When I received it, I had a hard time attaching the transmitter/microphone to the headset. The wire connector (hook) was simply too tight. I took a pair of pliers to loosen up the hook and now it connects perfectly. Setup is now a cinch and the sound quality is clear. I really like the nice carrying case that came with it.

My cycle class instructor uses one of these, and what I noticed was that I did not hear her breathing, nor a lot of extraneous noise. I have used it a couple of times in front of a group of people, while walking around and being about 30 feet from the receiver, and it worked very well.

This is a good value. It connects quickly every time and it's light to wear. The only issue is that the mic arm won't stay at a fixed angle to keep the mic at your mouth. It drops below and I'm pulling it back to my mouth a lot. Would love to know how to fix it, but barring that, it's a good and affordable way to ensure your mic is clean, charged, and works.

Bought this mic on August 12. It worked great and then suddenly it became full of static and not usable. I missed the return window by 1 week! Willing to re-order and try again but only if I get a credit for this one.

A friend of mine read my review and told me I had given only 3 stars, so I feel as if I need to update and change to 5 stars. I teach about 230-280 classes a year at the Y and this mic is still going strong after 4 years. I couldn’t possibly ask for more. I’ve kept the wording of my original review as written, because there really wasn’t anything to change. I did solve the “drooping” mic by wrapping the extended part with wire, so it always stays in place, but that doesn’t change the fact that “as is” you may have a problem with it falling a little. It still works better on the stereos that accept the larger size Jack than the smaller. But 4 years of good service for this price? 5 stars all the way. I use this mic when teaching Les Mills Bodypump classes at some local YMCAs. At one Y, the receiver part plugs directly into the stereo mic jack and the sound is EXCELLENT. At the other Y the receiver piece plugs into a wireless unit that is meant for another type of mic and the sound is not very good. So, the key thing to know here is that the sound may vary depending on your setup. The main reason I purchased it is that the transmitter is in the mic itself; I hate the wireless mics that have clip on transmitters that you wear at your waist. The headset fits well and can be bent to adjust to your head size. Several of us use this type of mic and some of my friends have had to use rubber bands to adjust for head size and those work well also. My only real complaint (and some of my friends have the same issue) is that the wire attaching the mic to the headset is not very stiff; the mic often falls below my chin and I have to readjust. That’s kind of a big deal, hence my rating of only 3 stars, but I still prefer this to any mic with a separate wearable transmitter. Other observations: Charging is easy and it always lasts through my hour long class (but I’ve never tested how long it will run on a charge). The case is excellent. I’ve never had an issue syncing the receiver and headset. I teach about 60 feet from the stereo and the connection is perfect.

I bought this to replace an older model. Love it! Holds a charge for 3 hour fitness classes. Charges super easy with wall cord. It’s light on the headset. I used the AV extension for a large speaker (in the guitar input that comes with it) as well as hooked it up Bluetooth style for my music at the same time. I love not having a cord when using this. It’s water resistant and used on the pool as well. Our last one was plugged in the wall the whole time we weren’t using it-we think it was just plugged in too long. So we only plug this to recharge and once done, unplug. These are the best fit the price that I’ve seen. Comes in a great carrying case too!

I purchased this mic to teach a dance fitness class where there is lots of jumping and moving around. The mic has AMAZING sound, but it does not fit well to my head so it was moving around a lot. To fix this problem, I purchased an E-mic adjustment band and attached it to the headset. I used to 2 zip ties to create stopping points for the E-mic adjustment band and cut off the long ends of the zip ties. See attached picture. This was a great solution and now the mic fits snugly on my head. My one wish is that Kimafun would shorten the arm from the receiver to the end of the microphone. It currently extends across my chin but would be a better fit if it were shorter.
