unit (or any other unit that includes accessories with the unit) for car detailing (or other applications), that you replace the accessories (pressure washer hose, spray gun and nozzles) that ship with the unit with higher quality accessories. You also may want to consider buying quick connectors to make attaching / detaching pressure washer guns, foam cannons, etc. faster and more convenient. I made these modifications right at setup. But, these upgrades can be done at any time. It has certainly improved my car detaining experience.

5 stars despite a minor but easily fixed problem. After 5 minutes use the cleaner was not as effective and the photos show why. A small piece of plastic “swarf” had blocked one of the white nozzles orifice. After removing the two retaining clips/nozzles/”O” rings I connected the surface cleaner to the pressure washer and pulled the gun trigger to flush any other bits of “swarf” out of the pipework. The piece of swarf* sticking out of the nozzle was cut off and the nozzle blown through with compressed air to eject the remaining swarf* out of the back of the nozzle (* the two black bits in front of the right hand “O” ring) If I had not had compressed air to use I would have tried to vacuum out the the nozzle rather than poking the swarf out with a pin and possibly damaging the nozzle. So, if you buy this surface cleaner, you may want to consider removing the two retaining clips/nozzles/”O” rings and flushing the pipe work before you first use the cleaner.

We used this for cleaning our stone patio and sidewalk. It made a good difference and gave the stones a fredh look. The best part is that it keeps the dirt down with no sand spraying all over the plave. What an improvement to the process. Highly recommended.
